What Happened: Since the approval of NIL deals, top <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/ncaa-football">NCAA Football players</a> have been able to earn thousands and millions of dollars on deals.
USC recruit Matai Tagoa'i announced he will be paid in Bitcoin for a portion of his NIL payments starting next year, as reported by On3.
The deal comes through a partnership with Strike, a Bitcoin payments app. USC NIL collective House of Victory helped facilitate the deal.
"This is a game-changer for me. By taking part of my NIL earnings in Bitcoin, I'm setting myself up for long-term financial growth. I'm grateful to Strike, House of Victory and 3Point0 Labs for helping me take this step," Tagoa'i said.
With the deal, Tagoa'i is believed to be the first college athlete to get paid NIL payments in Bitcoin.
"I'm proud to be part of this innovative collaboration that's redefining the future of college athletics and finance and hope to set an example for other young athletes."
Strike founder Jack Mallers, who has helped with other <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/21/07/21984141/nfls-saquon-barkley-to-take-100-of-endorsement-money-in-bitcoin">Bitcoin deals for athletes</a>, took to social media to share his excitement for the deal.
"Bitcoin is more than a new technology. Bitcoin is a cultural phenomenon. An idea and a movement that's time has come. Excited to work with @mataitagoai and more athletes around the world that want to keep the wealth they earn and inspire new generations to sue better money," Mallers tweeted.
A four-star recruit and top-100 recruit nationwide, the linebacker is expected to be a key to USC Football next season. Tagoa'i picked USC over other top schools he was considering including Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&amp;M and Washington.
USC finished with a 6-6 record in the 2024 NCAA Football season, including a 4-5 record in the Big Ten Conference, its first in the conference.

From here, I&rsquo;d like to see ALB initially retest $137.50, especially with lithium prices finally bottoming out.&nbsp;&nbsp;



Making ALB even more attractive as another one of the top lithium stocks to buy, it recently declared a dividend of 40 cents, payable on July 1 to shareholders of record as of June 14.



Helping, the electric vehicle market is showing signs of life again, according to the International Energy Agency. &ldquo;Every other car sold globally in 2035 is set to be electric based on today&rsquo;s energy, climate and industrial policy settings, as reflected in the IEA&rsquo;s Stated Policies Scenario. This has significant impacts on the car fleet. As soon as 2030, almost one in three cars on the roads in China is electric in this scenario, and almost one in five in both the United States and European Union,&rdquo; <a href="https://www.iea.org/reports/global-ev-outlook-2024/executive-summary">noted the IEA</a>.



With these growing catalysts, I&rsquo;d like to see ALB closer to $200 again near term.



<h2>Sociedad Quimia Y Minera (SQM)</h2>

After finding support at $42.50, SQM ran back to $49.46. Now, if it can break above resistance at around $51, it could potentially retest $62. Also, while we wait for the recovery, we can collect its $0.2134 quarterly dividend, payable May 28 to shareholders of record as of May 10.



Granted, recent earnings weren&rsquo;t so hot. Its earnings per share loss of $3.04 missed by $1.46. Revenue of $1.08 billion, down 55.2% year over year missed by $60 million. But that&rsquo;s to be expected when lithium prices plunge as they have. However, the company did revise and increased its lithium sales volume guidance.



&ldquo;We believe that the strong demand growth in lithium market seen since the beginning of the year could continue for the remainder of the year, with total lithium demand surpassing 1.1 million metric tons during 2024,&rdquo; <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/sqm-reports-earnings-for-the-three-months-ended-march-31-2024-302153702.html">said SQM CEO Ricardo Ramos</a>.



&ldquo;Given this positive trend in demand growth, especially in&nbsp;China&nbsp;which accounts for almost 75% of global lithium demand, and our updated sales volumes outlook for the year, we believe that our sales volumes could reach 200,000 metric tons in 2024,&rdquo; he added.



