Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSTR#NASDAQ">MSTR</a>) has expanded its Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) holdings with a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/insights/options/25/02/43594268/microstrategys-options-frenzy-what-you-need-to-know">significant new purchase</a>, acquiring 7,633 BTC for approximately $742.4 million at an average price of $97,255 per Bitcoin.
What Happened: The <a href="https://www.strategy.com/press/strategy-acquires-7633-btc-and-now-holds-478740-btc_02-10-2025">acquisition</a>, made between Feb. 3 and Feb. 9, was funded through proceeds from stock sales under its $21 billion equity offering program and its recently completed $563.4 million preferred stock offering.
With this latest purchase, Strategy now holds a total of 478,740 BTC, acquired at an average cost of $65,033 per Bitcoin.
Michael Saylor, Strategy's co-founder and executive chairman, has remained vocal about the company's long-term commitment to Bitcoin, often describing it as the best store of value in the digital age.

Corporate America is cheering the strongest earnings season in three years, with S&amp;P 500 companies posting a 16.4% year-over-year earnings growth rate in fourth quarter of 2024—the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets">best since late 2021. </a>
Yet, despite the robust numbers, investor optimism is tempered by renewed trade uncertainty. 
President Donald Trump's tariff plans have become a dominant theme on earnings calls, raising concerns about rising costs and supply chain disruptions.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Earnings Surge: S&amp;P 500 Posts Strongest Growth Since 2021</h3>
The S&amp;P 500's blended earnings growth rate for fourth quarter 2024 stands at 16.4%, according to FactSet&#8216;s latest data, significantly outpacing initial forecasts. If this number holds, it will mark the strongest annual earnings growth since the fourth quarter of 2021.
So far, 62% of S&amp;P 500 companies have reported earnings, with 77% surpassing earnings-per-share estimates and 63% exceeding revenue forecasts. The average earnings surprise stands at 7.5%, comfortably above the 10-year average of 6.7%.
The average earnings surprise was 7.5%, below the 5-year average of 8.5% but above the 10-year one of 6.7%.
FactSet highlighted that the earnings outlook has improved as more companies report results. 
&#8220;On Dec. 31, the estimated (year-over-year) earnings growth rate for the S&amp;P 500 for Q4 2024 was 11.8%. Eight sectors are reporting higher earnings today (compared to December 31) due to positive EPS surprises,&#8221; FactSet wrote. 
Among the standout sectors and companies:
<ul>
<li>Financials: Earnings soared 51.2%, led by strong bank results from Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GS#NYSE">GS</a>) and JPMorgan Chase &amp; Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JPM#NYSE">JPM</a>).</li>
<li>Consumer Discretionary: Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) fueled 24.6% sector growth after reporting EPS of $1.86, well above the $1.49 estimate.</li>
<li>Communication Services: Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>) led 30.2% growth, posting EPS of $8.02, smashing expectations of $6.76.</li>
</ul>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tariff Fears Surge as Key Business Concern</h2>
While earnings have surprised to the upside, 146 S&amp;P 500 companies have mentioned "tariffs" during their earnings calls—the highest number since mid-2019, according to FactSet. 
If the current trend continues, the fourth quarter of 2024 could set a 10-year record for the number of companies discussing tariff-related concerns.
Industrials have been at the center of the discussion, with 39 companies citing tariff risks. The materials and utilities sectors have also been hit hard, with more than 80% of companies in these industries addressing the issue.
With Trump imposing a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/25/02/43592144/us-steel-aluminum-stocks-rally-as-trump-revives-25-tariff-plan">25% tariff on steel and aluminum imports</a> and hinting at reciprocal tariffs on all countries, businesses are struggling to gauge the potential impact. 
Some executives have warned of higher costs, supply chain disruptions, and margin pressure, but many remain uncertain about the ultimate financial toll.
Among the S&amp;P 500 firms providing forward guidance, 30 have chosen to exclude tariff effects altogether due to the unpredictable nature of trade policy, while 21 have incorporated tariff risks into their outlooks but widened their forecast ranges to account for potential volatility.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Muted Market Reaction Despite Strong Earnings</h3>
Despite the stellar earnings reports, stock price reactions have been subdued. Companies that beat EPS estimates have seen their stock prices rise by just 0.3% on average, well below the five-year average of 1.0%. 
Meanwhile, stocks missing estimates have dropped 2.4%, slightly worse than the five-year average decline of 2.3%.
&#8220;To date, the market is rewarding positive earnings surprises reported by S&amp;P 500 companies for Q4 less than average and punishing negative earnings surprises reported by S&amp;P 500 companies for Q4 slightly more than average,&#8221; FactSet wrote.
The uncertainty surrounding tariffs may be playing a role in this muted reaction. 
Investors, while encouraged by strong earnings, appear hesitant to fully price in optimism amid concerns over potential disruptions to supply chains and rising input costs.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Looking Ahead: Will Tariffs Derail Growth?</h3>
Wall Street analysts currently expect S&amp;P 500 earnings to grow 8.7% in the first quarter of 2025 and 10.2% in the second quarter. Yet, those forecasts could come under pressure if tariffs begin to weigh on corporate margins and consumer demand.
For now, corporate America is delivering some of the strongest earnings growth in years, but the real test may come in the months ahead as trade tensions escalate.

