Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, has always played the game differently. Known for embracing debt – a lot of debt – he revealed in September 2023 that he's now <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/real-estate/24/01/36802983/robert-kiyosaki-rich-dad-poor-dad-author-says-he-owns-12-000-properties-acquired-with-debt-the-more">$1.2 billion in the red.&nbsp;</a>
But don't think he's worried. For Kiyosaki, debt isn't a burden; <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/24/06/39420345/robert-kiyosaki-owns-15-000-houses-says-i-would-rather-use-debt-and-pay-no-taxes">it's leverage</a>. He proudly declares he's a billionaire because he's in debt. Kiyosaki doesn't see debt as bad for everyone – as long as they know how to manage it. But, in terms of the nation, it's a different story. His perspective sharply critiques how the U.S. economy handles its ballooning debt.

In an August post on X, Kiyosaki shared:
"HOW MUCH is a trillion? A trillion seconds was 31,688 years ago. America goes a trillion $ in debt every 100 days. Do you know why you must buy gold, silver and Bitcoin?"
The numbers don't lie. According to <a href="https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/americas-finance-guide/national-debt/">government data</a>, the U.S. national debt has soared past $36 trillion as of December 2024. That's around $107,990 per person or about $273,548 per household.
And it's growing fast. Between June and November 2024 alone, the U.S. added over $2 trillion in debt, averaging roughly $1 trillion every 100 days – just as Kiyosaki said.
Kiyosaki's solution? Buy hard assets – gold, silver and Bitcoin. He's not just throwing out buzzwords. Each of these has a history of protecting wealth when trust in fiat currency erodes.

The company aims to elevate its position in the market with an entirely revamped product suite and an aggressive franchise expansion model.
Given the following, Aarde projects strong multi-year growth that will unlock significant operating leverage.
This growth is anticipated to be driven by the rollout of next-generation paid software subscriptions, a significant hardware replacement sales cycle from its existing installed base, and substantial growth from an accelerated rollout of new domestic franchise centers, the analyst notes.

Since announcing its National Franchise model and collaboration with Franchise Well in the first half of 2024, TruGolf has already secured commitments for 120 U.S. franchise locations, which represents a potential revenue of over $24 million for bundled hardware and equipment.
Going ahead, Aarde projects this number to more than double within the next 12 months.
The analyst projects accelerating revenue growth, with an expected increase of 9% year-over-year in 2024, 20% year-over-year in 2025, and 30% year-over-year in 2026.
Aarde also sees nearly breakeven EBITDA in 2024, followed by positive EBITDA and free cash flow by 2025.
For the long term, the analyst forecasts a 10-year revenue compound annual growth rate of 20% and EBITDA margins of 20%.
TruGolf ended the third quarter of 2024 with $7.5 million in cash. The analyst suggests that its capital is sufficient to support existing operations for at least 12 months.
However, TruGolf may explore strategic growth capital opportunities to accelerate its franchise expansion, Aarde notes.
Price Action: TRUG shares are trading higher by 19.7% to $0.4423 at last check Thursday.

