The market continues to see an uptick in volatility while simultaneously printing higher stock prices. This usually means there is a topping formation in progress. That said, financials continue to move constructively northward and the heels of earnings for American Express (AXP) take place on Friday morning.
So today we're looking at a bullish trade on AXP's earnings.
Today's trade will be a long call butterfly spread. When we position with long call butterfly spreads, we attempt to collect a premium that is generated by a strong move in the underlying stock's chart. We offset the cost of the long calls into earnings with a short call spread that mitigates some of the risk premium incurred taking the position
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Trade structure – the long call butterfly with a twist</h2>
The long call butterfly consists of two spreads – a long call spread and a short call spread that attempts to capture the potential upward spike in price from the earnings release. To help pay for this position we will sell a short call spread to collect a premium.
AXP's stock price is currently range bound with resistance near $340 and support near $300. With that in mind, here's the trade:

<li>Buy to open 1 AXP 21 Feb 330 calls</li>
<li>Sell to open 1 AXP 21 Feb 340 calls</li>
<li>Buy to open 1 AXP 21 Feb 345 calls</li>
</ul>
At this writing the debit cost is $1.90 and the maximum profit will be the distance between the first two strikes (330 and 340), which is $10, less the cost of $1.90 = $8.10 or $810. Notice, however, that the short call spread is only $5 wide, so if the price action shoots past $345, we would still have $5 from the first spread, less the cost – and this would still deliver over 150% gains.
Our maximum risk is simply the cost of the spread – if the price action fades, or does not rise past $330, we will lose the cost of the debit.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Trade Management</h2>
The strategy result provides three ways to exit the trade:
<ol>
<li>Sell the butterfly once it gets to an acceptable profit margin for you. I customarily look for 150%-300% profit for these kinds of trades in the current environment of volatility.</li>
<li>Sell the butterfly once it hits a loss threshold as determined by personal risk – this will happen with extreme movement. I customarily look at about 70% though depending on my size.</li>
<li>Ssell the butterfly into the week before expiration, if all is going well and you have decided to hold the trade into closer to the end of expiration (I have had many a trade go sideways taking it down to the wire and not capturing gains, so I do not advise this).</li>

How to Trade Tomorrow's Earnings

Cathie Wood, the founder of asset management firm&nbsp;Ark Invest, expressed uncertainty about the utility of President Donald Trump&#8217;s coin on Wednesday, adding that her company has avoided memecoin investments.
What Happened: During an interview with Bloomberg TV, Wood labeled the launch of Official Trump&nbsp;(TRUMP)&nbsp;as part of a &#8220;memecoin moment,&#8221; but only time will tell if it becomes useful in some way.
&#8220;I mean there is speculation that you&#8217;ll get to meet President Trump as one of the utilities of owning this coin. I don&#8217;t know if that&#8217;s the case or not. But so far, we don&#8217;t know of much utility for this coin, except that it is a meme coin of President Trump,&#8221; the veteran investor said.
That said, Wood noted that the launch could potentially symbolize the &#8220;next phase of&nbsp;the cryptocurrency revolution.&#8221;

What Happened: In an X post, Conor Grogan, a director at&nbsp;Coinbase, said that he had found nearly 430 BTC across multiple wallets linked to Ulbricht. These wallets were not seized by the U.S. government and have remained untouched for over 13 years.

AI Agents: Some companies like Oracle Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ORCL#NYSE">ORCL</a>) and Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CRM#NYSE">CRM</a>) are developing AI agents designed to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks. These AI agents could contribute to some of the job displacement the WEF highlighted. 
Oracle offers more than 50 role-based AI agents within its Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite which can <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/ORCL#:~:text=Oracle%20AI%20Agents%20Help%20Sales%20Teams%20Create%20More%20Meaningful%20Customer%20Connections">perform tasks</a> in the areas of finance, sales, customer service and marketing. Salesforce's Agentforce is an AI platform that enables companies and organizations <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/01/42917603/salesforce-empowers-retailers-with-ai-to-boost-efficiency-and-sales">to build</a> customized autonomous AI agents for various business functions.
Experts predict AI agents will grow to become commonplace in the near term. 
"Agents are the next step in putting AI to work in the real world. Consumers should expect almost every major business they interact with to create an agent. We'll see agents supporting customers in banking, insurance, healthcare and retail. By this time next year, agents will be a reality of our collective digital lives," Paul Drews, managing partner for Salesforce Ventures<a href="https://www.fastcompany.com/91254053/25-experts-predict-how-ai-will-change-business-and-life-in-2025"> told</a> Fast Company.&nbsp;

