The Fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing in fixed income instruments, whereby issuers borrow money from investors in return for either a fixed or variable rate of interest and eventual repayment of the amount borrowed. The Fund invests, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its investable assets in fixed income instruments with varying maturities. The term investable assets refers to the Funds net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes. The Funds investable assets will be less than its total assets to the extent that it has borrowed money for non-investment purposes, such as to meet anticipated redemptions. South Korea&#8217;s opposition-controlled National Assembly voted to impeach acting President Han Duck-soo on Friday, only two weeks after impeaching<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42702766/us-stocks-open-lower-nasdaq-down-over-1"> President Yoon Suk Yeol. </a>
South Korean stocks listed in the U.S. have faced significant volatility due to the recent political turmoil. The iShares MSCI South Korea ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EWY#NYSE">EWY</a>), which tracks over 90 large and mid-sized South Korean companies, tumbled as much as 7% earlier in December to hit a 52-week low amid the political crisis. 
Shares of Coupang, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CPNG#NYSE">CPNG</a>), South Korea's largest e-commerce platform, have fallen more than 12% over the past month. KB Financial Group Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KB#NYSE">KB</a>), one of the country's largest financial institutions, is down by more than 9% over the same period. 
South Korea's currency has fallen amid the uncertainty to lows against the U.S. dollar not reached since the global financial crisis 15 years ago. 
The current political crisis began on Dec. 3 when President Yoon declared martial law, leading to his impeachment on Dec. 14. Prime Minister Han then assumed the role of acting president. 
The impeachment of acting President Han on Friday came after he refused to appoint three judges to the Constitutional Court which casts the final vote on presidential impeachments in the country.&nbsp;

Friday's impeachment of President Han "suggests to the world the possibility that Korea's political unrest could be prolonged and worsen," Jeong Hoiok, a professor of political science at Myoungji University in Seoul, told the New York Times in an email.&nbsp;
The second impeachment could cause "significant harm to the diplomacy and economic status that Korea has built so far," Hoiok added.&nbsp;
What's Next: Friday's impeachment of acting President Han leaves the country without its top two officials and puts Finance Minister Choi Sang-mok next in line to assume the acting presidency.&nbsp;
"The most important thing right now is to minimize the confusion in state affairs," Mr. Choi said. "The government will do its best to stabilize them."

But success isn't always as glamorous as it seems. "I knew my life was going to change forever," Webb told CNBC Make It. What followed, however, wasn't just Champagne and celebrations. "Everything was starting to unravel for me personally," she admitted.
Seven years into running Drybar, Webb's personal life hit a breaking point. Her marriage to cofounder Cameron Webb ended after 16 years. Her mother lost a battle with cancer. To make matters worse, her teenage son struggled with addiction and entered rehab.
"Am I ruining my family? Our lives?" Webb recalled asking herself during this turbulent period, as described in her recent book The Messy Truth.

Like many entrepreneurs, Webb threw herself into her work, using it as a buffer against emotional pain. Drybar's runaway success distracted her from dealing with the cracks in her personal life.&nbsp;
"We distract ourselves when we don't want to deal with stuff," she said, reflecting on those years. But as the pressures mounted, so did the toll on her mental health. In 2018, she hit <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/startups/24/12/42487831/this-ceos-journey-from-rock-bottom-to-100m-success-i-hated-my-job-quit-in-secret-and-built-showpo-over-glasses-of-red-wine">rock bottom</a>, a chapter she described as her "Great Depression."

"Talking it through with somebody is a big deal," Webb said, adding that writing down her feelings helped her process emotions and find relief. "Get that stuff out of your head and onto paper," she advised. "It's so alleviating."
Today, Webb still juggles entrepreneurial roles – she cofounded the massage startup Squeeze and serves as president of Canopy, a humidifier brand – but she's no longer chasing success at the expense of her well-being.&nbsp;
"I could never see myself working myself into the ground [again] the way I did when we were growing Drybar," she told CNBC Make It. Her leadership philosophy has evolved as well.&nbsp;

On Friday, AerCap Holdings N.V. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AER#NYSE">AER</a>) announced that it has entered into a sale and leaseback agreement with TAAG Angola Airlines for one new Boeing Company (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BA#NYSE">BA</a>) <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/12/n42457283/aercap-signs-lease-agreements-for-two-boeing-737-aircraft-with-aloula-aviation" rel="noreferrer noopener">787-9 aircraft</a>.
The aircraft is set to be delivered to TAAG in February 2025 as part of the airline's ongoing fleet modernization efforts.
This transaction marks a significant milestone, as AerCap becomes the first lessor to introduce the Boeing 787 to TAAG.
Aengus Kelly, CEO of AerCap, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership, highlighting that the 787-9 will help TAAG expand its network across Africa, Europe, and Asia with one of the most fuel-efficient widebody aircraft available.
"As part of their fleet modernization program, the 787 will enable TAAG expand their network across&nbsp;Africa,&nbsp;Europe&nbsp;and&nbsp;Asia&nbsp;with one of the most fuel-efficient widebody aircraft on the market and support them in meeting customer demand," said Kelly.

