Progress Software reported quarterly earnings of $1.33 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.22 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $215.00 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $211.25 million.
Progress Software said it sees first-quarter revenue of $232 million to $238 million versus market estimates of $235.840 million. The company projects adjusted earnings of $1.02 to $1.08 per share, versus expectations of $1.25 per share.
Progress Software shares declined 2.6% to $61.90 in the pre-market trading session.

The company posted quarterly earnings of $2.03 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.88 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $2.33 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.32 billion.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on January 20, 2025, initiating the United States&#8217; withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO).
The <a target="_blank" href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/withdrawing-the-united-states-from-the-worldhealth-organization/" rel="noreferrer noopener">move</a> marks a continuance of Trump&#8217;s first-term efforts to end WHO membership, citing concerns about the organization&#8217;s governance and financial practices. Former President Joe Biden reversed Trump&#8217;s initial withdrawal attempt upon taking office in 2021.
In his order, Trump pointed to the WHO&#8217;s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, its alleged susceptibility to political influence, and a lack of meaningful reforms as primary reasons for the decision.
The U.S. has criticized the organization&#8217;s funding structure, emphasizing that American contributions far outweigh those of other nations. For example, China, with a population over three times that of the U.S., contributes approximately 90% less to the WHO&#8217;s budget, the executive order says.
The executive order formally <a target="_blank" href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/01/20/us/politics/trump-world-health-organization.html" rel="noreferrer noopener">revokes</a> the 2021 Presidential Letter that retracted the U.S.&#8217;s initial notification to withdraw. Trump&#8217;s administration argued that WHO has failed to demonstrate independence from undue political influence and continues to impose unfair financial demands on the U.S.
The WHO said it <a target="_blank" href="https://www.who.int/news/item/21-01-2025-who-comments-on-united-states--announcement-of-intent-to-withdraw" rel="noreferrer noopener">regretted</a> the decision, emphasizing the historic partnership between the organization and the United States. As a founding member since 1948, the U.S. has played a significant role in shaping the WHO&#8217;s initiatives and policies.
The collaboration has led to major public health achievements, including the eradication of smallpox and the near-eradication of polio. WHO highlighted that American institutions have contributed to and benefited from the partnership over the past seven decades.
The U.S. decides to withdraw when global health challenges require coordinated efforts. While the WHO faces criticism, the organization argues that U.S. involvement has been critical to protecting Americans and addressing international health crises.

Among 21 patients available for primary endpoint assessment, the triple combination achieved a greater than three-fold increase in tumour hyalinization/fibrosis (median 50%) at the time of surgical resection as compared to a historical median 15% from radiotherapy alone. This is an early surrogate endpoint at the time of surgery as tumour hyalinization/fibrosis has been associated with improved survival for STS patients.1,2
Additionally, the treatment has been safe with no grade ≥3 toxicities related to efti and pembrolizumab.

Sonim Technologies (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SONM#NASDAQ">SONM</a>), a U.S.-based leader in rugged mobile solutions, today announced the formation of a special committee comprised solely of independent directors (the "Special Committee") to explore and evaluate strategic alternatives to enhance stockholder value following the Schedule 13D/A filed by AJP Holding Company, LLC with the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 17, 2025.
The Special Committee will be chaired by Mr. Mike Mulica and will be comprised of Mr. Mulica and Mr. James Cassano.
Sonim welcomes open, constructive communications with all stockholders and encourages input that advances our shared goal of enhancing stockholder value.
Consistent with its fiduciary duties and in consultation with its advisors, including Roth Capital Partners, the Special Committee will carefully consider and evaluate strategic alternatives received from several parties including, but not limited to, Orbic North America LLC, to determine the course of action that it believes is in the best interests of Sonim and its stockholders.
During this process, the Special Committee may receive and evaluate business combinations, including mergers or acquisitions, as well as, other strategic transactions, such as a sale of the company or a significant portion of its assets, to enhance stockholder value.
Sonim remains focused on providing clients with world-class 5G mobility solutions.
Sonim cautions that there can be no assurance that the Special Committee's review will result in any particular transaction being approved or consummated. Sonim does not intend to comment further on this matter unless and until the Special Committee approves a course of action for which further disclosure is appropriate or required.
