(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) has reportedly withdrawn its most secure cloud storage service, Advanced Data Protection (ADP), from the UK after the British government <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/global/25/02/43554574/apple-faces-mounting-pressure-from-uk-government-to-grant-spying-access-to-encrypted-data-of-users-worldwide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">demanded secret access to user data</a>.
The decision follows an order under the UK&#8217;s Investigatory Powers Act, which would have required Apple to provide a &#8220;backdoor&#8221; to iPhone backups and cloud data, enabling law enforcement to access information otherwise protected by encryption, The Financial Times reports.
The company stated that it could no longer offer ADP to new UK users, and current users would eventually be forced to disable the feature, the report further noted, citing a statement from Apple.
Since the service was introduced in December 2022, British Apple users had to opt in to benefit from the advanced security.

On the flip side, the number of people labeling the economy as &#8220;poor&#8221; dropped from 40% to 33%, with a notable increase in those describing conditions as &#8220;only fair,&#8221; which now stands at 45%, up from 33% last month.

The Consumer Sentiment Index fell from 71.7 in January to 64.7 in February.
This sharp decrease is largely attributed to consumer concerns over tariff hikes and their potential impact on inflation, The Hill <a target="_blank" href="https://thehill.com/business/5157665-consumer-confidence-dips-in-trumps-first-month-as-tariff-threats-drive-inflation-fears/" rel="noreferrer noopener">reports</a>.
In early February, President Donald Trump approved a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada, which were eventually delayed after both countries took steps to curb the flow of drugs at their borders.
Additionally, Trump imposed a 10% tariff on Chinese imports, raised aluminum tariffs to 25%, and reinstated the full power of steel tariffs. These actions sparked worries about rising inflation, with inflation expectations for the next year jumping from 3.3% to 4.3%, while long-term inflation expectations increased from 3.2% to 3.5%.
Alongside the rise in inflation expectations, the consumer price index also showed an uptick, rising 3% year-over-year in January, up from 2.9% in December.
This marked the fourth consecutive month of inflation growth, The Hill adds.
The survey also revealed a partisan split in consumer sentiment. Both Democrats and independents saw a decline in sentiment, while Republicans&#8217; views remained largely unchanged.
Similarly, inflation expectations rose among Democrats and independents but fell slightly for Republicans.

What Happened:&nbsp;According to the report, Lazarus Group, a state-sponsored hacking organization from North Korea, is believed to have pilfered&nbsp;over $1.4 billion worth of&nbsp;Ethereum and related tokens from Bybit last Friday. 
This suspicion was drawn from on-chain data analysis that linked the activity to previous attacks associated with the Lazarus Group.
The link was established by an anonymous on-chain investigator known as ZachXBT, who has a history of solving numerous crypto hacks. His report included a detailed analysis of test transactions, connected wallets used before the exploit, and several forensic graphs and timing analyses, reports <a href="https://decrypt.co/307304/north-korea-lazarus-group-bybit-hack-arkham">reports</a> Decrypt.
Arkham Intelligence&nbsp;had previously announced a bounty of nearly $30,000 in ARKM tokens for information leading to the identification of the hackers behind the massive Bybit hack. The hack not only impacted Bybit but also sent shockwaves through the crypto markets.

Low interest rates, investors&#39; thirst for above-average yields and heavily domestic revenue streams are among the reasons real estate investment trusts and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/long-ideas/19/09/14439807/why-5g-is-meaningful-for-this-high-flying-real-estate-etf">the related exchange traded funds</a> are thriving this year.

As a sector, real estate is small in terms of weight in the S&amp;P 500, but mighty in another: defensive traits and that&#39;s another reason why investors have flocking to the group this year. The MSCI US REIT Index, one of the most widely real estate benchmarks, is up more than 25% year to date, beating the S&amp;P 500 by more than 800 basis points.

Though it was just one day, Monday was a microcosm of that theme. Just nine ETFs hit record highs, but seven of those funds were real estate products.

Let&#39;s look at a trio of REIT ETFs ascending into the prestigious all-time high club.

<h3>FlexShares Global Quality Real Estate Index Fund (GQRE)</h3>

The FlexShares Global Quality Real Estate Index Fund (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="/stock/GQRE#NYSE">GQRE</a>) has been a steady performer this year, beating the S&amp;P 500 by almost 100 basis points while lobbing off a dividend yield of nearly 2.80%.

