"Even at its reduced price, Jordan's home sold for more than the multimillion-dollar homes near Lake Michigan, which rarely sell for more than $5 million," Reddit user wjbc posted on the platform. "As the real estate people say, ‘The top three keys to success in real estate are location, location, location.' If your home is much more expensive than the other homes in the neighborhood, it's usually going to be hard to sell, even if you are Michael Jordan."
Listing agent Katherine Malkin of Compass told The Wall Street Journal that Jordan purchased the property in 1991 and invested about $50 million to build the home.

How does Adsgram tailor advertising specifically for Telegram mini apps compared to traditional ad platforms?
The way that mini-apps bridge Web2 and Web3 is a fascinating aspect of the platform. This position at the intersection of these two worlds opens up exciting opportunities to implement strategies that bridge these two ecosystems. Initially, users were primarily drawn to ads for the rewards they offered in terms of user acquisition. What sets Adsgram apart is its ability to tap into Telegram's vast audience, which is now close to exceeding one billion users.
How did you identify the need for a dedicated advertising platform within the Telegram mini apps ecosystem?
In 2024, several applications experienced rapid growth, including Notcoin, Hamster Kombat, and Blum. However, all of them relied on inefficient, manual ad sales. This sparked our interest in automating ad sales and building an open, transparent advertising marketplace for Telegram mini-apps. To bring this vision to life, we collaborated with TON Foundation, who believed in our idea and supported the development of Adsgram.
What new features or enhancements can we expect from Adsgram as the mini app space continues to grow? We recently introduced additional targeting options for VPN and wallet users. &#8220;You only went in there to spend maybe $50…and before you know it, you walk out with, typically, by the way, around $600 or $700 worth of items,&#8221; Orman explains. She adds that people think they are saving with the discounts that retailers offer around this time but in reality, most people spend way more and even go into debt.
Using hypothetical scenarios, Orman outlines how small credit card purchases can snowball into significant debt. For instance, charging $1,000 for holiday gifts on a credit card with a 28% interest rate can take over nine years to pay off if only minimum payments are made. The total cost? Nearly $3,000 when factoring in interest.
According to Orman, the average American carries $6,329 in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/11/42013422/credit-card-balances-rise-as-delinquencies-falls-the-latest">credit card debt</a>, with an average interest rate of 23.37%. At these rates, paying only the minimum due can take more than 21 years to clear the balance, costing thousands of dollars in interest.

A MarketWatch survey found that 67% of Americans use credit cards for holiday gifts. About 12% of those surveyed said they are still paying off their balances from last year's shopping.&nbsp;

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman in his &#8220;Power On&#8221; newsletter, the innovative device may be released by the end of 2025 "at the soonest."
The smart lock system would function similarly to an iPhone, unlocking doors when a registered user or resident is recognized by the camera. Apple plans to integrate its Secure Enclave chip, which securely stores and processes Face ID data separately from other hardware, ensuring high security.

After six months of traditional retirement, he sought something to keep himself busy while avoiding dipping too heavily into his savings. Like many retirees, Dan has wrestled with the financial and emotional challenges of leaving the workforce. According to Nationwide&#8217;s Protected Retirement Survey, 82% of Americans over 45 <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/education/24/12/42499922/americans-regret-retirement-prep-as-advisors-rethink-2025-strategies">regret not taking retirement planning seriously earlier</a>. While he's glad his TaskRabbit income supplements his savings, he's also aware that better planning might have eased some of the pressure.
Dan's advice for retirees? Find something you love to do and stay adaptable. Whether it's assembling furniture, volunteering or pursuing hobbies, the key is maintaining a sense of purpose and structure.
Dan plans to keep working on TaskRabbit as long as his body allows. His earnings have funded trips with his wife, including visits to their favorite destination, Maui. He's also exploring other potential adventures as he stays active in his later years.

