Solana&#8216;s (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/sol/usd">SOL</a>) rapid growth faces <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/solana-price-prediction">a significant obstacle,</a> according to Mert Mumtaz, Co-Founder and CEO of Helius Labs.
In an interview with Benzinga, Mumtaz highlighted the lack of standardized data formats, hindering actionable insights for developers and users alike.
He said the absence of uniform data schemas prevents efficient indexing and accessibility, making it difficult for different user segments to extract meaningful insights from blockchain networks.
Mumtaz identified that a primary hurdle in on-chain data lies not in technical limitations, but in the absence of universal standards. 
&#8220;The biggest hurdle in onchain data is the lack of common standards for what that data should look like,&#8221; Mumtaz stated. 
He elaborated that different users require specific data tailored to their needs, making it uneconomical to serve all use cases without standardization. 
&#8220;For data to be actionable, it must be ready to use for a specific customer-type. Stablecoins need stablecoin data. Traders need price data. NFT people need NFT data,&#8221; he said.

This would empower developers to access and utilize the necessary data without additional effort or customized solutions.
Mumtaz also noted the sheer scale and volume of data presents an &#8220;economic&#8221; problem as it&#8217;s not cheap to index.
Beyond data accessibility, Mumtaz also highlighted the rapid pace of Solana&#8217;s network upgrades as another developer challenge.
The rapid updates often require developers to swiftly adapt and learn new best practices to prevent their code from becoming outdated. 
Helius, according to Mumtaz, is focused on making data reading as easily and reliably as possible in the current Solana environment.