GQRE, which debuted in November 2013, tracks the Northern Trust Global Quality Real Estate Index. Most real estate indexes are cap-weighted, but GQRE is fundamentally-weighted and one of the traits the benchmark emphasizes is quality. That&#39;s a potentially rewarding trait due to the fact real estate companies typically carry large amounts of debt. GQRE&#39;s methodology can help investors steer clear of financially strained firms and stick with solid names with dividend growth potential.

Additionally, GQRE allocates about 40% of its weight to ex-U.S. REITs, meaning the fund is levered to declining interest rates in and outside of the U.S.

<h3>Fundamental Income Net Lease Real Estate ETF (NETL)</h3>

The Fundamental Income Net Lease Real Estate ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="/stock/NETL#NYSE">NETL</a>) is one of the newer funds in the REIT fray, having debuted in late March. Rookie status aside, NETL has been an impressive performer in its just over six months on the market, gaining 12.19%.

NETL &ldquo;encompasses a variety of REITs that provide sustainable cash flows by leasing their properties through long-term contractual leases on a triple-net lease basis,&rdquo; <a href="http://www.netleaseetf.com/">according to the issuer</a>. &ldquo;The leases have terms that are generally 10 years or longer, predetermined rental rate increases&nbsp;and minimal landlord responsibilities.&rdquo;

Net lease REITs are highly defensive by industry standards, but offer robust income potential. Bottom line: NETL provides investors with the positive traits REITs are known while addressing a corner of the sector often overlooked by traditional funds in this group.

<h3>U.S. Diversified Real Estate ETF (PPTY)</h3>

The U.S. Diversified Real Estate ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="/stock/PPTY#NYSE">PPTY</a>) focuses on several prominent themes germane to real estate, including location and leverage.

&ldquo;This distinct approach allows PPTY to build a portfolio of REITs that delivers the consistent property type and geographic diversification that real estate investors typically seek. Leverage and governance criteria are further included to reduce exposure to high-risk companies,&rdquo; <a href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20190211005051/en/Vident-Financial's-U.S.-Diversified-Real-Estate-ETF">according to a statement from Atlanta-based Vident</a>.

Further eschewing cap weighting, PPTY also emphasizes property and governance to go along with leverage and location to construct a smart beta portfolio of REITs. The methodology works as highlighted by a year-to gain of almost 27%.

Investors have dozens of exchange-traded funds to consider when looking for exposure to real estate investment trusts. Most of these funds use traditional cap-weighted approaches, but a new real estate ETF emphasizes another factor: location.
Vident Financial introduced the U.S. Diversified Real Estate ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="/stock/PPTY#NYSE">PPTY</a>) on Tuesday. The new ETF follows the U.S. Diversified Real Estate Index. PPTY &ldquo;uses data on the individual properties held by each company in the investment universe to build a portfolio diversified by location and property type. Leverage and governance factors are further included to reduce exposure to higher risk companies,&rdquo; according to <a href="https://pptyetf.com/">Vident Financial</a>.
None of PPTY&#39;s holdings exceed weights of 3.5 percent and the rookie ETF&#39;s top 10 holdings combine for just 26.2 percent <a href="https://pptyetf.com/static/sitepages/pdf/PPTY_Factsheet.pdf">of the fund&#39;s weight</a>.

	Lucrative Markets </h3>
Location matters with real estate investments, a theme PPTY delivers to investors. The new ETF also focuses on property and leverage, factors many traditional real estate ETFs gloss over.
&ldquo;The factors that matter when investing in real estate are no secret,&rdquo; said Fred Stoops, head of real estate investments at Vident. &ldquo;Yet they&rsquo;re ignored by the traditional cap-weighted approach, which today has over 95% of REIT ETF assets. With the launch of PPTY, we&rsquo;re looking to give investors access to a better solution: a rules-based fund that delivers diversified exposure to U.S. real estate.&rdquo;
The top 10 markets featured in PPTY, which combine for 55.6 percent of the ETF&#39;s weight, include New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. Other lucrative and fast-growing markets featured in PPTY include San Francisco, San Jose, Boston and Houston.
PPTY allocates 19 percent of its weight to residential REITs, 17.5 percent to office REITs, 14.5 percent to industrial REITs and a combined 22 percent to retail and hotel REITs.

	Other Factors</h3>
Leverage and corporate governance matter in PPTY&#39;s stock selection process.
&ldquo;PPTY reduces allocations to companies with high debt in favor of firms with strong balance sheets,&rdquo; according to Vident. &ldquo;PPTY excludes companies with two governance risk factors&mdash;external management and a minority of their shares publicly listed.&rdquo;
The new ETF charges 0.53 percent per year, or $53 on a $10,000 investment.