TaskRabbit At 79? A Retired Mortgage Manager Assembles Furniture For $47 An Hour, Pulling In $3,000 To $5,000 A Month

Crypto analyst Anthony Pompliano, founder of Pomp Investments, remains optimistic about Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) despite its recent drop below the $100,000 milestone. 
What Happened: In a recent interview with FOX 5, Pompliano predicted that "2025 will continue to be a great year for Bitcoin."
Pompliano outlined two key factors driving Bitcoin's future growth. "One, you're going to continue to get printing of money both in the United States and globally. And then two is you have a Federal Reserve that is cutting interest rates," he said. 
During the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjqw8hGkDL8">interview</a>, he shared that the increasing M2 money supply and cheaper capital from lower interest rates are likely to fuel market gains. 
Pompliano also discussed why Bitcoin's growth and market cap expansion have made it more attractive to institutional investors.

"When Bitcoin was at $1,000, large capital pools viewed it as too small and risky," he explained. However, Bitcoin's rise to a $2 trillion market cap has changed perceptions. "Now all of a sudden everyone's like, ‘Wait a second, I can put money in it. It's derisked.'"
He noted that as Bitcoin's price climbs, more institutional capital is likely to flow into the asset. "As large pools of capital come in to buy a finite-supply asset, price should continue to go up," Pompliano said, emphasizing Bitcoin's limited supply as a key driver of its long-term value.
Despite its recent volatility, Pompliano's outlook underscores the growing institutional acceptance of Bitcoin and its potential to achieve greater heights as a premier digital asset.

Fisker (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/fsrn-stock-quote/">FSRN</a>) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware. It plans to <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2024/06/18/ev-startup-fisker-files-for-bankruptcy-aims-to-sell-assets.html">sell its assets and restructure its debt</a>. 



The electric vehicle (EV) company made a luxury EV for a market that was quickly moving on to lower-priced merchandise.



Fisker stock was selling early on June 18 at 2.6 cents per share, the market capitalization below $22 million. That&rsquo;s factoring in a 42% drop in pre-market trading.



<h2>End of the Road?</h2>



Fisker is the second failed car start-up for founder <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henrik_Fisker">Henrik Fisker</a>, a Danish engineer known for designing luxury cars. His first effort, Fisker Motors, went under <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/24/business/fisker-broke-down-on-the-road-to-electric-cars.html">in 2013</a>. It got a $509 million federal loan in 2009 to make the Karma, a hybrid sports sedan.



The latest Fisker completed a merger with special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Spartan Energy in 2020, <a href="https://investorplace.com/2020/11/does-a-billion-in-spaq-cash-make-fsr-stock-any-less-speculative/">raising $1 billion</a>. The cash was meant for the Ocean, an electric SUV. &nbsp;<a href="https://investorplace.com/2020/12/stay-away-from-tesla-copying-fisker-stock/">I compared it to Tucker, a fictional car company</a> that became a movie starring Jeff Bridges.



By 2021, I wrote Fisker stock was pure speculation, urging investors <a href="https://investorplace.com/2021/04/fisker-stock-at-this-point-is-real-speculation-not-just-paper/">not to put anything into it</a> they couldn&rsquo;t afford to lose. At the time, Fisker stock was trading at $14 per share and had a market cap of $4.29 billion.



Ocean production <a href="https://investorplace.com/2022/11/fisker-fsr-stock-pops-on-launch-of-ocean-suv-production/">began in 2022</a> through Magna International (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/mga-stock-quote/">MGA</a>), a contract manufacturer. At the time, Fisker claimed it had a lower-cost model called <a href="https://investors.fiskerinc.com/news/news-details/2022/Fisker-and-Foxconn-Confirm-Fisker-PEAR-Production-in-Ohio/default.aspx">the Pear</a> that would be made by Foxconn (OTMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/hnhpf-stock-quote/">HNHPF</a>) in Ohio starting in 2024.



