Former NFL player&nbsp;Rob Gronkowski&nbsp;stated that his most successful investment to date was buying shares of&nbsp;Apple Inc.&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) a decade ago.
What Happened: Gronkowski shared in an <a href="https://fortune.com/2024/11/26/rob-gronkowski-net-worth-apple-stock/">interview</a> with Fortune that his home builder advised him to invest in Apple back in 2014. 
&#8220;The guy actually who built my house in Foxborough, he told me, &#8216;Hey buy Apple stock. I&#8217;m telling you that&#8217;s where it&#8217;s at,&#8221; Gronkowski recalled.
Following this advice, Gronkowski directed his financial advisor&nbsp;to buy $69,000 worth of&nbsp;Apple shares.
At the time of Gronkowski&#8217;s investment, Apple was gearing up to launch the iPhone 6, which eventually became a massive success. The tech giant also debuted its first Apple Watch the following year. Since the iPhone 6&#8217;s launch on Sept. 9, 2014, Apple&#8217;s stock has skyrocketed by over 900%. Consequently, a $69,000 investment on that day would be worth around $740,000 today.

Gronkowski confessed that he had overlooked his Apple shares for about two-and-a-half years, only to find out they were valued at approximately $250,000. He sold a portion of the shares and kept the rest. 
&#8220;So I sell off the portion of the $69,000 I bought in and I have, now to this date, I have over $600,000 in Apple stock all because of the investment I made in 2014, having no idea what I was doing, but just listening to the guy that built my house here in New England so I appreciate that,&#8221; Gronkowski stated.
Gronkowski,&nbsp;a four-time Super Bowl champion, played for&nbsp;the New England Patriots and&nbsp;the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during his 11-season NFL career. He accumulated about $70 million during his tenure in the league.

According to data from <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com">Benzinga Pro</a>, Apple has a consensus price target of $242.26, based on ratings from 31 analysts. The latest ratings were issued by Morgan Stanley, Maxim Group, and Barclays on Nov.25 and Nov. 1 (for both Maxim and Barclays). These three analysts have an average price target of $224, indicating a potential downside of -4.76% for the company based on their projections.

Family members who tried to talk their relatives into buying cryptocurrencies that year have likely received some questions from relatives in the past year or so with the sector facing high volatility and items such as cryptocurrency bankruptcies sending the price of major cryptocurrencies down in 2022.
As&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/22/11/29846094/so-you-told-your-family-to-invest-in-bitcoin-dogecoin-and-ethereum-at-thanksgiving-last-ye" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Benzinga previously shared</a>, investing in Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum on Thanksgiving Day 2021 would have been down 72.3%, 64.6% and 72.5%, respectively a year later.
A $3,000 investment split between the three leading cryptocurrencies would have been down 69.8% to $905.69 from Thanksgiving 2021 to Thanksgiving 2022.
Family members who were convinced to buy cryptocurrency on Thanksgiving Day 2022 or Thanksgiving Day 2023 might have a more favorable attitude towards their crypto friendly relatives.

Investing $1,000 in BTC, DOGE, ETH: If a relative did end up convinced and decided to invest in cryptocurrency for the first time on Thanksgiving Day 2023, they have been blessed with a good entry point.
Here's a look at how investments would have fared over the last nearly one-year period, investing $1,000 in each of Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum.
A $1,000 investment in Bitcoin on Thanksgiving 2023 could have purchased 0.0266 BTC. The investment would be worth $2,563.18 today based on a price of $96,360.02 at the time of writing. The investment would be up 156.3% since the holiday last year.
A $1,000 investment in Dogecoin on Thanksgiving 2023 could have purchased 13,097.92 DOGE. The investment would be worth $5,261.43 today based on a price of $0.4017 at the time of writing. The investment would be up 426.1% since the holiday last year.
A $1,000 investment in Ethereum on Thanksgiving 2023 could have purchased 0.4789 ETH. The investment would be worth $1,742.85 today based on a price of $3,639.28 at the time of writing. The investment would be up 74.3% since the holiday last year.
In total, a $3,000 investment in the three well-known and discussed cryptocurrencies would be worth $9,567.46 today, up 218.9%
For comparison a $1,000 investment in the&nbsp;SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust,&nbsp;which tracks the S&amp;P 500 stock market index, would be worth $1,311.44 and up 31.1% from Thanksgiving 2023 to Thanksgiving 2024.
The returns from 2023 to now outpaced the gains from both 2021 to 2022 and 2022 to 2023.
Last year, Benzinga shared that the returns of Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum from Thanksgiving 2022 to Thanksgiving 2023 would have been up 123.3%, down 9.2% and up 70.5% respectively. The $3,000 investment from Thanksgiving 2022 to Thanksgiving 2023 would have been worth $4,846.24 and up 61.5%.
The huge returns over the last year could have crypto investors smiling plenty at the Thanksgiving Day dinner table Thursday.

