PepGen Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PEPG#NASDAQ">PEPG</a>), a clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing the next generation of oligonucleotide therapies with the goal of transforming the treatment of severe neuromuscular and neurological diseases, today announced positive clinical data from the first dose cohort (5 mg/kg) of PGN-EDO51, its lead investigational candidate for patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) whose mutations are amenable to an exon 51-skipping approach. In the ongoing CONNECT1-EDO51 Phase 2 open-label trial, PGN-EDO51 demonstrated higher levels of exon skipping than previously reported studies with other oligonucleotide therapies at similar PMO dose levels in DMD patients. The Company also reported that change from baseline in total dystrophin production and muscle-adjusted dystrophin production was comparable to, or higher than, previously reported studies with other oligonucleotide therapies at similar PMO dose levels in DMD patients. First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FSLR#NASDAQ">FSLR</a>) reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results Tuesday. The Details: Quarterly sales came in at $1.01 billion, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $941.54 million by 7.27% and represents a 24.59% increase over sales from the same period last year. 
First Solar said the increase was primarily driven by an increase in the volume of modules sold and an increase in the average selling price per watt of its modules.
First Solar also reported quarterly earnings of $3.25 per share, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.72 by 19.49%.
Cash, cash equivalents, restricted cash, restricted cash equivalents and marketable securities, less debt at the end of the second quarter, decreased to $1.2 billion from $1.4 billion at the end of the prior quarter. The decrease was primarily a result of capital expenditures associated with the company&#8217;s new U.S. factories in Alabama and Louisiana along with the repayment of working capital loans in India, partially offset by increased operating cash flows from its modules business.

Technology giant Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>) reported fourth-quarter financial results after the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings">market close Tuesday.</a>
Here are the key highlights.
What Happened: Microsoft reported fourth-quarter revenue of $64.7 billion, up 15% year-over-year. The revenue total beat a Street consensus estimate of $64.36 billion, according to data <a href="http://www.benzinga.com/pro/register/?utm_source=BZprocontent073024&amp;t=be2bearmibe3na1">from Benzinga Pro.</a>
The company reported earnings per share of $2.95 in the fourth quarter, beating a Street consensus estimate of $2.92.
Intelligent Cloud segment revenue was $28.5 billion, up 19% year-over-year. Within the segment, server products and cloud services revenue was up 21% year-over-year. Azure and other cloud services revenue posted year-over-year growth of 29% in the segment.
The Azure growth missed expectations, according to Reuters, sending Microsoft stock lower in after-hours trading Tuesday.
Revenue in the Productivity and Business Processes segment was $20.3 billion, up 11% year-over-year. Office Commercial products and cloud services revenue in the segment were up 12% year-over-year with Office 365 Commercial revenue growth of 13% year-over-year. Office Consumer products and cloud services revenue was up 3% year-over-year.
The company said Microsoft 365 Consumer subscribers grew to 82.5 million.
LinkedIn revenue was up 10% year-over-year in the fourth quarter.
The company's Dynamics products and clouds services revenue was up 16% year-over-year.
Revenue in the More Personal Computing segment revenue totaled $15.9 billion in the fourth quarter, up 14% year-over-year. The segment was led by Windows revenue, up 7% year-over-year, and Windows Commercial products and cloud services revenue growth of 11% year-over-year. Xbox content and services revenue was up 61% year-over-year in the segment thanks to the net impact of the Activision Blizzard acquisition.

The company said it returned $8.4 billion to shareholders in the fourth quarter via share buybacks and dividends.
Microsoft reported record bookings and Microsoft Cloud quarterly revenue of $36.8 billion, up 21% year-over-year.
For the full fiscal year, Microsoft reported revenue of $245.1 billion, up 16% year-over-year. Full year earnings per share were $11.80, up 22% year-over-year.

Tectonic Therapeutic Gets U.S. FDA IND Clearance For Lead Program, TX45

Affirm Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AFRM#NASDAQ">AFRM</a>) stock gained after B of A Securities analyst Jason Kupferberg upgraded the stock from Neutral to Buy with a <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/AFRM/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">price target of&nbsp;$36</a>.
Kupferberg noted GAAP profitability may be closer than expected by consensus.
The analyst said the fourth-quarter print and guide could be a positive catalyst, and fiscal 2025 forecasts seem achievable.

At its November 2023 investor forum, Affirm Holdings detailed a medium-term profitability framework that Kupferberg noted as achievable given expense prudence year-to-date. In the context of this framework, Kupferberg said the Street is mis-modeling warrant expense and share-based compensation.
As warrant expense and Stock-based compensation (SBC) expense grind lower, the analyst forecasted GAAP profitability to arrive in fiscal 2026 faster than consensus.
Kupferberg flagged the increasing market expectations of three rate cuts in 2024 and four in 2025. A lower interest rate environment would be beneficial to Affirm Holdings&#8217; funding costs and for gain on loan sales.
As per the analyst, Affirm Holdings recently moved its merchants to a 36% annual percentage rate (APR) cap on loans, up from 30% previously, which should remain a tailwind for yields and Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) growth.
Given recent share price underperformance, Kupferberg noted the fourth-quarter print could be a positive catalyst.
Affirm Holdings may communicate a more bullish message on profitability while delivering fourth-quarter upside and guiding fiscal 2025 solidly in line, as per the analyst.
New Apple relationships, further scaling of Affirm Card, and potential geographic expansion of existing large partnerships like Amazon.Com Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) and Shopify Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SHOP#NYSE">SHOP</a>) should all support fiscal 2025 and 2026 forecasts, Kupferberg added.
The analyst projected fiscal 2024 sales of $2.27 billion, fiscal 2025 sales of $2.75 billion and fiscal 2026 sales of $3.24 billion.
Price Action: AFRM shares closed trading higher by 2.31% at $27.46 on Tuesday.