In late 2023, Henrik Fisker called reports of problems <a href="https://investorplace.com/2023/12/ceo-henrik-fisker-addresses-fsr-stock-declines/">&ldquo;overblown.&rdquo;</a> The company set plans to sell its remaining 2023 inventory <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/01/fsr-stock-alert-fisker-plans-to-deliver-unsold-2023-vehicles-asap/">in January</a>. It announced a dealership strategy to move the cars <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/02/fsr-stock-alert-fisker-is-expanding-its-dealership-strategy/">in February</a>.



<h2>Fisker Stock: What Happens Next?</h2>



This seems to be the end of the road for Fisker. Competing in the car business takes enormous amounts of capital. The game has moved to low-cost vehicles produced in mass quantities.

Silk Road Medical (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/silk-stock-quote/">SILK</a>) stock is on the rise Tuesday after the medical device company <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/silk-road-medical-announces-definitive-110000096.html">announced an acquisition deal</a> with Boston Scientific (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/bsx-stock-quote/">BSX</a>).



This deal has Boston Scientific agreeing to acquire shares of SILK stock for $27.50 each in cash. That&rsquo;s a 26.9% premium over the stock&rsquo;s previous closing price. It&rsquo;s also a 38% premium to the shares&rsquo; volume-weighted average share price over the last 60 days.



The acquisition offer from Boston Scientific also has a total value of $1.26 billion. It also has unanimous approval from the Silk Road Medical board of directors. For the record, the company&rsquo;s market capitalization is $1.062 billion.



Now the deal just needs approval from SILK shareholders regulators. If that goes well, the two companies expect the acquisition to close in the second half of 2024.



<h2>How This Affects SILK Stock Today</h2>



News of the acquisition brings with it heavy trading of SILK shares on Tuesday. This has more than 5.2 million shares changing hands as of this writing. That&rsquo;s well above its daily average trading volume of about 579,000 shares.



SILK stock is up 24.1% as of Tuesday morning! The stock is also up 120.7% since the start of the year.

The Chegg&nbsp;layoffs will have the company cutting 23% of its global workforce. that comes to 441&nbsp;of its employees. It anticipates that this will result in annual savings between $40 million to $50 million by 2025.



As part of these layoffs, Chegg will be closing down two of its offices in the U.S. The company also expects to suffer charges of $10 million to $14 million connected to the closings and job cuts. It expects most of these charges to occur in the fourth quarter of 2024.



Chegg Chief Financial Officer David Longo said this about the layoffs.




&ldquo;This action today delivers on our promise to better align our expense base with our current revenue trends. For 2025, we remain committed to our goal of 30%+ Adjusted EBITDA margin, and we believe we can deliver at least $100 million in Free Cash Flow. We are also reiterating our previous second-quarter guidance that we provided on April 29, 2024.&rdquo;

Fisker notes that it is seeking discussions with financial stakeholders concerning debtor-in-possession financing as a result of its bankruptcy filing. The company is also considering the sale of its assets.



On top of this, Fisker says its manufacturing halt will remain in place throughout the bankruptcy. The company is also seeking permission to continue its reduced operations. That includes ongoing pay and benefits for employees, as well as maintaining customer programs and paying vendors.



A Fisker spokesperson said the following in the bankruptcy news release.




&ldquo;Like other companies in the electric vehicle industry, we have faced various market and macroeconomic headwinds that have impacted our ability to operate efficiently. After evaluating all options for our business, we determined that proceeding with a sale of our assets under Chapter 11 is the most viable path forward for the company.&rdquo;

While Fisker has brought in Huron Consulting Group as its restructuring advisor, the fate of the company remains unclear. It has struggled since the launch of its first EV last year. After months of bad news and declining share prices, Fisker (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/fsrn-stock-quote/">FSRN</a>) may finally be approaching the end of the line. The electric vehicle (EV) producer recently <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/06/fisker-stock-alert-fisker-files-for-ch-11-bankruptcy/">filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy</a>, as reported in a company <a href="https://assets.ctfassets.net/cghen8gr8e1n/6W19OiEBJDVIFVEmo4feHA/df902c5cb2b067251a300efb0b35f611/Fisker-Filing-FINAL.pdf">filing</a> yesterday. Now, Fisker stock is falling fast on the news, currently down more than 50% for the day. These declines are likely to continue as the struggling company accelerates its race to the bottom.



