Analyst Notes: Popular blockchain analytics firm CryptoQuant stated that Bitcoin was yet to reach a cycle top, according to analysis of the Market Value to Realized Value indicator.
"MVRV metric reached the value of 3 at the market tops in the past two cycles, whereas it currently stands at 2.14… it can be said that Bitcoin is preparing to move towards the top price of this cycle," CryptoQuant added.

Michaël van de Poppe, another widely followed cryptocurrency analyst, noted that the altcoin season was yet to begin, citing the Altcoin Season Index.

This makes Berkshire one of Occidental's largest shareholders. According to the Energy Information Administration, despite U.S. crude oil production hitting an all-time high of 13.46 million barrels per day in October, Occidental's stock has been battered, down 24% this year.
Analysts have noted that such investments reflect confidence in the energy sector&#8217;s recovery. For instance, Ben Cook from Hennessy Energy Transition Investor suggests that supportive commodity prices and solid earnings in well-positioned companies indicate growth potential in the energy sector.&nbsp;
Sirius XM was next on the list. Berkshire added $113 million to its holdings, owning around 35% of the satellite radio and streaming company. Sirius XM has had its struggles, with subscriber numbers falling and fierce competition from digital streaming giants like Spotify.&nbsp;

Several Amazon locations have delayed the return to office due to lack of space and workers in some European countries appear to have more flexible working arrangements than<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41394784/amazon-aws-ceo-stands-firm-on-5-day-office-policy-opponents-can-head-for-the-exit-door-there-are-oth"> their U.S. counterparts. </a>
Lack Of Space: Amazon's mandatory five-day in-office policy announced last September went into effect this Monday. According to a Business Insider <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-list-shows-locations-where-full-rto-plan-delayed-2025-1">report</a>, some office locations have maintained the company&#8217;s previous policy, which requires only three days a week in the office due to a lack of space.&nbsp;

According to documents viewed by Business Insider, some of the locations maintaining the three-day in-office policy include Miami, Brooklyn, Sacramento, Santa Clara and Austin in the U.S.; Hamburg and Munich in Germany, Beijing and Shenzhen in China and Bangalore, India. 
An Amazon spokesperson reportedly told Business Insider on Tuesday that buildings were ready for a majority of its employees on that day.
EU Exceptions: A separate Business Insider <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-return-to-office-flexible-work-europe-us-rto-2025-1">report</a> stated internal documents revealed Amazon workers in the U.K. can apply to work from home for up to two days a week due to the country's flexible working regulations that went into effect last year.  
The outlet also reported employees in the Netherlands can still follow Amazon's previous guidance for three days in the office while it enters discussions with its works council, a group representing the employees. 
The policies in the U.K. and Netherlands contrast the five-day in-office policies in place for other Amazon employees. The company's "Flexible Work Arrangement&#8221; policy for the U.S. says Amazon &#8220;may grant exceptions for work arrangements&#8221; to staff &#8220;who are in good standing on a case-by-case basis.&#8221;
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has promoted the in-office work policy as a way for employees to&nbsp; "invent, collaborate and be connected" and has suggested that those who oppose it may consider other employment options.

Murphy Oil Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MUR#NYSE">MUR</a>) shares reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 81 cents. That&#8217;s higher than the 79 cents it reported a year ago, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/08/b40245383/murphy-oil-corporation-announces-second-quarter-2024-financial-and-operational-results-revises-cap" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">beating the consensus of 74 cents</a>.



Revenues of&nbsp;$802.77 million&nbsp;beat <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">the consensus&nbsp;of&nbsp;$813.46 million</a>. Production averaged 181 MBOEPD, comprising oil volumes of 91 MBOPD in the quarter.&nbsp;&nbsp;



The Houston, Texas-based company boasts a record gross production rate of 496 million cubic feet per day at Tupper Montney.



Onshore production surpassed guidance by 5.4 MBOEPD. It compensated for 2.4 MBOEPD of unplanned downtime in the Gulf of Mexico and 2.4 MBOEPD of extra downtime at Terra Nova.



Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortization, and exploration expenses (EBITDAX) stood at&nbsp;$438.3 million, down from&nbsp;$484.5 million&nbsp;a year ago.&nbsp;



Accrued capital expenditures for the second quarter stood at $292 million, excluding NCI. As of June 30, Murphy had about $1.1 billion in liquidity, including $334 million in cash and cash equivalents and no borrowings on its $800 million senior unsecured credit facility.



Dividend: The company disclosed a quarterly cash dividend of 30 cents per share, payable on Sept. 3, 2024, to stockholders<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/08/b40222171/murphy-oil-corporation-announces-quarterly-dividend" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> of record as of Aug. 19, 2024</a>.



Buyback: In Q2, Murphy repurchased $56 million of stock (1.4 million shares). It also repurchased an additional $44 million of stock (1.1 million shares).



The board of directors also raised the share repurchase authorization by $500 million. As of Aug. 7, the company has $800 million left under its share repurchase authorization.



Q3 FY24 Outlook: Murphy expects net production of 181.5 to 189.5 MBOEPD, with 91.5 MBOPD of oil volumes.



<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">FY24&nbsp;Outlook</a>: Murphy maintains a total net production of 180 to 188 MBOEPD and capital expenditure of&nbsp;$920 million&nbsp;to&nbsp;$1.02 billion.



Murphy Oil CEO Roger W. Jenkins said the company &#8220;generated ample cash flow&#8221; to fund its operations and repurchase more than $50 million of stock and $50 million of long-term debt.



"Further, I am excited to announce today that we are moving into Murphy 3.0 of our capital allocation framework so that we may increase our shareholder returns primarily through share repurchases, while remaining focused on achieving our $1.0 billion total long-term debt goal."
