What Happened: Louis Audet, the executive chairman of Cogeco, in a <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/gestion-audem-rejects-second-unsolicited-proposal-from-rogers-and-altice-301154512.html" style="text-decoration-line:none">statement</a> said that the family isn&#39;t interested in the&nbsp;$8.4 billion hostile bid made by Altice.
Audet claimed that this is &quot;not a negotiating strategy, but a definitive refusal.&rdquo;
Patrick Drahi-owned Altice had <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/20/10/g17951087/altice-usa-inc-presents-revised-and-enhanced-offer-to-acquire-cogeco-in-order-to-own-atlantic-broa" style="text-decoration-line:none">offered</a> $8.4 billion to acquire all outstanding shares of Cogeco, seeking to own all assets of the latter, including Atlantic Broadband.

Excluding a charge of $0.14 per share for LIFO accounting, Rite Aid lost $0.04 per share. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.14 per share on revenue of $7.12 billion. Rite Aid projects to post a 2013 loss of $0.13 to $0.31 per share, versus analysts' estimates for a loss of $0.24 per share. It expects 2013 same-store sales to be flat to up by 1.5%.

Fastenal Company (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fast#NASDAQ">FAST</a>) reported a rise in its first-quarter profit. Fastenal's quarterly profit rose to $100.19 million, or $0.34 per share, versus $79.55 million, or $0.27 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its sales climbed to $768.9 million from $640.6 million. Analysts expected earnings of $0.34 per share on revenue of $764.7 million.

ENGlobal Corp (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/eng#NASDAQ">ENG</a>) posted a Q4 loss at $0.09 per share on revenue of $76.1 million.