After months of <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/05/fisker-stock-magna-says-production-of-ocean-suvs-is-idle/">production setbacks</a> and significant <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/06/fisker-stock-alert-ev-startup-defaults-on-3-5-million-loan/">financial problems</a>, among many other things, this news likely surprises no one. Back in May, InvestorPlace contributor Alex Sirois <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/05/bankruptcy-blunders-3-stocks-to-dump-before-they-go-bust/">described</a> Fisker as &ldquo;of the most disappointing&nbsp;<a href="https://investorplace.com/industries/consumer-discretionary/automotive/electric-vehicles/">EV stocks</a>&nbsp;of the last few years.&rdquo;



Now that Fisker has officially opted for Chapter 11, investors are more aware than ever that the troubled automaker is careening toward a cliff. But what else should investor know about firm?



Let&rsquo;s take a look at just how bad things really are for Fisker.



<h2>Fisker Stock: What to Know</h2>



<ul><li>This bankruptcy filing follows news that Fisker has halted production on its Ocean SUV, its only current model.</li>



<li>Fisker&rsquo;s statement highlights that it is in &ldquo;advanced discussions with financial stakeholders regarding debtor-in-possession financing.&rdquo;</li>



<li>The company has also revealed that it is considering selling off its assets.</li>



<li>This isn&rsquo;t the first time a company called Fisker has filed for bankruptcy. CEO Henrik Fisker&rsquo;s previous endeavor, Fisker Automotive, <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2013-11-22/fisker-files-for-bankruptcy-with-plan-to-sell-assets?sref=0N1JmzAH">opted for Chapter 11</a> in November 2013.</li>



<li>As InvestorPlace contributor William White reports, Fisker has <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/06/why-is-fisker-fsrn-stock-down-55-today/">confirmed</a> that &ldquo;its manufacturing halt will remain in place throughout the bankruptcy.&rdquo;</li>

Following the disastrous launch of its Ocean SUV, which resulted in a multitude of customer complaints, Fisker (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/fsrn-stock-quote/">FSRN</a>) has filed for <a href="https://assets.ctfassets.net/cghen8gr8e1n/6W19OiEBJDVIFVEmo4feHA/df902c5cb2b067251a300efb0b35f611/Fisker-Filing-FINAL.pdf">Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection</a>. The news shouldn&rsquo;t come as a major surprise, as Fisker was removed from the New York Stock Exchange earlier this year before <a href="https://d18rn0p25nwr6d.cloudfront.net/CIK-0001720990/28e28bf6-af02-49b7-8dfc-8cca40c768fd.pdf">defaulting</a> on its debt.



&ldquo;But like other companies in the electric vehicle industry, we have faced various market and macroeconomic headwinds that have impacted our ability to continue operating efficiently,&rdquo; said a Fisker spokesperson. Now, the company is holding advanced discussions with its stakeholders concerning possession financing.



However, Lucid (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/lcid-stock-quote/">LCID</a>) seems to be taking advantage of Fisker&rsquo;s woes and the name of its flagship vehicle. According to Electrek, the pure-play EV company submitted a <a href="https://electrek.co/2024/06/19/lucid-ocean-fisker-bankrupt-ev-automaker-trademark-filing/">trademark filing</a> to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the &ldquo;Lucid Ocean&rdquo; vehicle name.



<h2>LCID Stock: Lucid Motors Files for Ocean Trademark</h2>



Lucid has positioned its vehicle names with nature themes, such as its Air and upcoming Gravity SUV. At the same time, Lucid filing an Ocean trademark submission doesn&rsquo;t guarantee that a future vehicle will carry that name. 



