At LAUNCH Festival 2015, Peter Thiel offered insights into how Elon Musk simultaneously transformed the auto and aerospace industries through Tesla Inc. and SpaceX.
What Happened: In a conversation with Jason Calacanis, Thiel explained that Musk succeeded partly by choosing &#8220;weak competition.&#8221;

Technically, this scenario is confirmed by the MACD indicator. Its signal line is above the zero level and is directed upwards.

Its signal line is above the level of 50 and is directed upwards.

USD/JPY At A Three-Month Peak: No One Opposes The US Dollar

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">A Different Kind Of Market</h3>
Since last week's election, we've been in a euphoric market for crypto and other "Trump trades", i.e., names that are expected to benefit from President-Elect Trump returning to the White House. This market calls for a different kind of trading. Valuation and other fundamental metrics aren't going to help us here.
But Portfolio Armor's <a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://portfolioarmor.com/performance-top-names">Top Ten Names</a> might. That—along with what my understanding of what a "Trump trade" is, is what I'm betting on here.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Bigger And Faster Than We Expected</h3>
Last Monday,&nbsp;<a href="https://portfolioarmor.substack.com/p/trade-alert-ai-da2">we opened</a>&nbsp;a call spread on&nbsp;Tesla, Inc.&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>), which was both one of our system's top ten names, and a "Trump trade", given Elon Musk's alliance with Trump. Our bet was on the stock hitting $350 by next December. This was the &#8220;less-contrarian long term trade&#8221; mentioned below.&nbsp;

Because the Tesla trade was a call spread, it wasn't feasible to take profits on it on Monday. However, I had two 200% exits on straight call trades, but it still felt like leaving money on the table.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Getting More Aggressive On Tuesday</h3>
On Monday night, there were four "Trump trades" in our daily top ten names. On Tuesday, I plan to place bullish bets on all of them. This time, we'll use options expiring this year, so we'll be able to take profits sooner. Given the rapid advance of stocks like Tesla though, you&#8217;re probably wondering if this is a bubble. Let&#8217;s address that. 
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What If This Is A Bubble?</h3>
It most certainly is a bubble, but bubbles are when you can make the most money in short periods of time. The key is to get out before it bursts. If I had to guess how long this bubble would last, I'd say until about the end of the year.
Between now and then, traders are free to imagine all sorts of positive impacts from a Trump 2.0 administration—maybe they'll start a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve? And so on. Once Trump enters the White House in late January, those hopes will meet some resistance and Trump trades may need to be repriced.
So, we are going to try to take profits before the end of the year.

Pro-European President Salome Zurabishvili declared the election results "illegitimate," alleging there was a "Russian special operation" to undermine the vote. <a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.npr.org/2024/10/27/g-s1-30210/georgias-crucial-vote-was-marred-by-intimidation-european-monitors-say">Prime Minister Irakli Kobachidze</a>, who supports closer ties with Moscow, said that "any attempts to talk about election manipulation are doomed to failure."&nbsp;

State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that the US expects "<a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.state.gov/briefings/department-press-briefing-october-28-2024/">further consequences if the Georgian</a> government does not change course."&nbsp;
The European Commission (EC) <a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://neighbourhood-enlargement.ec.europa.eu/news/statement-european-commission-and-high-representative-josep-borrell-parliamentary-elections-georgia-2024-10-27_en">said</a> a "divisive" atmosphere marked the election with "instances of bribery, double voting and physical violence." Antonio-Lopez-Isturiz White, the head of the European Parliament's delegation to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe mission, accused Georgian Dream of promoting "Russian disinformation."&nbsp;
In response, Moscow accused Western nations of trying to "destabilize" Georgia. "The naked eye can also see attempts to interfere, but not by Russia," Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov <a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://civil.ge/archives/632252">said</a>. "A huge number of forces from European countries tried to influence the outcome of this vote."
Ahead of the elections, polls showed more than 80% of the country's population in favor of European integration. In addition, the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 <a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/ukrainealert/russia-emerges-as-the-real-winner-of-georgias-disputed-election/">has raised concern about</a> Moscow's intentions in Georgia, given its history of intervention.&nbsp;
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Europe Wary Of Russian Intentions In Georgia</h3>
Moscow has considered Georgia a key part of its effort to reassert authority across the post-Soviet space. Russia currently endorses the pro-Russian de facto regimes in Abkhazia and South Ossetia after invading Georgia in 2008.

