Cayson Acquisition Corp (the "Company") announced today that it priced its initial public offering of 6,000,000 units at $10.00 per unit. The Company's units will be listed on the Nasdaq Global Market ("Nasdaq") and will begin trading tomorrow, September 20, 2024, under the ticker symbol "CAPNU." Each unit consists of one ordinary share and one right entitling its holder to receive one tenth of one ordinary share upon the Company's completion of an initial business combination, subject to adjustment. Once the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, the ordinary shares and rights are expected to be listed on Nasdaq under the symbols "CAPN" and "CAPNR," respectively.

	European shares were mostly higher today. The eurozone&rsquo;s STOXX 600 gained 0.14 percent, the Spanish Ibex Index slipped 0.04 percent, while Italy&rsquo;s FTSE MIB Index gained 0.06 percent. Meanwhile the German DAX rose 0.12 percent, and the French CAC 40 gained 0.15 percent while U.K. shares rose 0.06 percent.

	Economics

	The S&amp;P Corelogic Case-Shiller home price index increased 5.1 percent year-over-year in October, versus a revised 5 percent growth in September. On the month the Case-Shiller&#39;s 20-City Home Price Index increased 0.1 percent.

	The Conference Board&#39;s consumer confidence index climbed to 113.70 for December, versus a prior reading of 107.10. Economists expected a reading of 108.10.

	The Richmond Fed manufacturing index rose to 12.00 in December, versus a prior reading of 1.00.

	The Dallas Fed Manufacturing index for December is schedule for release at 10:30 a.m. ET.

	The Treasury is set to auction 3-and 6-month bills at 11:30 a.m. ET.

U.S. stocks closed little changed on Friday, even though the Nasdaq hit another record high by the end of the trading session.

	Transgenomic Inc (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/tbio#NASDAQ">TBIO</a>) plummeted more than 43 percent, driven by the announcement of the company&rsquo;s second quarter results. A net loss of $(0.10) per share was substantially lower than the one of $(0.26) per share seen in the same quarter last year, while revenue of $500,000 implied a 13.6 year-over-year surge, and reflected higher oncology and grant revenues.

	Capnia Inc (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/capn#NASDAQ">CAPN</a>) gained almost 10 percent following its Q2 earnings report, even though a net loss of $(0.23) per share missed estimates by $0.03, and revenue of $391,000 was barely in line with expectations. Interestingly,, the sales figure implied a 3,800 percent year-over-year surge in revenue.

	Kingold Jewelry Inc (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/kgji#NASDAQ">KGJI</a>) skyrocketed 45.85 percent after the bell rang. Q2 EPS of $0.30 compared to last quarter&rsquo;s $0.01, while revenue of $390.3 million was substantially higher than last quarter&rsquo;s $249.4 million.

	Badger Meter, Inc. (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/bmi#NYSE">BMI</a>) lost almost 6 percent in Friday&rsquo;s after-hours session, after announcing a 2-for-1 stock split and a 15 percent raise in its quarterly dividend from $0.20 per share to $0.23 per share. &ldquo; Over the 10-year period ended June 30, 2016, the company has generated a 12% compound annual total return to shareholders through both a strong dividend policy and stock price appreciation,&rdquo; said CEO Richard A.
