Most sectors on the S&amp;P 500 closed on a negative note, with materials, health care, and real estate stocks recording the biggest losses on Tuesday. However, information technology and communication services stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session higher.
The Dow Jones closed lower by around 382 points to 43,910.98 on Tuesday. The S&amp;P 500 fell 0.29% to 5,983.99, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.09% to close at 19,281.40 during Tuesday's session.

Powerwall is a powerful home battery that stores solar energy for use when the grid goes down. The company has previously said that it has the capacity to&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/08/40145508/tesla-says-it-can-make-one-powerwall-3-every-25-seconds-ceo-elon-musk-terms-it-a-great-product" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">build a Powerwall 3- the latest iteration of the product- every 25 seconds</a>, or more than 700,000 units per year.
Tesla's gigafactory in Nevada makes electric motors, vehicle powertrains, and batteries in addition to energy storage products. The company is looking to expand the factory further with a 100 GWh 4680 cell factory and a high-volume Tesla Semi factory.
Why It Matters:&nbsp;In the three months through the end of September, Tesla's energy generation and storage revenue<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41537560/teslas-energy-segment-boom-in-q3-sparks-leadership-changes-veteran-mike-snyder-promoted-as-vp"> touched $2,376 million</a>, marking a growth of 52% as compared to the corresponding period of last year. The energy business achieved a record gross margin of 30.5% and the powerwall product achieved record deployments.
Tesla manufactures two energy storage products- the Powerwall and the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/11/41737630/tesla-makes-10-000th-megapack-at-california-as-energy-segment-booms">powerful battery called Megapack.</a>
Tesla currently operates a Megafactory in Lathrop, California, capable of making 10,000 Megapack units in a year. The company is also putting up a Megafactory in Shanghai which it expects to start shipping Megapacks in the first quarter of 2025.
For 2024, Tesla now expects to deploy more than twice the energy storage deployed last year, or over 29.4 GWh of energy storage.

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSEM#NASDAQ">TSEM</a>) will release earnings results for its third quarter, before the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/TSEM">opening bell on Wednesday, Nov. 13.</a>

Apple's New AI Wall Tablet With Siri And Video Calling Set To Challenge Amazon And Google In Smart Home Race

The Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association (ICIA) announced the agenda for its third annual National Indigenous Cannabis Policy Summit &#8211; the first gathering of cannabis advocates in Washington, D.C. following the 2024 election.
Hosted by ICIA, the summit will take place November 13-15 in Washington D.C. and will bring together Tribal leaders, elected and government officials, businesses, healthcare professionals as well as veterans and advocacy groups. The intention is to seek solutions to the most pressing cannabis-related challenges and opportunities facing Indigenous communities. 
The conference includes educational opportunities hosted by Judge Mary Celeste of Denver, Dr. Sherman Hom, Dr. Joseph Rosado of International Medical Consultants, Shinnecock Nation tribal member Chenae Bullock, chairman Mike Fairbanks of the White Earth Reservation and more.
"This is a pivotal time for making change in the cannabis industry and creating sustainable opportunities for Indigenous communities," stated Rob Pero, founder of the ICIA and Wisconsin-based hemp company Canndigenous. "We're proud to use this platform to amplify some of the movement's most prominent voices, laying the groundwork for a more equitable future of cannabis policy."
Educational panels will also cover industrial hemp, including discussions on building with hempcrete, regulatory needs, and sustainable practices for long-term growth in the cannabis and hemp industries. Tribal leaders, healthcare professionals, and advocacy groups will participate, aiming to create actionable policy recommendations for the incoming federal administration.

Sessions will address critical topics like the legal framework of hemp derivatives (CBD, Delta-8), health risks from improper cannabis cultivation and the connection between PTSD and endocannabinoid deficiency.
"The Summit isn't only about increasing accessibility to plant medicine, although that is a very important topic of discussion for this year's conference, which will be the largest convening of cannabis policy advocates in D.C. post-election," Pero said "We will also discuss longer term environmental sustainable practices that position Indigenous communities to diversify within an industry that is already federally legal and growing exponentially. The conference will discuss the plant as a whole, and help bring the conversation into context with actionable steps and case studies."
Other areas of exploration during the summit will include applying practical lessons from the gaming industry to the cannabis industry, the implications of cannabis rescheduling for business owners and patients, using data to drive policy and much more.