What Happened: The <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/social-media/24/12/42566558/house-republicans-reject-spending-bill-under-pressure-from-trump-musk-government-faces-shutdown">influence Musk has</a> on President-elect Donald Trump and members of Congress may have been on full display Wednesday with his criticism of a spending bill playing a role in House Republicans rejecting the bill.
The spending bill would have extended federal funding until March and averted a government shutdown. Without the passing of a new spending bill, the government faces a deadline of Saturday, Dec. 21 at 12:01 a.m. ET to avoid a government shutdown, which<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/23/09/35009244/ground-control-to-congress-commencing-countdown-engines-off-how-government-shutdown-could-impact-air"> could impact travel</a> during the Christmas week.
Members of Congress and Musk are now questioning the leadership of current Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-La.), who took on the role in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/23/10/35094897/can-donald-trump-become-speaker-of-the-house-a-lot-of-people-have-asked-me-about-it">a long process </a>back in October that saw multiple voting rounds to replace ousted Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) floated the idea of selecting Musk to be the next Speaker of the House, a vote that will take place for the new Congress in January.
"The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress … Nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk … think about it … nothing's impossible," Paul <a href="https://x.com/RandPaul/status/1869723449377030385">tweeted</a>.
Paul added there would be "joy" seeing the "collective establishment," which he called the "uniparty," "lose their ever-lovin' minds."
Musk is currently eligible to be the Speaker of the House, with the requirement being that it is a U.S. citizen. The billionaire is not eligible to run for president of the U.S. as he does not meet the natural-born citizen requirement, having been born in South Africa.
The U.S. Constitution laid out plans for a Speaker of the House under Article 1, Section 2.
What the Constitution didn't lay out were any requirements for the position. Unlike the roles of a senator and the U.S. President which have age requirements and other rules to follow, a Speaker of the House can be anyone.
Some historians argue that the founding fathers assumed the House would select a member from within and didn't need to spell out the exact details.
A look at history shows that every Speaker of the House has been an elected official and member of the House of Representatives. Every Speaker of the House has also belonged to the majority party, which is not a requirement.
Members of Congress and the Speaker are also allowed to own stocks, which would mean Musk would be able to keep his stake in Tesla if he was elected to the role.

Why It's Important: McCarthy became the first Speaker of the House to ever be voted from the leadership position in October. A <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/23/10/35092315/who-will-be-the-next-speaker-of-the-house-heres-the-betting-odds-for-scalise-boebert-gaetz-taylor-gr">long voting process</a> followed and saw several names floated. During that process some suggested the name of Trump, who was not the current president or a member of Congress.
Trump received at least one vote during the January 2023 Speaker of the House vote, which faced 15 ballot rounds to secure McCarthy's role.
Johnson was the favorite to continue his Speaker of the House role in January with odds of over 90% on prediction market site <a href="https://polymarket.com/event/speaker-of-the-house-for-the-119th-congress">Polymarket </a>until Wednesday. The criticism of the spending bill has put Johnson's re-election chances in jeopardy.

The Polymarket prediction market for Speaker has over $16 million in wagers and the winning person will cash out at $1 per contract. On Polymarket, users can deposit funds using USDC (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/">USDC</a>) via the Polygon (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/matic/usd">MATIC</a>) network or can deposit directly from a crypto account with Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>).
On prediction market Kalshi, Johnson also <a href="https://kalshi.com/markets/kxspeaker/speaker-of-the-house">saw </a>his odds fall and they sit at 59%. Jordan is the second favorite at 19% followed by Scalise at 11% and Emmer at 9%. Musk is also listed at 2% on Kalshi.
Trump recently <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-says-mike-johnson-easily-remain-speaker-he-acts-decisively-tough-spending-bill?intcmp=tw_fnc">told </a>Fox News that Johnson will "easily remain speaker" if he is tough on the spending bill.
"Anybody that supports a bill that doesn't take care of the Democrat quicksand known as the debt ceiling should be primaried and disposed of as quickly as possible," Trump told Fox News.

What To Know: The <a href="https://www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-safety-and-availability/fda-clarifies-policies-compounders-national-glp-1-supply-begins-stabilize">FDA announced today</a> that the shortage of tirzepatide injections, a GLP-1 medication, has been resolved. The shortage began in 2022 due to high demand and has ended as manufacturing capacity and product availability are sufficient to meet national demand. However, the FDA warned of potential localized supply chain disruptions as products are distributed to pharmacies.
To avoid interruptions in treatment, the FDA is allowing compounders using tirzepatide to continue their activities temporarily. State-licensed pharmacies have until February 18, 2025, and outsourcing facilities until March 19, 2025, to comply with this grace period.
Meanwhile, other GLP-1 drugs, including dulaglutide, semaglutide and liraglutide, remain in shortage. Despite some reports of product availability, the FDA has not yet resolved these shortages and is actively monitoring the situation.
This announcement follows the FDA&#8217;s October 2024 decision that determined that the tirzepatide shortage was over. However, this was reevaluated after legal challenges. This updated decision confirms that the shortage is resolved.
The news may influence investor sentiment, given the role of GLP-1 drugs in weight loss and diabetes treatment. Ongoing shortages of similar medications and regulatory updates could continue to affect market perspectives.
