Chinese EV giant BYD Co Ltd (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) overtook its American rival Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) in the fourth quarter of 2023 as the world&#8217;s biggest battery electric vehicle seller. 'Godfather Of EVs' Warns Against Hybrid Focus As China Leads EV Race: 'Tariffs Just Make Indigenous Industry Lazy'

Japanese auto giant Toyota Motor Corp&#8216;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TM#NYSE">TM</a>) Toyota and Lexus brand vehicle sales in North America rose 4.1% year-on-year in November to 241,662 units even as production in the region was more or less flat as compared to the corresponding period last year.

Why It Matters: The Tesla Shanghai megafactory is the company's first factory dedicated to the production of energy storage products outside the U.S.&nbsp;Currently, Tesla has only one other factory dedicated to manufacturing megapacks, located in Lathrop, California. Israel&#8217;s securities regulator&nbsp;granted approval for six investment houses to launch hedge funds tracking Bitcoin&#8217;s (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) price on New Year&#8217;s Eve, local media reported Wednesday.
What Happened: The funds are all set to launch on Dec. 31, the last&nbsp;trading day of the year, after getting the regulatory go-ahead from the&nbsp;Israel Securities Authority, <a href="https://www.calcalistech.com/ctechnews/article/h1mzzvkhyx">according </a>to financial news platform Calcalist and Globes.
Some funds will align with BlackRock&#8217;s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IBIT#NASDAQ">IBIT</a>) while others will follow the index launched by S&amp;P&nbsp;or the Chicago Stock Exchange.&nbsp;One fund plans to adopt an active strategy, aiming to outperform Bitcoin&#8217;s price performance.
The funds will be offered by Ayalon, IBI, Meitav, More, Migdal Capital Markets, and Phoenix, with management fees in the range of 0.25%-1.25%.

McDonald's Evangelion Collaboration Advert Catches Elon Musk's Eye. Here's What The Techno King Shared

Equinor ASA&nbsp;(NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EQNR#NYSE">EQNR</a>) and&nbsp;EQT Corporation&nbsp;(NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EQT#NYSE">EQT</a>) shares are trading lower after the companies&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/04/n38245950/eqt-announces-non-operated-asset-transaction-with-equinor" rel="noreferrer noopener">signed an asset sale agreement</a>.



EQT inked a deal with Equinor USA Onshore Properties and their affiliates to sell an undivided 40% stake in its non-operated natural gas assets in Northeast Pennsylvania for $500 million of cash and upstream and midstream assets.



The assets represent around 225 MMcf/d of forecasted 2025 net production.&nbsp;&nbsp;



The assets EQT will receive in the transaction include ~26,000 net acres in Monroe County, Ohio (2025 net production of ~135 MMcfe/d) and ~10,000 net acres in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania (2025 net production of ~15 MMcfe/d in existing EQT-operated assets).



Based on recent strip pricing, EQT forecasts an aggregate FY25 free cash flow of about $75 million from&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">the non-cash consideration</a>.



The deal is expected to close in the late second quarter of 2024, subject to customary closing conditions. EQT expects no cash tax leakage related to the transaction.&nbsp;



EQT President and CEO Toby Z. Rice said, &#8220;This transaction marks an extremely positive start to our divestiture program, bringing in over $1.1 billion of value, including synergies and development plan optimization, for 40% of our non-operated assets, while retaining gas price upside.&#8221;&nbsp;