Is The Stock Market Open On Thanksgiving?

Shares of Trump Media &amp; Technology Group Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DJT#NASDAQ">DJT</a>) have fallen by 11.36% since the U.S. presidential elections. Technical analysis using simple moving averages suggests that the stock price is neither increasing nor decreasing but oscillating within a defined range.
Stock Movement
After the shares zoomed post-election it has now fallen below the pre-election level. The Donald Trump-owned company shares are down 39% in the last six months and 36% in the last month.
However, it has outperformed the Nasdaq Composite and Nasdaq 100 and has risen by 74.44% year-to-date, whereas the two indices rose by 29% and 25% respectively, in the same period.
As of Wednesday&#8217;s close, the shares were down 0.23% at $30.44 apiece, which fell further by 0.06% to $30.42 per share during the after-hours. The share price remains 161% below its 52-week high of $79.44 apiece and 35% above its 52-week low of $22.55 per share.

Michael Ballanger of GGM Advisory Inc. shares his thoughts on the current state of the silver market and one copper stock he believes is a Buy.

Yesterday afternoon, shortly after the Comex pit sessions for the precious metals closed, I bit the bullet and decided to open a trading position in silver.

Despite my aversion to silver for most of the move in 2024, the SLV:US is ahead 12.44% year-to-date and is now outperforming gold GLD:US, which is up 10.64% YTD.

This performance by silver confirms the integrity of the new bull market in gold and the miners and is a welcome set-up for continued gains in the seniors and for the eventual recovery and outperformance in the junior developers.

<h2>Fitzroy Minerals Inc.</h2>

Speaking of the junior developers, it appears that Fitzroy Minerals Inc. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FTZFF#OTC">FTZFF</a>) is about to release an update on the Argentina-based Taquetren project where, up until now, exploration efforts have been unremarkable, to say the least.

I have always held Taquetren in high esteem largely because of the presence of Daniel Bussandri, the prospector/geologist responsible for the discovery of the gargantuan Navidad Silver deposit in 2001. Sold to Pan American Silver Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PAAS#NYSE">PAAS</a>) for $600 million in 2009, Navidad contains over 800 million ounces of silver along with copious quantities of lead and zinc and is located (like Taquetren) within the Gastre Fault zone of Patagonia.

However, unlike Navidad, which is located in mining-hostile Chubut Province, Taquetren is located in mining-friendly Rio Negro Province in an area that hosts the Calcatreu gold deposit owned by Patagonia Gold Plc (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HGLD#OTC">HGLD</a>). From what I am able to gather, Bussandri and his team have identified a gold-bearing zone at Taquetren that has caught his (and management&#39;s) attention in a rather large way so, with the obvious priorities being the two Chilean copper projects (Caballos and Polimet), this news comes as a pleasant surprise although I do not have any hard information on what has been found other than little snippets of information rather than anything material.

All I can glean is that Daniel Bussandri is excited, so if the man that delivered Navidad likes what he is seeing, that has to be important, making me quite pleased to be a shareholder of a company with multiple irons in the proverbial fire.

From what I am hearing, news on both Caballos and Polimet is pending as they prepare for the upcoming drill programs in the coming months. With copper prices now forging ahead of $4.30/lb., I am exceedingly bullish on the outlook for FTZ and look forward to the establishment of a quantifiable copper resource in 2024. The retail investor group will find the junior copper deals as copper prices continue to advance, making accumulation of FTZ shares a prescient move.
