AMD previously collaborated with Samsung on the Exynos 2200 processor, which featured a GPU based on AMD&#8217;s RDNA 2 architecture. However, this earlier partnership focused on graphic enhancements rather than central processor development.
AMD&#8217;s current MI300 series processors, known for their application in AI servers, could lay the groundwork for these upcoming mobile APUs. Industry insiders suggest that Samsung integrate these APUs into its premium devices, which rely heavily on Taiwan Semiconductor-manufactured components, such as Qualcomm Inc processors in the Galaxy S series.
According to Taiwan Semiconductor, its 3nm technology, including N3, N3E, and N3P nodes, has drawn significant interest from major clients like AMD, Apple Inc, and MediaTek. The demand for these advanced chips is so high that Taiwan Semiconductor has tripled its production capacity compared to last year. However, it still needs to work on meeting the overwhelming number of orders.
Taiwan Semiconductor&#8217;s ongoing development of its 3nm family will further address emerging needs in AI, mobile devices, and automotive computing.
AMD posted third-quarter revenue of $6.8 billion, surpassing <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/10/41612007/amd-q3-earnings-revenue-beat-eps-in-line-data-center-up-122-significant-growth-opportunities-ahead-" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst expectations of $6.71 billion</a>. Revenue grew 18%, driven by a 122% increase in Data Center revenue, which reached $3.5 billion. Client segment revenue rose 29% to $1.9 billion. However, Gaming revenue dropped 69% to $462 million, while Embedded revenue decreased 25% to $927 million.
For the fourth quarter, AMD projects revenue of $7.5 billion, plus or minus $300 million, reflecting 22% growth at the midpoint.
Goldman Sachs analyst&nbsp;Toshiya Hari <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/10/41431993/amd-to-benefit-from-ai-competitive-arms-race-goldman-sachs" rel="noreferrer noopener">credited AMD&#8217;s growth</a> to increasing capital investment in AI infrastructure, driven by enterprises in an &#8220;AI arms race.&#8221; AMD&#8217;s robust product pipeline, including competitive GPUs and the integration of ZT Systems, positions the company for accelerated growth.
Rebounding demand for server CPUs and market share gains in enterprise-targeted SKUs will likely boost revenue and margins.

In the second quarter, the company outperformed <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/08/40588492/nordstrom-stock-rallies-on-strong-q2-earnings-details">earnings expectations with EPS of $0.96</a>, a 35.21% beat over the consensus estimate of $0.71, driven by strategic pricing and operational efficiencies. 
What Happened: Although quarterly sales of $3.894 billion narrowly missed estimates, they represented a 3.23% year-over-year increase, with digital sales up 6.2% and notable growth in Nordstrom Rack's net sales (+8.8%).
The second quarter gross profit margin of 36.6%—a 155 basis point improvement—showcased Nordstrom's focus on full-price sales and leveraging higher volumes. However, the 8.3% increase in ending inventory relative to sales growth warrants attention as the company balances stock management in a dynamic retail landscape.

Speaking with CNBC, Rainey explained, "We never want to raise prices. Our model is everyday low prices. But there probably will be cases where prices will go up for consumers."&nbsp;

These proposed tariffs include a 10-20% tax on all imports and could go as high as 60-100% on products from China. Retailers like Walmart, AutoZone, Lowe's and others are already speaking out about how these potential changes could make everyday goods more expensive for customers.
The majority of goods Walmart sells are not at risk of tariffs, as about two-thirds of the items sold by Walmart are made, grown or assembled in the U.S. However, tariffs may have a major effect on the remaining one-third of imported goods. In recent years, Walmart has been expanding its supply chain by sourcing from other countries to lessen its reliance on China.
Lowe's CEO Marvin Ellison also expressed concern, saying they're talking to suppliers to understand how the tariffs might affect prices.

Other companies are also taking measures to deal with the tariffs. AutoZone (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AZO#NYSE">AZO</a>) CEO Philip Daniele, for example, has recently stated that if tariffs are imposed, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/startups/24/11/42027079/we-will-pass-those-tariff-costs-back-to-the-consumer-says-ceo-of-autozone-heres-a-look-at-other-companies-raising-prices">they will pass those costs onto the consumers</a>. Because AutoZone anticipates the impact on their margins, they even plan to hike prices before the tariffs go into effect. Similarly, Steve Madden intends to shift some of its production to Vietnam, Cambodia and Mexico to lessen its dependency on Chinese production, though price increases are still possible.

They anticipate that a $100 coat may increase by up to $21, while a $90 pair of sneakers might cost between $106 and $116.
