On Thursday, NovoCure Ltd (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVCR#NASDAQ">NVCR</a>) reported a fourth-quarter loss of 61 cents, down from the 45-cent loss reported a year ago, missing the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus loss of 34 cents</a>.
Sales increased 21% year over year to $161.27 million, beating the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/b44002398/novocure-reports-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-2024-financial-results-and-provides-company-update" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus of $157.81 million</a>.
<ul>
<li>The U.S., Germany, France and Japan contributed $107.2 million, $17.4 million, $15.7 million and $8.5 million in quarterly net revenues, respectively, with other active markets contributing $10.4 million.</li>
<li>Revenue in Greater China from Novocure's partnership with Zai Lab totaled $2.0 million.</li>

<li>In quantum computing, whisper numbers were very high compared to the consensus for IONQ Inc (IONQ).  IONQ reported inline with the consensus.  IONQ is also making a CEO transition, in addition to announcing a $500M at-the-market equity offering.</li>

In the early trade, money flows are positive in Amazon (AMZN), Nvidia (NVDA), Alphabet Inc Class C (GOOG), Meta Platforms Inc (META), and Tesla Inc (TSLA).

In the early trade, money flows were positive in SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1 (QQQ), but as of this writing in the premarket, they have turned negative.

On Thursday, Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AUPH#NASDAQ">AUPH</a>) reported fourth-quarter earnings of 1 cent per share, compared to a loss of 19 cents a year ago and the consensus loss of 2 cents.
The biopharma company reported fourth-quarter sales of $59.9 million, up 33% year over year, almost in line with the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/b44000822/aurinia-pharmaceuticals-reports-financial-results-for-the-three-and-twelve-months-ended-december-3" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus of $59.9 million</a>.

<li>Net product sales of LUPKYNIS, the first FDA-approved oral therapy for active lupus nephritis, were $57.6 million, up 36%.</li>

For 2024, net product sales were $216.2 million, up 36%, within the management guidance of <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/11/b41800433/aurinia-pharmaceuticals-reports-third-quarter-and-nine-months-2024-financial-and-operational-resul" rel="noreferrer noopener">$210 million-$220&nbsp;million</a>.
The company reported an operating loss of $1.67 million compared to $29.7 million a year ago.
Aurinia reported a net income of $1.43 million, better than the loss of $26.9 million.
Aurinia CEO Peter Greenleaf expects 2025 to be &#8220;an exciting year&#8221; for the company when it comes to increasing LUPKYNIS's adoption. Plans are also in place to advance AUR200, which has the potential to treat &#8220;a wide range of autoimmune diseases,&#8221; he adds.
Guidance: Aurinia expects fiscal year revenue of $250 million-$260 million versus the consensus of $274.4 million.

Autoimmune Disease-Focused Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Reports Quarterly Profit, Revenue Outlook Below Expectations

eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EBAY#NASDAQ">EBAY</a>) shares are trading lower on Thursday following fourth-quarter results and soft first-quarter <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/02/43992431/ebay-shares-slide-after-q4-results-soft-q1-revenue-guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">revenue guidance reported on Wednesday</a>.
The company reported earnings per share of&nbsp;$1.25, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of&nbsp;$1.20, and revenue of&nbsp;$2.579 billion marginally exceeded the analyst <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus estimate of&nbsp;$2.571 billion</a>.
The company sees first-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.32-$1.36, versus the $1.33 estimate, and revenue of $2.52 billion-$2.56 billion, versus the $2.59 billion estimate.
Needham analyst Bernie McTernan reiterated a Buy rating and a price target of $72.
The analyst writes that fourth-quarter results slightly exceeded his expectations. Guidance for 2025 led to minor downward adjustments to his estimates.
eBay continues to outperform other marketplace peers in the coverage, marking its third consecutive quarter of positive gross merchandise value (GMV) growth despite a challenging macroeconomic environment, especially in the U.K. and Germany, adds the analyst.
The analyst now expects GMV growth to remain flat in 2025 vs. previous projection of modest growth owing to a greater foreign exchange headwind.
McTernan says that eBay's core business remains strong, with focus categories growing 6% year-over-year in the fourth quarter, reinforcing the company's path toward sustainable and profitable growth.
As a result, the analyst lowered 2025 estimates for revenue, GMV, and adjusted EBITDA by 0.3%, 1.6%, and 2.4%, respectively, reflecting broader macroeconomic uncertainty, potential tariff impacts, and short-term revenue pressure from the U.K. C2C initiative.
Several analysts revised the price forecast on the stock:
