The former governor also shared a <a href="https://www.ft.com/content/3710bf14-010e-412d-83c7-b07773d6a45f">report</a> by the Financial Times which noted that President-elect Donald Trump&#8217;s administration is planning to reinstate its &#8220;maximum pressure&#8221; policy on Iran, aiming to cripple the nation&#8217;s ability to fund regional proxies and develop nuclear weapons.
Trump&#8217;s foreign policy team is gearing up to increase sanctions on Tehran, including vital oil exports, as soon as Trump takes office in January. &#8220;He&#8217;s determined to reinstitute a maximum pressure strategy to bankrupt Iran as soon as possible,&#8221; a national security expert familiar with the Trump transition revealed.
The strategy comes amidst Middle East turmoil following Hamas&#8217;s October 7, 2023 attack, which ignited regional hostilities and brought Israel&#8217;s shadow war with Iran into the open. Trump&#8217;s team believes the maximum pressure tactic could force Iran into negotiations with the US, although experts consider this a long shot.
During his first term, Trump implemented a &#8220;maximum pressure&#8221; campaign after abandoning the 2015 nuclear deal Iran signed with world powers, imposing hundreds of sanctions on the Islamic republic. In response, Tehran increased its nuclear activity, enriching uranium close to weapons-grade level.

Trump&#8217;s transition team is preparing executive orders to target Tehran, including tightening and adding new sanctions on Iranian oil exports. &#8220;If they really go whole hog . . . they could knock Iran's oil exports back to a few hundred thousand barrels per day,&#8221; said Bob McNally, president of consultancy Rapidan Energy.

&#8220;I was a user of sanctions, but I put them on and take them off as quickly as possible, because ultimately it kills your dollar, and it kills everything the dollar represents,&#8221; said Trump in September, according to Reuters.

Billionaire investor Mark Cuban has pledged $1 million to BucketGolf, a firm that sells portable golf courses, despite his well-known distaste for the sport. The offer was made during an episode of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;Shark Tank.&#8221;
What Happened: BucketGolf, a San Francisco-based company run by siblings Tyler and Jenny Simmons, was seeking $1 million for a 10% equity stake. 
The company, which sells a game that mimics golf using foldable buckets as holes, was projected to generate over $12 million in sales in 2024.
According <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2024/10/29/mark-cuban-hates-golf-still-offered-bucketgolf-million-dollars-shark-tank.html">to</a> CNBC report, other &#8220;Shark Tank&#8221; panelists, including Kevin O&#8217;Leary and Daymond John, also offered $1 million but for larger equity stakes in BucketGolf. However, Cuban countered with a $1 million offer for 15% of the company, which was less equity than his fellow judges demanded.

Initially, the Simmons siblings requested Cuban for 12.5% equity, but he refused. Despite this, Cuban eventually agreed to their terms after fellow judge Lori Greiner did the same. The siblings accepted Cuban&#8217;s offer, citing his sports background as a key factor in their decision.
As of now, it is not clear whether the deal was finalized after the taping. BucketGolf has not responded to CNBC&#8217;s request for comment.

Fund giant Fidelity recently expanded its lineup of smart beta exchange-traded funds with the addition of two international funds. The Fidelity International High Dividend ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="/stock/FIDI#NYSE">FIDI</a>) and the Fidelity International Value Factor ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="/stock/FIVA#NYSE">FIVA</a>) debuted last week.
Boston-based Fidelity offers two domestic dividend ETFs: the Fidelity High Dividend ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="/stock/FDVV#NYSE">FDVV</a>) and the Fidelity Dividend ETF for Rising Rates (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="/stock/FDRR#NYSE">FDRR</a>). The firm also features a domestic value ETF, the Fidelity Value Factor ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="/stock/FVAL#NYSE">FVAL</a>).
FIDI and FIVA could prove well-timed as investors continue flocking to international ETFs. Several of last year&#39;s top asset-gathering ETFs were ex-US funds and to this point in 2018, six of the top 10 asset-gathering ETFs are international funds.

	A Look At The Dividend ETF</h3>
The Fidelity International High Dividend ETF tracks the Fidelity International High Dividend Index. That benchmark &ldquo;is designed to reflect the performance of large and mid-capitalization developed international high dividend-paying stocks that are expected to continued to pay and grow their dividends,&rdquo; <a href="https://screener.fidelity.com/ftgw/etf/goto/snapshot/snapshot.jhtml?symbols=FIDI">according to Fidelity</a>.
The new ETF holds 96 stocks, about 60 percent of which are European companies. The remainder of FIDI&#39;s portfolio is split between Asia and North America. Twenty countries are represented in FIDI with Japan, the UK and France combining for about 44 percent.
FIDI is top heavy at the sector level as financial services stocks account for over 32 percent of the fund&#39;s weight while consumer discretionary and energy names combine for another 31 percent. FIDI charges 0.39 percent per year, or $39 on a $10,000 investment.

	More On The Value Play</h3>
The Fidelity International Value Factor ETF follows the Fidelity International Value Factor Index. That benchmark &ldquo;is designed to reflect the performance of large and mid-capitalization developed international stocks that have attractive valuations,&rdquo; <a href="https://screener.fidelity.com/ftgw/etf/goto/snapshot/snapshot.jhtml?symbols=FIVA">according to Fidelity</a>.
Over 89 percent of FIVA&#39;s geographic weight is allocated to European and Asian companies. Nineteen countries are represented in the new ETF, which holds nearly 110 stocks. The euro and yen represent almost 53.6 percent of FIVA&#39;s currency exposure.
Japan, the UK and France combine for about half of FIVA&#39;s country weight. The new ETF devotes 23.6 percent to financial services names and a combined 27 percent to industrial and consumer discretionary stocks. FIVA&#39;s top 10 holdings combine for 15.8 percent of the portfolio. The value ETF also charges 0.39 percent per year.