<h2>Piedmont Lithium (PLL)</h2>

&ldquo;The company just secured its much-anticipated North Carolina mining permit. With that,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20240415485352/en/Piedmont-Lithium-Receives-Mining-Permit-Approval-for-Carolina-Lithium">according to Piedmont Lithium President and CEO Keith Phillips</a>, &lsquo;We plan to develop Carolina Lithium as one of the lowest-cost, most sustainable lithium hydroxide operations in the world, and as a critical part of the American electric vehicle supply chain.'&rdquo;



That was on May 2, as PLL traded at $12.20. Today, after testing $16.59, PLL is now trading at $14.50, and is still a strong buy opportunity. Earnings weren&rsquo;t too hot here either, with lithium prices down. The EPS loss was 61 cents, missing expectations by 73 cents. Revenue of $13.4 million missed by $1.28 million.



However, with lithium prices bottoming out, electric vehicle sales accelerating, and its approved project in North Carolina, I&rsquo;d like to see PLL double, if not triple from its current undervalued price of $14.50.

Lithium demand is about to skyrocket, opening opportunities for some of the most undervalued <a href="https://investorplace.com/industries/energy/renewable-energy/battery/lithium/">lithium stocks</a> available.



First, <a href="https://www.statista.com/statistics/452025/projected-total-demand-for-lithium-globally/#:~:text=Increases%20in%20battery%20demand%20for,3.8%20million%20tons%20by%202035.">according to Statista</a>, global demand is set to soar, noting it could reach 3.8 million tons by 2035. That&rsquo;s a sizable jump from just over a million tons this year as the world attempts to go green.



Second, the <a href="https://www.iea.org/reports/the-role-of-critical-minerals-in-clean-energy-transitions/executive-summary#">International Energy Agency</a> says that based on current electric vehicles and battery storage, lithium demand could soar 13 times over by 2040. Prices are set to follow.

It&rsquo;s just another reason to start jumping into some of the most undervalued lithium stocks.



<h2>Albemarle (ALB)</h2>

After failing at double top resistance dating back to February, the lithium giant has since slipped to $118. From here, I&rsquo;d like to see it retest $137.50.&nbsp;



As we wait for ALB&rsquo;s rise, we can collect its 40 cents per share dividend, payable July 1 to shareholders of record as of June 14. In addition,&nbsp;analysts at&nbsp;Deutsche Bank just <a href="https://www.investing.com/news/company-news/deutsche-bank-lifts-albemarle-stock-pt-on-strong-q1-ebitda-93CH-3424407">raised their price target on ALB</a>&nbsp;to $140 with a hold rating. RBC Capital also&nbsp;<a href="https://www.sahmcapital.com/news/content/rbc-capital-reiterates-outperform-on-albemarle-maintains-157-price-target-2024-05-24">raised its target to $157</a>, with an outperform rating thanks to strong earnings.



In its first quarter, the company posted adjusted earnings per share of 26 cents on sales of $1.4 billion. The market was only looking for 25 cents on $1.3 billion in sales. A year-over-year decline is normal when lithium prices plummet. Give ALB time to work out.



<h2>American Lithium (AMLI)</h2>

Most recently, it dropped from about 85 cents to 67 cents, where it appears to have caught strong support. From here, I&rsquo;d like to see it initially retest 85 cents, and potentially run back to $1.



Helping, analysts at National Bank just <a href="https://pro.thestreet.com/thefly-newsbreaks/amli-american-lithium-initiated-with-bullish-view-at-national-bank-heres-why">initiated coverage of AMLI</a> with an outperform rating with a $1.50 price target.&nbsp;&nbsp;



We also have to remember that AMLI&nbsp;tripled the estimated value of its Falchani lithium projects in Peru. &ldquo;The company said Falchani&rsquo;s estimated value has tripled from the previous forecast to $5.11B and that the project would have a potential operating life of 32 years,&rdquo;&nbsp;<a href="https://seekingalpha.com/news/4053784-american-lithium-jumps-after-unveiling-pea-results-for-key-peru-project">as noted by Seeking Alpha</a>.



In addition, as noted by AMLI CEO Simon Clarke, &ldquo;Going forward, with lithium prices appearing to have bottomed and uranium prices having strengthened further, we feel we are uniquely placed to benefit from any sustained recovery and in the interim, we continue to prudently manage our working capital.&rdquo;



<h2>Piedmont Lithium (PLL)</h2>
