"A lot of bankers, they're like dancing in the street because they've had successive years and years of regulations, a lot of which stymied credit," Dimon said. His point is that all the rules implemented over the past years have made it harder for banks to lend money, impacting businesses and the overall economy.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Regulations That Hold Banks Back</h2>
Dimon explained that banks in the U.S. used to lend out $100 for every $100 in deposits they held. But now, with all the restrictions, they only lend about $65 for every $100 in deposits. Greenway Greenhouse Cannabis Corporation (CSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GWAY#CSE">GWAY</a>) (OTCQB:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GWAYF#OTCQB">GWAYF</a>) reported on Wednesday its second-quarter interim financial statements for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2024.
The Canadian cultivator of high-quality greenhouse cannabis reported a 52% year-over-year increase in revenue to CA$1.8 million ($1.3 million). Moreover, for the first half of the fiscal year, Greenway&#8217;s net revenue increased by 78% compared to the same period in 2023.
CEO Jamie D&#8217;Alimonte highlighted the company&#8217;s revenue growth, product performance and ongoing commitment to quality cannabis production in a press release issued Wednesday.
&#8220;We have also seen our MillRite brand maintain itself as the #2 ranked pre-roll in its size category, while achieving the #2 Indica and Sativa pre-roll in the size category over the same time," D&#8217;Alimonte said. "Quarter over quarter, we have seen the total number of units sold increase by over 70%. Our plan to deliver high-quality, affordable products to Ontario users is working. I look forward to introducing additional SKUs in the New Year.&#8221; Despite reporting a net loss, the company emphasized its strong market position and ongoing improvements as drivers of long-term growth.

<li>Loss and comprehensive loss totaled roughly CA$1 million, up from CA$662,213 loss and comprehensive loss in the same quarter of last year.</li>
<li>Net cash provided by operating activities of CA$743,731 compared to cash used of CA$664,171 in the same quarter of the previous year.</li>
<li>Adjusted EBITDA came in negative at CA$253,010, compared to an adjusted EBITDA loss of CA$ $112,221 in the prior year's period.</li>

Greenway Greenhouse Cannabis Sees 52% YoY Growth In Q2 Revenue Amid Rising Losses And Cost Challenges

Dell Technologies Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DELL#NYSE">DELL</a>) shares are trading lower after the company reported worse-than-expected 2025 fiscal-year third-quarter sales results on Tuesday <a href="https://www.benzinga.com//node/42201885">after the bell</a>.
The Details: Dell stock dropped approximately 6.5% following its earnings report on Tuesday and continues to decline on Wednesday morning. The earnings report included sales of $24.37 billion, missing analyst estimates of $24.65 billion but representing a 10% year-over-year increase.
The company broke down its sales further, reporting $11.4 billion from its Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) and $12.1 billion from its Client Services Group (CSG). In addition, the company reported adjusted earnings per share of $2.15, beating analyst estimates of $2.05.
&#8220;We continued to build on our AI leadership and momentum, delivering combined ISG and CSG revenue of&nbsp;$23.5 billion, up&nbsp;13%&nbsp;year over year,&#8221; said&nbsp;Yvonne McGill, CFO of Dell. 
&#8220;Our continued focus on profitability resulted in EPS growth that outpaced revenue growth, and we again delivered strong cash performance.&#8221;
On a note, Goldman Sachs remained positive about Dell&#8217;s long-term outlook, citing strong AI server demand and opportunities from a delayed PC refresh cycle expected to materialize in 2025. Goldman highlighted strong AI orders of $3.6 billion, contributing to a $4.5 billion backlog in AI servers.
However, Goldman Sachs acknowledged some short-term challenges, including weaker demand for PCs and a delayed recovery in the PC refresh cycle. The firm also noted that while AI server demand remains strong, Blackwell server shipments could face headwinds from component availability, potentially impacting next quarter's results.

Flora's four-year partnership with Mirfa is valued at a total demand of approximately $500,000 annually. The Florida-based cannabis operator has been supplying Mirfa with JustCBD branded products, including gummies, tinctures and oils.

The collaboration has established Flora as a supplier in the Czech and Slovakian markets, utilizing its product innovation and compliance expertise alongside Just Brands UK&#8217;s distribution network to deliver products to consumers.
The Czech Republic and Slovakia are among Europe&#8217;s emerging cannabis markets, with increasing consumer acceptance and regulatory progress driving growth opportunities for innovative companies. According to Statista, the Czech CBD market reached $34 million in 2024.
Mirfa is a Czech company specializing in CBD-infused products designed to enhance the well-being of both humans and pets. Its offerings include CBD gummies aimed at improving sleep, reducing stress and alleviating pain, as well as CBD treats formulated to promote calmness and comfort in dogs.

Renewed sales orders with Mirfa come on the heels of the company's <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/24/11/41720393/flora-growth-inks-medical-marijuana-supply-agreement-with-curaleaf">medical marijuana supply agreement</a> with Curaleaf Holdings (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CURLF#OTCQX">CURLF</a>)&#8217;s subsidiary Northern Green Canada, Inc. Under the agreement, Northern Green will supply Flora with medicinal cannabis products that Flora will distribute in the German market.
In October, Flora also signed a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/24/10/41332773/flora-growth-teams-up-with-cannabis-giant-canopy-to-enter-94m-australian-medical-marijuana-marke">distribution agreement</a> with Canopy Growth Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CGC#NASDAQ">CGC</a>) for the distribution of Canopy's Storz &amp; Bickel medical line of vaporizers in Australia. Flora&#8217;s subsidiary Australian Vaporizers will be in charge of distribution.

"What we're doing is allowing people to put the cash value of their life insurance policies on the blockchain, and they can mint stablecoins against it," he explained. This approach unlocks liquidity for policyholders while making life insurance a more accessible asset class for investors through fractionalized tokens.
Dr. Murphy also emphasized blockchain&#8217;s ability to address a longstanding issue in finance—opacity. "The financial sector right now is very opaque. Investors don't know what they're getting," he said. He compared the 2008 financial crisis, adding, "The mortgage-backed securities blowing up&#8230;part of the problem was nobody knew what was in these things. Now, with blockchain smart contracts, everybody knows exactly what they're buying."
<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Optimism for Regulatory Certainty</h4>
Another focal point of the discussion was the industry&#8217;s anticipation of regulatory clarity following the recent election. "Everybody, I think, is relieved to know that there's just going to be regulatory certainty," Dr. Murphy said. 
He noted that companies are not seeking special treatment but simply want a clear rulebook to continue building and innovating. "The best people will win, and the best companies will rise to the top," he added, underscoring the industry&#8217;s focus on competition and advancement.
<h4 class="wp-block-heading">The Future of Digital Assets and Blockchain</h4>
Looking ahead, Dr. Murphy predicted the continued integration of real-world assets onto the blockchain. "More and more real-world assets will be put on the blockchain," he stated. As transparency increases and familiarity with digital assets grows, he anticipates blockchain will become a standard feature of financial transactions rather than an emerging innovation.
