Nippon Steel Execs Rally Support in Pennsylvania Amid Pushback On US Steel Takeover

The <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/10/41551461/nvidia-overtakes-apple-as-worlds-most-valuable-company-again">world&#8217;s largest market capitalization</a> company, Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>), will report its September quarter earnings on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The street is keenly waiting for the company to report its financials as its shares have risen 191% year-to-date but declined by 2.5% over the last month.
On a year-to-date basis, Nvidia has outperformed the Nasdaq 100 Index, which grew by 24%, whereas, the technology company has underperformed the index in the last month, following Nasdaq 100&#8217;s growth of 0.87%.

In response, Google acknowledged the incident in an emailed statement to <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga</a> and then <a href="https://x.com/GeminiApp/status/1857586170483585461">on</a> X, formerly Twitter. The company confirmed that the response violated its policy guidelines, and stated that actions were taken to prevent similar occurrences.
&#8220;We take these issues seriously. Large language models can sometimes respond with nonsensical responses, and this is an example of that. This response violated our <a href="https://gemini.google/policy-guidelines/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">policies</a> and we've taken action to prevent similar outputs from occurring,&#8221; a Google spokesperson told <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga</a>.
The tech giant's investigation also concluded that the incident was isolated and not reflective of a systemic issue. However, Google acknowledged that it could not rule out the possibility of a malicious attempt to provoke the chatbot into generating inappropriate behavior.
Corrective measures have since been implemented to prevent Gemini from producing similar responses in the future.

NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, also known as Shaq, is also a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/24/09/40758484/nba-legend-shaq-shows-off-his-new-widebody-carbon-fiber-tesla-cybertruck-elon-musk-has-a-on">prominent Cybertruck fan</a> &#8211; he likes it so much that he bought a second unit <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/24/08/40413674/nba-legend-shaq-missed-his-tesla-cybertruck-so-much-instead-of-shipping-it-from-vegas-to-at">instead of shipping his existing one from Vegas to Atlanta</a>.
Why It Matters: Tesla <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41284847/tesla-reveals-two-seater-cybercab-that-drives-itself">revealed the Cybercab</a> at an event near Los Angeles in October. Tesla CEO Elon Musk then said that the vehicle would enter production &#8220;before 2027&#8221; and would be priced under $30,000. The vehicle has no manual controls and is meant for autonomous driving operations alone.
Optimus, meanwhile, is also expected to be available at a $20,000- $30,000 price point once production ramps up.&nbsp;
Musk previously said that the EV company would have &#8220;genuinely useful&#8221; humanoid robots in low production for use within its factories next year. The company will &#8220;hopefully&#8221; increase production for other customers in 2026, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/07/39880470/elon-musk-pushes-back-optimus-timeline-says-teslas-humanoid-robot-will-hopefully-be-available-for-ot">he said in July. </a>However, Musk is known for providing over-ambitious timelines which he cannot deliver upon.

Analysts expect the Mooresville, North Carolina-based company to report quarterly earnings at $2.81 per share, down from $3.06 per share in the year-ago period. Lowe&#8217;s projects to report quarterly revenue of $19.91 billion, compared to $20.47 billion a year earlier, according to data from <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga Pro</a>.
On Aug. 20, the company reported adjusted earnings per share of $4.10, beating the analyst consensus of $3.99. Quarterly revenues totaled $23.586 billion, missing the street view of $24.013 billion.
