Israel&#8217;s securities regulator&nbsp;granted approval for six investment houses to launch hedge funds tracking Bitcoin&#8217;s (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) price on New Year&#8217;s Eve, local media reported Wednesday.
What Happened: The funds are all set to launch on Dec. 31, the last&nbsp;trading day of the year, after getting the regulatory go-ahead from the&nbsp;Israel Securities Authority, <a href="https://www.calcalistech.com/ctechnews/article/h1mzzvkhyx">according </a>to financial news platform Calcalist and Globes.
Some funds will align with BlackRock&#8217;s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IBIT#NASDAQ">IBIT</a>) while others will follow the index launched by S&amp;P&nbsp;or the Chicago Stock Exchange.&nbsp;One fund plans to adopt an active strategy, aiming to outperform Bitcoin&#8217;s price performance.
The funds will be offered by Ayalon, IBI, Meitav, More, Migdal Capital Markets, and Phoenix, with management fees in the range of 0.25%-1.25%.

The launch of&nbsp;Bitcoin mutual funds and ETFs&nbsp;is a result of persistent lobbying and&nbsp;requests by investment houses to&nbsp;the Securities Authority over the&nbsp;past two years, the report mentioned. The regulator only granted final approval last week, on the condition that all investment houses launch the products simultaneously.
The Israel Securities authority didn&#8217;t immediately respond to Benzinga&#8217;s request for confirmation.

Despite Trump&#8217;s claims, Panama&#8217;s President José Raúl Mulino has firmly rejected the notion, asserting that the canal is sovereign property of Panama.
Trump has also reiterated his 2019 desire to purchase Greenland, a Danish autonomous territory. He argues that Greenland&#8217;s strategic location in the Arctic and its natural resources are essential for U.S. national security. Though Greenland&#8217;s prime minister, Múte B. Egede, has rejected the idea, Trump&#8217;s public push continues.
The U.S. maintains a military base in Greenland, and Russia&#8217;s growing interest in the region adds to the geopolitical tension, BBC News adds.
While these comments might be seen as coercive, they highlight Trump&#8217;s focus on using U.S. power to safeguard its trade and security interests. It remains to be seen how these statements will affect U.S. foreign relations moving forward, especially with countries like Denmark and Panama.

PJUL added $268.7 million in net assets over the trailing week.

The Innovator S&amp;P 500 Power Buffer ETF seeks to track the return of the S&amp;P 500 Price Return Index up to a predetermined cap, 14.28%, while buffering investors against the first 15% of losses over the outcome period.&nbsp;

PJUL has $737.2 million in AUM and an expense ratio of 0.79%.&nbsp;

PJUL has added $161.85 billion in net assets YTD.

Direxion NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index Shares (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QQQE#NASDAQ">QQQE</a>)

QQQE added $262.82 million in net assets over the trailing week.

Direxion NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index Shares is tied to the NASDAQ-100, much like QQQ, the uber-popular ETF from Invesco. However, they differ greatly in their weighting methodologies. In contrast to the more popular market cap weighting of QQQ which tends to lead to a top heavy concentration, QQQE is equally distributed amongst the 102 holdings.

QQQE has $1.01 billion in AUM and an expense ratio of 0.35%. The fund has holdings in 102 companies, with the 10 largest comprising 11.19% of the fund.

The fund&rsquo;s largest holdings are Lucid Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LCID#NASDAQ">LCID</a>) and Sirius XM Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SIRI#NASDAQ">SIRI</a>) making up 1.24% and 1.20% of the fund, respectively.

QQQE has added $467.96 million in net assets YTD.

The United States Oil Fund LP (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/USO#NYSE">USO</a>)

USO has lost 116.47 million in net assets over the trailing week.

The US Oil Fund LP is tied to the daily changes of the Benchmark Oil Futures Contract. Its aim is to track within 10% the changes in NAV of Oil Futures.

The fund has $1.51 billion in AUM and an expense ratio of 0.81%.

LIT is down 422.21 million AUM YTD.

iShares Europe ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IEV#NYSE">IEV</a>)

IEV lost $110.89 million in net assets over the trailing week.

The iShares Europe ETF offers exposure to a broad swath of European securities. It is tied to the S&amp;P Europe 500 Index.

IEV has $1.65 billion in AUM and an expense ratio of 0.58%. The fund has holdings in 365 companies, with the 10 largest comprising 22.75% of the fund.

The fund&rsquo;s largest holdings are Nestle S.A. (SWX: NESN) and ASML Holding NV (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ASML#NASDAQ">ASML</a>) making up 3.2% and 2.89% of the fund, respectively.

IEV has lost $145.02 million in net assets YTD.