Rockwell Automation, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ROK#NYSE">ROK</a>) shares surged after the company reported <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/b43588368/rockwell-automation-reports-first-quarter-2025-results" rel="noreferrer noopener">better-than-expected first-quarter results.</a>
Sales fell 8.4% year over year and slid 7.6% organically to $1.881 billion, in line with the consensus of $1.881 billion.
Segment Details: Intelligent Devices sales declined 13.1% to $806 million, Software &amp; Control fell 12.4% to $529 million, and Lifecycle Services rose 5% to $546 million.
Total ARR grew 11%. Adjusted EPS was $1.83 (-10% YoY), <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">above the analyst consensus of $1.59.</a>
Total segment operating earnings for the quarter fell 10% year-over-year to $321 million. Segment operating margin declined slightly to 17.1% from 17.3%, impacted by lower sales volume, though partially offset by cost reductions and margin expansion efforts.
Operating cash flow was $364 million, up from $33 million year over year. Free cash flow reached $293 million, compared to a $35 million outflow last year. The increase was mainly due to no payout of incentive compensation in the&nbsp;first quarter&nbsp;of fiscal 2025 related to fiscal 2024 performance.
&#8220;From a demand perspective, we are encouraged by better-than-expected order performance in the quarter with sequential growth across all regions and business segments. While there is still some macroeconomic and policy uncertainty weighing on customers' capex plans, Rockwell won multi-million dollar strategic orders across key industries, especially in the U.S., our home market,&#8221; commented Blake Moret, Chairman and CEO.
&#8220;Q1 margins and EPS came in well above our expectations this quarter, reflecting some early benefits of Rockwell&#8217;s renewed focus on operational excellence and cost discipline,&#8221; added Moret.
The company repurchased 0.4 million shares for $99 million during the quarter. As of December 31, $1.2 billion remained under existing repurchase authorizations.
Return on Invested Capital for the twelve months ended December 31, 2024, was 14.5%, down from 18.5% in the prior year, primarily due to lower pre-tax net income.
FY25 Outlook updates: Rockwell continues to expect adjusted EPS of $8.60 – $9.80 versus the $9.40 estimate.
The company lowered sales midpoint expectations to ~$8.1 billion from the prior view of ~$8.2 billion <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">versus the $8.225 billion estimate.</a>
The company updated fiscal 2025 reported sales growth range to (5.5)% &#8211; 0.5% due to ~(1.5)% FX impact to sales, reaffirmed organic sales growth range of (4)% &#8211; 2%.

The project management software&nbsp;company&#8217;s&nbsp;adjusted EPS of $1.08 beat the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst consensus estimate of $0.79</a>. The&nbsp;stock price climbed after the results.

They also highlighted that the company doubled down on its AI efforts, focusing on AI Blocks, Product Power-ups, and a new Digital Workforce of AI Agents for 2025. They expect AI to be a game-changer for their customers, giving them the ability to transform their workflows and scale faster than ever before.
Outlook:&nbsp;Monday.com expects fiscal first-quarter 2025 revenue of $274 million—$274.32&nbsp;million (versus the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus of $246.1 million</a>) and an adjusted operating margin of 9%–10%.
Monday.com expects 2025 revenue of $1.208 billion—$1.221 billion, against the consensus of $1.210 billion, and an adjusted operating margin of 11%–12%.
Monday.com stock surged over 57% in the last 12 months. At least four Wall Street firms reduced their price target on the stock in 2025. However, Citigroup <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/MNDY/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">upgraded its rating</a> from Neutral to Buy, and Cantor Fitzgerald initiated coverage on the stock with an Overweight.
