A study from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts reveals that money issues are a contributing factor behind at least 22% of divorces. Other sources say that anywhere between 20% and 40% of divorces stem from financial problems.&nbsp;
Orman shares that in her book "The Courage to Be Rich," a chapter called Love and Money highlights all the questions couples should ask one another before getting married. "So, before you get married, what do you do financially?" she asks. "You become as financially intimate with each other, you know, the person&#8217;s finance habits."&nbsp;
She suggests that couples should ask questions and discover everything they can about their partners&#8217; spending habits – like, are they a big tipper even if they don't have money? What are their <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/credit-score-ranges">credit scores</a>? Do they save money well?&nbsp;
"You have to make sure that when you do get married, you pay all the bills together, and you make all the investment decisions together," Orman says. She also states that <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/24/03/37879066/kevin-oleary-warns-couples-maintain-your-own-financial-identity-but-indiana-university-study-say">couples should have three bank accounts</a>: one for each person as well as a combined account.&nbsp;

On financial intimacy, Orman points out that the family also plays a role, expressing that it's important to know what your expectations will be if you have a large family. "Are you expected to buy gifts and do all these things for all the family members on holidays and things like that? Regardless of your money, you have to know everything about them financially, intimately speaking."
Beyond financial intimacy, the second critical tip from Orman for financial success in marriage is to stay out of debt. "If all of a sudden you find that one of you is carrying a balance on your credit cards and only paying the minimum payment due, they have started going down the path of financial debt, credit card debt, which really can be the ruination of a relationship."&nbsp;
 Orman also states that couples shouldn't make large purchases without consulting their partner.
KT, Orman's co-host on the podcast, adds, "Financial intimacy is more difficult than personal intimacy. We both learned that from years and years of listening to what husbands, wives, partners, and spouses don&#8217;t know about each other."&nbsp;

Nintendo ADR (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NTDOY#OTC">NTDOY</a>) has announced the acquisition of Shiver Entertainment, the team responsible for the Nintendo Switch ports of popular games like &#8220;Hogwarts Legacy&#8221; and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/gaming/23/12/36246224/mortal-kombat-1-set-for-cross-play-launch-in-early-2024">&#8220;Mortal Kombat 1.&#8221;</a>



<a href="https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2024/240521e.pdf">According</a> to a press release, Nintendo has agreed with Embracer Group Unsponsored ADR (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EBCRY#OTC">EBCRY</a>) to buy 100% of Shiver's shares, turning the Miami-based company into a wholly owned subsidiary.

Nintendo noted: &#8220;By welcoming Shiver's experienced and accomplished development team, Nintendo aims to secure high-level resources for porting and developing software titles.&#8221; 



Even after joining Nintendo, Shiver will continue focusing on porting and developing software for multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.



This move comes shortly after Nintendo announced plans to reveal its Switch successor within this fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2025. While today&#8217;s announcement doesn&#8217;t mention the new console, it hints at Nintendo&#8217;s preparations for its future lineup.



Shiver is known for porting games like &#8220;Hogwarts Legacy,&#8221; &#8220;Mortal Kombat 11,&#8221; and &#8220;Mortal Kombat 1,&#8221; along with developing &#8220;Scribblenauts Showdown.&#8221; Although ports like &#8220;Hogwarts Legacy&#8221; and &#8220;Mortal Kombat 11&#8221; were well-received, the &#8220;Mortal Kombat 1&#8221; port faced considerable criticism.



Financial terms of the deal weren&#8217;t shared, but Nintendo stated that the acquisition &#8220;will have only a minor effect on Nintendo's results for this fiscal year.&#8221;

Lara Croft, the iconic heroine of the Embracer Group ADR (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EBCRY#OTC">EBCRY</a>) Tomb Raider series, has been hailed as the most legendary character in gaming by the BAFTA Gaming Awards, edging out beloved icons like <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/gaming">Mario and Sonic. </a>



In a recent <a href="https://www.bafta.org/games/most-iconic-game-character-of-all-time">poll</a> by BAFTA, where over 4,000 votes were cast, Croft emerged as the clear favorite.

Since her debut in 1996&#8217;s Tomb Raider for the Sega Saturn, Croft captivated audiences across various mediums, from video games to film adaptations and even live immersive experiences in London.



In the rankings, Nintendo ADR&#8216;s (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NTDOY#OTC">NTDOY</a>) Mario ranked second, Hitman&#8217;s Agent 47 in third, Sega Sammy Holdings Inc &#8211; ADR&#8216;s (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SGAMY#OTC">SGAMY</a>) Sonic the Hedgehog secured fourth place, followed by LittleBigPlanet&#8217;s Sackboy in fifth, and Pac-Man in sixth. 



Link from The Legend of Zelda claimed the seventh spot, while Master Chief and Kratos battled it out for eighth and ninth place, respectively. 



A surprise contender, Baldur&#8217;s Gate 3&#8217;s Shadowheart, clinched the 10th spot despite the game&#8217;s recent release.



The remaining entries on the list include some expected names, such as Sony Group Corp.&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SONY#NYSE">SONY</a>) The Last of Us&#8217; Ellie and Crash Bandicoot, alongside others that raised eyebrows. 



However, one thing remains clear: Lara Croft&#8217;s top position is universally acknowledged as well-deserved.

Embracer Group Unsponsored ADR (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EBCRY#OTC">EBCRY</a>)&nbsp;announced the divestment this week of Gearbox Entertainment to Take-Two Interactive Software Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TTWO#NASDAQ">TTWO</a>) for $460 million in a deal expected to be <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/gaming">finalized by the end of June.</a>

This deal includes Gearbox Software, Gearbox Montreal, Gearbox Studio Quebec&nbsp;and several franchises like Borderlands and Duke Nukem. According to the press release, Embracer will retain some assets such as Gearbox Publishing San Francisco, Cryptic Studios, Lost Boys Interactive&nbsp;and Captured Dimensions, integrating them elsewhere within the company.

Under Take-Two&#39;s 2K division, Gearbox will continue to operate under CEO Randy Pitchford. The studio is developing new installments for Borderlands and Homeworld, along with an undisclosed intellectual property.

Interestingly, the acquisition will be settled in Take-Two shares rather than cash. Embracer originally bought Gearbox for $363 million, with additional payments contingent on hitting specific targets.

Gearbox&#39;s partnership with Take-Two extends back years, notably with the Borderlands franchise. The two companies collaborated on projects like the Borderlands film and the game Battleborn.

Embracer Group&#39;s divestment of Gearbox follows a series of strategic shifts, including the recent sale of Saber Interactive. The company has undergone significant restructuring, marked by closures like Saints Row developer Volition and the cancellation of an unannounced Deus Ex game.

These moves come after Embracer&#39;s extensive acquisition streak faced setbacks in the previous year, including layoffs affecting over 900 employees, with further restructuring anticipated.