AI, AI Agents Will Create 'Unprecedented Opportunities And Profound Risks,' World Economic Forum Says

In the past decade or so the alternative beverage industry has caught fire. Major beverage companies such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi have suddenly found themselves fighting for market share against formerly unknown competitors. Part of the reason for the situation has to do with changing customer tastes. But it is also possible that many of the smaller beverage companies caught the giants sleeping by developing newer offerings, such as the now ubiquitous energy drink. The smaller companies have also been far more prone to experiment with new tastes and formulations which the giants are too afraid to try. While the beverage giants certainly still have a firm grip on the overall industry, their recent disappointing earnings may show the first major cracks in the beverage status quo. 

	National Beverage (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fizz#NASDAQ">FIZZ</a>)

	National Beverage Corp is a flavored drink manufacturer based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The company was originally founded in the 1980s and grew to include such recognizable brands as Shasta sodas, Everfresh fruit juices, and Rip It energy drinks. Though National Beverage Corp is considered a “second tier” beverage manufacturer, the company is among the top ten flavored beverage manufacturers in the country. As an example of the company's explosive growth, the company's stock opened at $13.80 on March 12, 2013 – and closed at $21.26 one year later on March 11, 2014 for a 54 percent gain.

	High Performance Beverages (OTCQB: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/tbev#OTCQB">TBEV</a>)

	High Performance Beverages caters to the younger crowd and mostly targets fans of popular combat sport mixed martial arts (MMA.) The company's flagship product is Dethrone beverage, which is said to be a unique drink which offers athletes benefits combining those found in both energy drinks and nutritional supplement beverages. In March 2013 the company announced a partnership with Mussetter Distributing, which has major operations in the state of California, but the company is still in the process of securing the venture capital needed to take its product offerings to the masses.

	Monster (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/mnst#NASDAQ">MNST</a>)

	Monster Energy Drink company was founded in 2002, and has grown to national prominence through an effective strategy of extreme sports sponsorships - which eventually expanded to include sponsorships of music artists and other cultural icons. The company, which began with just one drink formulation, now has over 30 drink formulations in production, with virtually all being some variation on the caffeinated energy drink motif. Though the company is not owned outright by Coca-Cola, Monster did announce in 2012 that it would use Coca-Cola's distribution channels in a partnership with the company. Monster is up big time after the announcement, and has gained 57 percent over the past 12 months.

	Reed&#39;s, Inc.(NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/reed#NYSE MKT">REED</a>)

	The story goes that Reed's beverage company got its beginning when Chris Reed found a 100 year old beverage recipe in the UCLA library, and decided to brew it as an experiment. The company sold its first beverages to the public in 1989, which included a Caribbean style “homebrewed” ginger soda. The line has since grown to include various ginger beverages, root beer, and even ice creams and even candies. The company's products are currently sold at over 14,000 stores in the United States. The past 12 months has seen phenomenal stock price appreciation for the company, which is now trading up 75 percent above where it was just one year ago.

	Konared Corp(OTCQB: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/kred#OTCQB">KRED</a>)

	Konared's mission is to reintroduce the world to coffee. Unlike many other start-ups which focus on providing yet another way to enjoy traditional coffee, which is made from toasted and pulverized coffee beans, Konared actually makes use of the coffee berry in order to produce its beverage. On its website the company explains that the berry which surrounds the coffee bean is removed, processed, and blended into a unique coffee treat which tastes quite different from traditional coffee. Though Konared's stock is still firmly in penny stock territory, its return for the past 12 months is sitting firmly at 25 percent.
