Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/aapl#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) has reported a remarkable surge in its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/best-place-to-sell-iphone/">iPhone</a> exports from India, with the figures for April nearly doubling to $1.1 billion, up from $580 million in the previous year.
As reported by The Economic Times, this robust start has stimulated predictions that Apple&#39;s exports could surpass the $13&nbsp;billion mark, potentially promoting India to be the second-largest <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/best-place-to-sell-iphone/">iPhone</a> manufacturing hub following China. Currently, around 14-15% of Apple&rsquo;s total iPhone production takes place in India, with estimates projecting a rise to 26% by 2026.
In FY2024, Apple&#39;s total production in India reached $14 billion, with exports making up over $10 billion. This represents the highest annual export value by any company in India.

Apple operates through its contract manufacturers Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron, all of which benefit from India&#39;s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme. Foxconn is leading the way in exports, managing more than 70% of the shipments. Wistron, now owned by Tata Group, and Pegatron, currently in discussions for a majority stake sale to Tata, also contribute significantly.
April&#39;s surge indicates that Apple might surpass the fourth-year targets of the PLI scheme. While Apple and a few other companies, such as Samsung and Dixon Technologies, consistently meet PLI targets, many beneficiaries grapple with achieving their set goals. Meanwhile, Apple&rsquo;s market presence in India is steadily increasing, with a 38% YoY growth and aspirations to elevate its local market share into double digits from around 7% in FY24.

Several used Cybertrucks are being listed for sale online at a premium, despite EV giant Tesla Inc&#8216;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/03/37413825/after-porsche-ford-reportedly-buys-a-cybertruck-for-a-huge-premium-tesla-ceo-elon-musk-thinks-its-wo">attempts to curb the resale</a> of its latest offering.
What Happened: While there are over 145 used Cybertrucks listed on the car shopping website CarGurus, Kelly Blue Book shows about 125. The high number of Cybertrucks listed for resale was first <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/brookecrothers/2024/05/12/used-tesla-cybertruck-market-grows---but-that-price/?sh=41f33f137209">reported </a>by Forbes. 
A new Cybertruck currently starts at $79,990 for its all-wheel drive version and $99,990 for its higher-end Cyberbeast version. On ordering the vehicles now, customers can get them delivered only in 2025, ensuring demand and higher prices for even used Cybertrucks. 
While many of these used Cybertrucks are priced at over $150,000, a few are priced even over $200,000. Most of these vehicles have traveled only a few miles, with some listed with a mileage lower than even 100 miles.
Tesla started delivering Cybertrucks in late November. According to data from automotive research company Kelley Blue Book, Tesla sold 2,803 Cybertrucks in the first quarter in the United States. 
Earlier this year, it was reported that used Cybertrucks were resold for even $250,000. The resale value of the vehicle has <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/03/37888605/cyberflop-teslas-electric-truck-resale-market-reportedly-crashes-after-early-hype-for-anyone-paying">dropped since</a>, possibly due to production scaling up. Tesla plans to deliver 250,000 Cybertrucks per year, starting in 2025.
Tesla&#8217;s Attempts At Preventing Resale: A clause within Tesla's motor vehicle agreement prohibits buyers from <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/23/12/36039263/did-tesla-overpromise-and-underdeliver-with-the-cybertruck" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">reselling the Cybertruck </a>within a year of taking delivery. If a buyer still wants to sell, they must inform the company in writing and Tesla will buy it back from the driver. 
Even if Tesla does not agree to buy back the vehicle, the driver will still need written consent from Tesla to resell to a third party, as per the clause. In case of breach of the said clause, the buyers could be charged a penalty of $50,000 or more.

Annual Dividend Policy and Declaration of 2023 Dividend
On&nbsp;May 11, 2024, the Company&#39;s board of directors adopted an annual cash dividend policy, under which the Company may choose to declare and distribute a cash dividend each year in accordance with the memorandum and articles of association of the Company and applicable laws and regulations. Under the policy, the Company&#39;s board of directors determines whether to make dividend distributions and the amount of such distributions in any particular year, depending on the Company&#39;s operations and earnings, cash flow, financial condition, and other relevant factors.
Accordingly, on the same day, for the fiscal year of 2023, the Company&#39;s board of directors declared a cash dividend of&nbsp;US$0.0685&nbsp;per ordinary share, or&nbsp;US$0.1370&nbsp;per ADS, to holders of record of ordinary shares and ADSs as of the close of business on&nbsp;May 31, 2024. Meta Platforms Inc.'s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>) Chief AI Scientist, Yann LeCun, took to X, formerly Twitter, expressing his disagreement with <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/03/37448936/would-you-open-source-the-manhattan-project-vinod-khosla-and-marc-andreessen-clash-over-musks-openai">OpenAI's </a><a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/03/37448936/would-you-open-source-the-manhattan-project-vinod-khosla-and-marc-andreessen-clash-over-musks-openai">early investor</a>, Vinod Khosla.
What Happened: LeCun thinks that Khosla is a proponent of closed-source AI due to his financial motivations.

Khosla Ventures, founded by Vinod Khosla, is the first venture capital investor of OpenAI. In 2019, Khosla invested $50 million in OpenAI, making his largest bet by far in his 40-year history.
But LeCun thinks it's not just the financial factor that is behind Khosla's support for closed source AI. He thinks the China threat is playing a role, too.
"But I don&#8217;t think that his main reason to oppose open source frontier models. He is genuinely worried about China getting its hands on it," LeCun said.
However, he thinks Khosla's China concerns are "misguided."

He argues that Chinese AI scientists and engineers are talented and capable of innovating independently. LeCun also highlights that the Chinese government is more worried about losing control of AI technology than their counterparts in liberal democracies.
LeCun, who has been a vocal supporter of open-source AI, thinks these platforms are essential for a diverse and democratic future, where everyone has access to a wide variety of AI assistants.

The ongoing downturn in the cryptocurrency market has underscored the strength of the more established memecoins over the several new ones birthed during the memecoin frenzy earlier this year.
What Happened: According to popular cryptocurrency analyst Emperor Osmo, coins like Pepe (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/">PEPE</a>), Floki (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/">FLOKI</a>), and Dogecoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/doge/usd">DOGE</a>) notched up gains of 17%, 11%, and 8.5% respectively over the past two weeks.

At the same time, Solana's Popcat (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/">POPCAT</a>) slipped 0.83%, while Politi-Fi tokens like MAGA Coin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/">TRUMP</a>) and Jeo Boden (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/">BODEN</a>) underperformed, with the latter crashing 37% in the past two weeks. Pepe Fork (CRYPTO: PORK), created by forking PEPE, also remained underwhelming, with just over 3% gains in the aforementioned time period.
Observing the developments, Emperor Osmo wondered how the widely distributed meme tokens would behave when the market went up again. 
Why It Matters: &nbsp;The outperformance indicated the resilience and community support of the senior meme tokens, which had prior experience navigating bearish market situations.&nbsp;&nbsp;
In contrast, many of the newer memecoins <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/03/37450257/solanas-bonk-ppblz-popcat-join-memecoin-frenzy-led-by-doge-shiba-inu-as-bitcoin-nears-all-">were created in 2024</a> fueled by positive market expectations, and the current downturn was their first exposure to bearish conditions.
According to a post by popular cryptocurrency trader <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/community/post/336328764">AshCrypto</a> on CoinMarketCap, PEPE's price chart was "looking hot" and he was optimistic about the coin's prospects.
