Shares of Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PRGS#NASDAQ">PRGS</a>) fell sharply in today's pre-market trading after the company issued first-quarter EPS <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/PRGS/earnings">guidance below estimates</a>.
Progress Software reported quarterly earnings of $1.33 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.22 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $215.00 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $211.25 million.
Progress Software said it sees first-quarter revenue of $232 million to $238 million versus market estimates of $235.840 million. The company projects adjusted earnings of $1.02 to $1.08 per share, versus expectations of $1.25 per share.
Progress Software shares declined 2.6% to $61.90 in the pre-market trading session.

Seagate Technology Holdings plc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/STX#NASDAQ">STX</a>) reported better-than-expected second-quarter <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/STX/earnings">earnings on Tuesday</a>.
The company posted quarterly earnings of $2.03 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.88 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $2.33 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.32 billion.
&#8220;Seagate ended calendar 2024 on a strong note as we grew revenue, gross margin and non-GAAP EPS successively in each quarter of the year. Our results demonstrate structural improvements in the business and our focus on value capture in an improving demand environment, highlighted by decade-high gross margin performance exiting the December quarter,&#8221; said Dave Mosley, Seagate&#8217;s chief executive officer.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on January 20, 2025, initiating the United States&#8217; withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO).
The <a target="_blank" href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/withdrawing-the-united-states-from-the-worldhealth-organization/" rel="noreferrer noopener">move</a> marks a continuance of Trump&#8217;s first-term efforts to end WHO membership, citing concerns about the organization&#8217;s governance and financial practices. Former President Joe Biden reversed Trump&#8217;s initial withdrawal attempt upon taking office in 2021.
In his order, Trump pointed to the WHO&#8217;s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, its alleged susceptibility to political influence, and a lack of meaningful reforms as primary reasons for the decision.
The U.S. has criticized the organization&#8217;s funding structure, emphasizing that American contributions far outweigh those of other nations. For example, China, with a population over three times that of the U.S., contributes approximately 90% less to the WHO&#8217;s budget, the executive order says.
The executive order formally <a target="_blank" href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/01/20/us/politics/trump-world-health-organization.html" rel="noreferrer noopener">revokes</a> the 2021 Presidential Letter that retracted the U.S.&#8217;s initial notification to withdraw. Trump&#8217;s administration argued that WHO has failed to demonstrate independence from undue political influence and continues to impose unfair financial demands on the U.S.
The WHO said it <a target="_blank" href="https://www.who.int/news/item/21-01-2025-who-comments-on-united-states--announcement-of-intent-to-withdraw" rel="noreferrer noopener">regretted</a> the decision, emphasizing the historic partnership between the organization and the United States. As a founding member since 1948, the U.S. has played a significant role in shaping the WHO&#8217;s initiatives and policies.
The collaboration has led to major public health achievements, including the eradication of smallpox and the near-eradication of polio. WHO highlighted that American institutions have contributed to and benefited from the partnership over the past seven decades.
The U.S. decides to withdraw when global health challenges require coordinated efforts. While the WHO faces criticism, the organization argues that U.S. involvement has been critical to protecting Americans and addressing international health crises.

As previously announced, positive data from EFTISARC-NEO was presented at the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) Annual Meeting in November 2024. Among 21 patients available for primary endpoint assessment, the triple combination achieved a greater than three-fold increase in tumour hyalinization/fibrosis (median 50%) at the time of surgical resection as compared to a historical median 15% from radiotherapy alone. This is an early surrogate endpoint at the time of surgery as tumour hyalinization/fibrosis has been associated with improved survival for STS patients.1,2
Additionally, the treatment has been safe with no grade ≥3 toxicities related to efti and pembrolizumab.

The mission will be conducted from Rocket Lab&#8217;s private Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand.
This launch will be the fourth of five planned Electron launches under a contract with Kinéis, designed to deploy a full constellation of 25 IoT satellites.