Mukamalah Aviation Company, a subsidiary of Aramco, will operate the aircraft to transport Aramco Group <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/12/n42457283/aercap-signs-lease-agreements-for-two-boeing-737-aircraft-with-aloula-aviation" rel="noreferrer noopener">passengers in Saudi Arabia.</a>

Buffett Buys Disney Stock: Today, Disney (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIS#NYSE">DIS</a>) is one of the largest media companies in the world and collects billions of dollars from its<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42603589/disney-hits-2-billion-domestic-box-office-wins-top-honors-global-box-office-2025-to-grow-8-to-33b-analyst-says"> theatrical movie releases</a> and sectors like television, theme parks and streaming.
Back in 1966, when Buffett met with Disney co-founder Walt Disney, the company had its Disneyland theme park open in California but had not yet opened its Disney World in Florida, which is today one of the largest theme parks in the world.
Buffett's meeting with Disney is retold through a substack <a href="https://www.readtrung.com/p/buffetts-18b-miss-on-disney">post </a>from popular X <a href="https://x.com/TrungTPhan/status/1714065970384294043">poster </a>Trung Phan using a series of lectures from Notre Dame's MBA school.
"I went out to see Walt Disney. We sat down and he told me the whole plan for the company – he couldn't have been a nicer guy," Buffett said.
Buffett invested $4 million in Disney in 1966 thanks to that meeting, taking a 5% stake in Disney. Buffett said Disney probably would have been able to get a valuation of between $300 million and $400 million if they were a private company at the time and gone the venture capitalist route.
The legendary investor has said over the years there were several reasons for his investment in Disney, including the company's intellectual property.
"Mary Poppins had just come out. Mary Poppins made about $30 million that year, and seven years later you're going to show it to kids the same age. It's like having an oil well where all the oil seeps back in."
Buffett said that Disney had around 220 movies at the time including "Snow White," "Three Little Pigs" and "Fantasia. Despite potential value unlock from intellectual property, Disney wrote down the value of past films to $0.
"There were no residual values placed on the value of any Disney picture up through the 1960s."
Buffett also recalled the low valuation of Disney despite having the Disneyland theme park.
"The Pirates of the Caribbean ride had just been put in and it cost $17 million bucks."
Buffett couldn't believe that the company sold at "only 5x rides" at the time.
Despite the strong investment case laid out by Buffett, he sold the Disney stock a year later for $6 million, netting a profit of $2 million and a 50% gain. For Buffett's current long-term holding mentality, the short-term hold might have caused red flags for Disney stock back in 1967.

Buffett Buys Disney Stock Again: While Buffett sold Disney in 1967, he came back to the media giant years later. Buffett invested in Capital Cities in 1985 to help the media company finance its $3.5 billion acquisition of ABC.
Disney later bought Capital Cities/ABC for $19 billion, a deal that Buffett may have helped facilitate thanks to a meeting between Capital Cities CEO Tom Murphy and Disney CEO Michael Eisner, as recalled in the 1995 Berkshire annual <a href="https://www.berkshirehathaway.com/letters/1995.html">letter</a>.
Thanks to his ownership of Capital Cities stock at the time, Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway got a 3.6% stake in Disney when the merger between the two media companies closed in 1996.
Buffett held onto Disney shares longer this time before mostly selling the position by 2001. This second Disney stake was sold for over $1.5 billion and netted a profit of over 400%, as <a href="https://brk-b.com/berkshire-hathway-s-disney-journey_240427.html#:~:text=However%2C%20Buffett's%20decision%20to%20sell,in%20potential%20gains%201%204.">reported </a>by brk-b.com.
Buffett Admits Disney Sale Was a Mistake: Add up the 5% stake and 3.6% stake and Berkshire Hathaway could own 8.6% of Disney today if they had maintained Buffett's famous quote of "our favorite holding period is forever." &nbsp;
Buffett was asked about the Disney stock sale at the 1998 Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders <a href="https://buffett.cnbc.com/video/1998/05/04/afternoon-session---1998-berkshire-hathaway-annual-meeting.html">meeting </a>by an audience member.
The legendary investor recalled that many stocks he has sold have gone up since he exited, including the first stock he ever bought.
"Certainly the Disney sale in the ‘60s was a huge mistake. I should have been buying, forget about holding, and that happened many times," Buffett said.
Buffett said that sometimes he sells stock in one company to buy stock in another, but this doesn't mean that the company he sold stock in is a bad investment.
"I must say that selling the Disney was a mistake."
At the time of writing, Disney shares trade at $112.55 with a market capitalization of 203.8 billion. Buffett's original 5% stake in Disney would be worth around $10.19 billion and his combined 8.6% hypothetical stake would be worth $17.53 billion.
If Buffett had held all his Disney shares, the media company would be his fifth largest stock holding today, trailing only Apple ($77.7 billion), American Express ($46.1 billion), Bank of America ($34.1 billion) and Coca-Cola ($25.0 billion).
