Cho said Goldman Sachs still maintains a &#8220;Buy&#8221; rating for Domino&#8217;s as the company expects to have solid growth over the next three years in great part due to its rewards program and third-party delivery arrangement with Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UBER#NYSE">UBER</a>).
&#8220;While we were surprised by the large international unit growth guidance cuts, we see this as a necessary re-set and expect some acceleration in international [same-store sales growth] with a healthier franchise store base,&#8221; she wrote.
TD Cowen analyst Andrew M. Charles said the cut in store openings overseas should not have much impact on Domino&#8217;s future bottom line.
&#8220;We argue on-track U.S. development for 175+ net openings annually is more important as international growth carries 60% of the sales volumes and 50% of the royalty rate versus U.S. stores,&#8221; he said.
He also considered Domino&#8217;s to be the &#8220;brightest story in quick service&#8221; and maintained a &#8220;Buy&#8221; rating on the stock.
&#8220;We like DPZ&#8217;s positioning as the category leader in the $40+ billion QSR pizza category, with superior unit economics and an advantage with digital and data analytics,&#8221; he wrote in a note.
&#8220;While pizza delivery headwinds have challenged the category for the better part of the last 18 months, we are optimistic on Domino&#8217;s robust strategic playbook to overshadow these headwinds to drive U.S. same-store sales upside in 2024-25 and organically deliver EPS beats.&#8221;

The state began accepting applications for recreational marijuana sales on June 7. "Riviera Creek is thrilled to earn a dual-use license and looks forward to providing its top-tier products to adults across the state of Ohio," said CEO, Daniel Kessler. The company has expanded its facility significantly in anticipation of the adult-use market, adding approximately 5,000 square feet of canopy and hiring additional staff.
Similarly, Pure Ohio Wellness, which operates a substantial cultivation and processing facility in Springfield, has also received dual-use certification. 
"It means a lot to us&#8230; this brings us one step closer," CEO Tracey McMillin commented. The company has boosted its production capabilities, doubling its flower production capacity and expanding its facilities to accommodate increased demand.

The DCC's initial batch includes these ten cultivators and processors:

"It will be up to the retailer based on staffing, stock and other considerations as to which day they will begin sales," explained Jamie Crawford, public information officer with the Ohio Department of Commerce.
Dispensaries will be subject to specific conditions, including confidentiality for customers and strict guidelines on store activities. Notably, the DCC has outlined permissible and prohibited activities for dispensaries' opening days, ensuring that events and promotions align with regulatory standards.
Ohio&#8217;s entry into the adult-use cannabis market places it among the more populated states with these legal provisions, like California, New York and Illinois.

In an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTYnHr_-wcY">interview</a>, Jerry Selbee told 60 Minutes that he always had a &#8220;head for math.&#8221; With a bachelor's degree in the subject, he quickly spotted something interesting in a new lottery game called Winfall. Unlike other lottery games where the jackpot grows until someone wins big, this one had a special roll-down feature. If the jackpot hit $5 million and no one won, the money would roll down to smaller prize winners, making their payouts much bigger.
Jerry realized that he could almost guarantee a win by buying a certain amount of tickets. He did some quick calculations and figured out that for every $1,100 he spent, he'd get back about $1,900. This was all basic math to Jerry, and he couldn't believe no one else had caught on.
Starting small, Jerry bought $3,600 worth of tickets and won $6,300. He then invested $8,000 and nearly doubled his money again. At this point, he shared his strategy with his wife, Marge, and together they decided to go all in. For six years, they drove 900 miles to Massachusetts every time there was a roll-down, buying hundreds of thousands of tickets and sorting them for hours in a modest hotel room.
Their strategy was simple but effective. They invested over $600,000 per play seven times a year, totaling $4.2 million annually. Despite the long drives and hours of work, Jerry and Marge found it fun and satisfying. They enjoyed the challenge and the success it brought them and their investors, saying, &#8220;It&#8217;s fun doing it. You got a high on it, and it gave you the satisfaction of being successful at something worthwhile not only to us personally but to our friends and our family.&#8221;
In case they had a physical federal audit, the couple kept $18 million worth of losing tickets in more than 60 plastic tubs in their barn.&nbsp;

The Selbees had <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/23/09/34980143/taxing-the-titans-how-bezos-musk-and-buffett-exploited-tax-loopholes">legally exploited a loophole</a>, benefiting themselves and the state, making $120 million from the game.
Their corporation grossed over $26 million, with nearly $8 million in profit before taxes. They used their winnings to renovate their home and support the education of their six children, 14 grandkids, and 10 great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

But Selbees weren&#8217;t the only ones who figured out this loophole. Scott Allen from The Globe said, &#8220;Smart people had figured out if I buy enough of these tickets I&#8217;ll always be a winner. I&#8217;ll get back more than I spent.&#8221;&nbsp;
While Jerry and Marge Selbee were making millions with their lottery strategy, a group of students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) discovered the same loophole and formed a syndicate to exploit it. The syndicate was started by a student who discovered the Massachusetts Cash Winfall game's roll-down feature during an independent study project.
He started pooling his money with some of his colleagues and began purchasing tickets in bulk, just like the Selbees. Over seven years, the MIT group bet between $17 and $18 million on Cash Winfall, earning at least $3.5 million in profits. As with the Selbees, no wrongdoing was ever found by the authorities.

The study examined 268 global mines, most of which are currently operating. Interestingly, only three mines have come into production in the U.S. since 2002. Additionally, 10 non-operating projects have been in production for decades, with one going back as far as 1978. Pre-production values of mines in development have exceeded $100 billion in copper, gold, lithium and zinc.
Despite having substantial mineral resources, including over 275 million tons of copper and over 43 million tons of lithium, the U.S. lags in mineral exploration compared to Canada or Australia.
While Australia saw 57% higher investments over the last 15 years, in Canada, this discrepancy is as high as 81%, owing to a higher certainty for projects to reach production.
Efforts to streamline the process are underway, as the National Mining Association (NMA) started advocating for the revival of the Bureau of Mines, which has been dormant since 1996. The NMA believes this could expedite the permitting process and improve efficiency in mine development.
However, concerns remain about potential bureaucratic bloat. In a recent <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/commodities/24/07/39797778/exclusive-american-pacific-ceo-discusses-rio-tinto-partnership-junior-mining-trends-why-days-">interview</a> for Benzinga, Eric Saderholm,  American Pacific's (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/USDGF#OTC">USDGF</a>) managing director of exploration, expressed caution about this proposal.
&#8220;The Bureau of Mines has been gone for about 30 years. It could serve a purpose if it expedites permitting. But if it becomes just another bureaucratic layer, then it doesn&#8217;t help. It really depends on who you put in that bureau," he said.

US Mine Development Delays Among World's Longest, Second Only To Zambia

EV giant Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) has crossed an important milestone on the way to rolling out its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/24/07/39870013/elon-musk-reacts-as-rapper-meek-mill-flexes-his-all-black-cybertruck-ahead-of-his-new-song-">stainless steel Cybertruck </a>in the neighboring country of Canada. 
What Happened: Canada granted the EV maker approval to use its steel-by-wire system in the country as required for testing. The technology, which does not meet the country&#8217;s specification for minimum steering angle, is only available on the company&#8217;s Cybertruck and not on any of its other offerings.
Tesla, however, will have to provide detailed semi-annual incident reports starting on January 18, the government said, while also meeting other regulatory demands.
&#8220;An important milestone on our way to Canada,&#8221; Cybertruck lead engineer Wes Morrill said about the green light from the Canadian government.