Its past submissions include &ldquo;Air 1&rdquo; and &ldquo;Palos,&rdquo; while Lucid currently doesn&rsquo;t sell any vehicles with these names. Active submissions from the company include &ldquo;Earth,&rdquo; &ldquo;Earth Dream Edition,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Air Cross.&rdquo;



&ldquo;While the application awaits examination, it&rsquo;s important to point out that this filing could just be Lucid covering all of its bases on the potential nomenclature of new models,&rdquo; wrote Electrek. &ldquo;There&rsquo;s a very strong chance we will never see a BEV from Lucid called the Ocean.&rdquo;



So, while the Ocean name certainly fits with Lucid&rsquo;s narrative, it&rsquo;s likely that the company is just snatching up potential names before it makes a final decision. 



As of now, the company has plans for a new mid-size SUV launch in 2026 in the $50,000 range. Production of the vehicle, which doesn&rsquo;t have a publicized name yet, is planned for late 2026. Furthermore, the vehicle will be built at Lucid&rsquo;s AMP-2 factory in Saudi Arabia.

LCID Stock Alert: Lucid Motors Files for Ocean Trademark

Last week, Fisker&rsquo;s (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/fsrn-stock-quote/">FSRN</a>) operating subsidiary, Fisker Group, announced that it had filed for <a href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20240617048760/en/Fisker-Group-Inc.-Files-for-Chapter-11">Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection</a>, sending FSRN stock plummeting lower.



The announcement wasn&rsquo;t all too surprising, as it followed a going concern warning, a delisting from the New York Stock Exchange and the botched debut of the Ocean electric vehicle (EV) laden with software issues and user complaints. The company had also <a href="https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/nissan-fisker-advanced-talks-investment-partnership-sources-2024-03-01/">tried to partner</a> with a legacy automaker rumored to be Nissan (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/nsany-stock-quote/">NSANY</a>), to no avail.



Fisker noted that it was in advanced discussions with its stakeholders involving asset sales and debtor-in-possession financing while its production would remain halted.



Last Friday, Fisker attorney Brian Resnick <a href="https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/fisker-heads-toward-liquidation-creditors-fight-over-assets-2024-06-21/">informed</a> U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Thomas Horan that the company planned on liquidating all of its assets. Fisker has also reached a &ldquo;tentative deal&rdquo; with a single, undisclosed buyer for all of its 4,300 vehicles, according to Reuters.



<h2>Fisker Stock: Fisker Reaches &lsquo;Tentative Deal&rsquo; to Sell 4,300 Vehicles</h2>



As is usual with bankruptcy proceedings, there&rsquo;s also drama between the stakeholders. Fisker owes &ldquo;over $850 million to two groups of bondholders,&rdquo; with attorneys from the larger group accusing Heights Capital Management of unfairly taking control of the company&rsquo;s debt last November.



&ldquo;At the time, Fisker was late in providing audited financial statements due under its debt agreements, and Heights used that &lsquo;minor, technical default&rsquo; to claim all of Fisker&rsquo;s assets as collateral on its bonds, Alex Lees, an attorney for other bondholders, said,&rdquo; wrote Reuters.



Lees believes that Fisker should have filed for bankruptcy in November and will challenge the agreement that provides Heights with payment priority. Meanwhile, Heights Capital attorney Scott Greissman has responded by claiming that Fisker&rsquo;s sale of 4,300 vehicles would only cover a &ldquo;fraction&rdquo; of the firm&rsquo;s $185 million in Fisker debt.



Additionally, Linda Richenderfer, an attorney for the U.S. Trustee Program &mdash; a U.S. Department of Justice bankruptcy watchdog &mdash; believes that Fisker&rsquo;s bankruptcy will convert to Chapter 7 &ldquo;once the vehicle fleet is sold.&rdquo; This is attributed to the amount of power that Heights has over the company. Chapter 7 is considered a liquidation bankruptcy while Chapter 11 is considered a reorganization bankruptcy.
