GRAYSCALE SOLANA TRUST by Grayscale Solana Trust (SOL)

Grayscale has announced the public trading of its Solana Trust under the ticker symbol GSOL (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/gsol#OTC">GSOL</a>), making it the latest addition to the 15 other cryptocurrency investment products the company offers on OTC Markets.
With 304,427 outstanding shares as of Friday, investors with access to U.S. securities can &quot;buy and sell freely-tradable GSOL shares through their investment accounts,&quot; <a href="https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2023/04/17/2647933/0/en/Grayscale-Solana-Trust-Now-Trading-on-OTC-Markets.html">said</a> Grayscale.
The objective of GSOL is to be linked to Solana (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/sol/usd">SOL</a>) to allow investors to gain exposure to the digital asset without owning them directly.
This strategy is similar to Grayscale&#39;s Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) and Ether (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>) trusts, (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/gbtc#OTC">GBTC</a>)&nbsp;and (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ethe#OTC">ETHE</a>) respectively, where accredited investors with Bitcoin and Ether give crypto to Grayscale in exchange for shares in the trusts, while retail investors can acquire stock through public markets.
GSOL had been open to private placement since November 2021, and its website disclosures reveal that the Solana trust has $2.9 million in SOL.

However, GBTC and ETHE are trading far below the digital assets themselves, upsetting some investors.
GBTC is trading at a 37% discount to Bitcoin held in Grayscale&#39;s trust, after its long-running premium flipped negative in February 2021.
ETHE is trading at a markdown of minus 46%.
The launch of GSOL comes as Grayscale is still in a legal battle with the SEC over the rejection of its Bitcoin spot ETFs. Global Sources Reports Q2 EPS $0.52; Revenue $68.489M; No Est.

Global Sources Ltd. (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/gsol#NASDAQ">GSOL</a>) announced today the preliminary results of its cash tender offer to purchase up to 6,666,666 shares of its issued and outstanding common shares at a price of $7.50 per share. The offer to purchase shares commenced on June 26, 2015 and expired at 12:00 midnight, New York City time, on July 27, 2015. 
As of July 27, 2015, the company's shares closed at $6.61 per share, as compared to $6.81 per share as of June 26, 2015, the date the tender offer commenced. 
Based on the preliminary count by Computershare Trust Company, N.A., the depositary for the tender offer, approximately 12.6 million shares of the company's common shares were properly tendered and not properly withdrawn. The number of shares properly tendered and not properly withdrawn is preliminary and subject to change. Given that the number of shares tendered was greater than the number of shares that the company offered to purchase, it will be necessary to apply the "odd lot" priority and pro-ration provisions described in the company's offer to purchase.
