In premarket trading on Wednesday, the SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) gained 0.37% to $605.24 and the Invesco QQQ ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QQQ#NASDAQ">QQQ</a>) rose 0.77% to $528.86, according to <a href="https://benzinga.grsm.io/lxquj26b2sag">Benzinga Pro data</a>.
Cues From Last Session:
U.S. stocks ended Tuesday on a positive note, with Dow Jones and S&amp;P 500 ending the day with major gains, while the Nasdaq closed 0.64% in the green.
Crude oil prices edged lower as traders await clarity about the new Trump administration's agenda.
Vistra Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VST#NYSE">VST</a>) and Oracle Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ORCL#NYSE">ORCL</a>) were among the top gainers on Tuesday, surging 8.48% and 7.17% during the session respectively.
On the economic data front, U.S. industrial production rose by 0.9% in December, ahead of estimates of a 0.3% increase. Housing starts rose by 15.8% from the previous month to an annualized rate of 1.499 million units in December.
Most sectors on the S&amp;P 500 closed on a positive note, with industrials, real estate, and healthcare stocks recording gains on Tuesday.
However, energy stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session lower.

Insights From Analysts:
Ryan Detrick, chief market strategist at Carson Global, underscored that there is a high possibility that 2025 could be a good year as far as equity markets are concerned.

In 2017, the first year of Trump's previous term, the Dow and S&amp;P 500 delivered a return of 19.4%. Likewise, in Biden's first year in office, the return stood at 26.9%.
Jeremy Siegel, Wharton professor and senior economist at WisdomTree, underscored the resilient U.S. economy and positive indicators going into 2025.
"The outlook for Q4 GDP growth is strong, with estimates ranging between 2.5% and 3%, a testament to the underlying strength of the economy as we transition into 2025," he said.
He also has a word of caution about the impact of Trump's tariff plans, but noted that they are "likely months away."
"The S&amp;P 500 thus far remains resilient, but I maintain my call for a correction this year as bond yields rise further, which could pressure valuations. This presents opportunities for less richly priced stocks, sectors, and strategies."

Certain law enforcement officials from California are seemingly impressed by Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) vehicles customized for police use by vehicle customizer Unplugged Performance. 
What Happened: Unplugged Performance in December held an event where law enforcement executives tried out the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/top-stories/24/04/38257550/tesla-model-y-enters-anaheim-police-fleet-in-new-pilot-initiative">Tesla vehicles upgraded</a> by the company. 
The officials drove the Tesla vehicles around at an EVOC facility and also compared it to a Ford Explorer PIU (Police Interceptor Utility SUV) with some concluding that the Tesla is way more fun to drive than the Explorer. 
Feedback From Law Enforcement Officials:&nbsp;&#8220;I think the difference between the two vehicles is just absolutely staggering. So after doing roughly you know 20/30 laps in the Tesla handling that course and then I jumped in the Explorer, did the same course, and I can tell you right off the bat I pretty much didn&#8217;t want to be in the Explorer anymore,&#8221; one of the officers said in the video premiered on YouTube on Tuesday.
An official, who had previously never driven a Tesla, said that the experience changed his perspective positively.
&#8220;I&#8217;d never driven one until today and I have a different mindset here at 2 p.m. than I did this morning at 6 a.m.,&#8221; he said. 
Why It Matters: Unplugged Performance,<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/06/39240046/tesla-customizer-upfits-cybertruck-for-the-police-forces-elon-musk-thinks-its-cool"> based out of California</a>, has been enhancing Tesla vehicles since 2013 and is located next to the company's design studio. 
According to Unplugged Performance, an upgraded Model Y AWD Patrol vehicle will cost $92,580, including upfitting costs, marginally higher than the Ford Police Interceptor Utility AWD Hybrid priced at $89,600.

German sportswear brand Adidas AG (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ADDYY#OTC">ADDYY</a>) has released its <a target="_blank" href="https://www.adidas-group.com/en/media/press-releases/adidas-finishes-successful-year-with-better-than-expected-fourth-quarter-results" rel="noreferrer noopener">preliminary </a>results for the fourth quarter of 2024.
The company&#8217;s revenue increased by 19% in currency-neutral terms, with a 24% rise in euro terms, totaling 5.97 billion euros (~$6.24 billion). Excluding <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/04/38511886/adidas-puts-yeezy-history-behind-rides-fashion-high-with-samba-and-gazelle-shoes" rel="noreferrer noopener">Yeezy sales from both years</a>, currency-neutral growth was 18%.
Additionally, the company saw a notable improvement in its gross margin, which grew by 520 basis points to 49.8%, up from 44.6% in 2023.
Fourth-quarter operating profit reached 57 million euros, reversing the 377 million euros loss recorded in the same quarter last year.
Adidas also posted strong growth for the full year 2024. Its revenue climbed 12% on a currency-neutral basis, reaching 23.68 billion euros. When excluding Yeezy sales, the company saw a 13% increase in currency-neutral revenues.

The gross margin for the year improved by 330 basis points, reaching 50.8%. Operating profit surged by over 1 billion euros, rising from 268 million euros in 2023 to 1.34 billion euros in 2024.
&#8220;We clearly see that consumers&#8217; and retailers&#8217; interest in our products is growing across both Lifestyle and Performance. Strong growth across all regions and divisions proves the good job our teams are doing across regions and functions,&#8221; said CEO Bjørn Gulden.
&#8220;We also feel good about the future, and we see potential to increase our market share in all markets. There is a lot of macroeconomic uncertainty right now, but we clearly have the goal to again grow double-digit with the adidas brand and use that growth to continue to improve our operating profit and make further progress towards our 10% margin target.&#8221;
Price Action: ADDYY shares closed higher by 6.59% at $132.22 on Tuesday.