The founder of Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, who has made his fortune in Russia, has warm ties with the Kremlin. <a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://apnews.com/article/georgia-elections-european-union-russia-06103525947fe3a1d372539a74cb573f">Ivanishvili</a> said he would ban opposition parties, holding them "fully accountable under the full force of the law."&nbsp;
Georgian Dream has clashed with the EU before the election. The EU criticized a law <a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.cfr.org/in-brief/what-georgias-foreign-agent-law-means-its-democracy">labeling NGOs as foreign agents</a> if they receive 20% or more of funding from abroad. The government has implemented laws that target the country's <a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.dw.com/en/georgia-ruling-georgian-dream-party-wins-election/a-70611564">LGBTQ+ communities</a>, following a Russian blueprint.
After the Georgian elections, the ruling party snubbed members of the foreign relations committees from the parliaments of France, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Finland and the Baltic states. The opposition party met with the European delegation that traveled on Monday to Tbilisi for talks about the elections.&nbsp;
Kakha Kaladze, secretary general of Georgian Dream and mayor of Tbilisi, <a href="https://www.interpressnews.ge/en/article/134803-kakha-kaladze-they-speak-to-us-in-the-name-of-europe-and-do-everything-to-cause-chaos-in-the-country-their-statements-have-no-value-they-are-idle-people-who-sometimes-go-to-one-country-sometimes-to-another" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">described </a>the visiting EU politicians as "ordinary pests" and accused them of "propagating lies."

For the third quarter, Pfizer reported overall revenue of &nbsp;$17.7 billion.
Moderna continues to focus on developing cancer treatment along with lowering costs.
Back in September, Moderna revealed its plan to cut its research and development budget by $1.1 billion over the next three years while it aims to get FDA approval for 10 products like cancer treatments and vaccines. During the latest earnings call, Moderna CEO St&eacute;phane Bancel was pleased with the cost efficiency achieved during the quarter, with the progress being even better than planned. For the third quarter, Moderna reported revenue of&nbsp;$1.86 billion, smashing LSEG&rsquo;s consensus estimate of $1.25 billion. While Pfizer already counts on oncology for boosting sales, Moderna&rsquo;s sales are still made by the Covid shot, along with RSV one that brought&nbsp;&nbsp;$10 million in U.S. sales after gaining approval in May. However, with 45 products in development powered by its messenger RNA platform, Moderna expects to bring 10 of them to the market over the next three years.

The Oncology Bet Is Already Paying Off For Pfizer

The Federal Bureau Of Investigation, on Wednesday, raided the home of Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan as part of a Justice Department investigation into allegations that the crypto prediction platform allowed U.S.-based users to place bets in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/11/41819799/polymarket-ceo-on-election-night-it-looked-like-a-done-deal-on-platform-but-just-watching-">violation of regulatory agreements. </a>
Coplan responded on social media, expressing dismay over what he characterized as "a last-ditch effort" by the administration to target companies perceived to be associated with political opposition.

Coplan stated Polymarket was non-partisan, and that "It's discouraging that the current administration would seek a last-ditch effort to go after companies they deem to be associated with political opponents." 
He added that Polymarket had contributed value to tens of millions of users this election cycle without causing harm.
The investigation centers on claims that Polymarket allowed American users to engage in trades on its platform, a direct breach of an agreement reached with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in 2022, under which Polymarket was to prevent U.S.-based <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/11/41838037/will-polymarket-return-to-the-us-after-getting-trump-victory-right-ceo-says-its-part-of-the-plan">users from making transactions. </a>
This agreement followed concerns about regulatory compliance, given that U.S. law imposes strict limits on certain types of prediction markets. 
In response, Polymarket implemented regional restrictions to block access for American users, but recent evidence suggests possible gaps in this compliance.

Leading up to the 2024 presidential election, Polymarket experienced a surge in activity, gaining popularity as an alternative to traditional polling with users betting on electoral outcomes. 
The platform positions itself as a more accurate predictor, boasting no betting limits, unlike competing platforms that enforce strict wagering caps. 
This open approach attracted a considerable user base, particularly as the Nov. 5 election approached.
However, just days before the election, a significant transaction by a high-stakes French investor—known colloquially as a &#8220;whale&#8221;—placed massive bets in favor of Donald Trump. 
This move intensified scrutiny on the platform, raising concerns among Polymarket critics who suggested these wagers could sway public opinion.
