McCormick in January 2024 voided Musk&#8217;s $56 billion pay package alleging that Tesla&#8217;s board was influenced by the CEO when they adopted the plan in 2018. Tesla shareholders subsequently voted again <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/06/39323339/tesla-shareholders-approve-elon-musk-56b-pay-package-other-company-proposals" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">to reinstate the package</a> in June. However, McCormick again ruled against the package in December.
Tesla said in a post on X in December that the company deems the ruling to be wrong and intends to appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court.

Musk was referring to minor shareholder Richard Tornetta as a &#8220;puppet shareholder.&#8221; Tornetta filed the lawsuit that led to the CEO&#8217;s compensation package being rescinded.
Musk in June said that the lawsuit brought forth by Tornetta does not represent Tesla shareholders as it claims to. 
"A "class action&#8221; lawsuit, by definition, should represent the class, yet this one, and most others, do NOT, serving simply to enrich law firms at the expense of the people they falsely claim to represent," Musk said. 
"The law should be changed to require at least 10% of the members of the supposed class to vote in favor of a class action suit. If they can&#8217;t even muster 10%, it is obviously bogus," the CEO added.
Over 70% of Tesla shareholders voted to approve Musk&#8217;s pay package in 2018 and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/06/39452158/tesla-ceo-elon-musk-calls-for-legal-reform-on-class-action-lawsuits-serving-simply-to-enrich-law-fir">again in June 2024.</a>

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi Resigns From Board Of Autonomous Vehicle Tech Company Aurora

Elon Musk&#8216;s rocket manufacturing company SpaceX is looking to deploy 10 model Starlink satellites during the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42736150/spacex-ceo-says-starship-7th-test-flight-slated-for-jan-10">upcoming test flight</a> of its Starship launch vehicle in a bid to demonstrate its capabilities in the satellite launch segment, the company said on Friday.
What Happened: The 10 Starlink simulators, the company said, will be similar in size and weight to the company&#8217;s next generation of Starlink satellites.
While SpaceX has conducted 6 test flights of its ambitious launch vehicle to date, none of them carried any payload. The last test flight of Starship was in November. 
Other Aims For Upcoming Flight Test: For the upcoming flight, the company is also looking to catch the vehicle&#8217;s booster back at the launch pad at Starbase, Texas, with the launch tower&#8217;s metallic arms like on its fifth test flight in October. However, in case of any safety concerns, the company will splash it down in the Gulf of Mexico, it said.
Catching the booster of the two-stage vehicle as well as the spacecraft back at the launch tower at Starbase is an important demonstration of the vehicle's reusability.
The spacecraft, however, is slated to be splashed down in the Indian Ocean on the upcoming test.

Jeff Bezos Says 'Good Old Days' Are 'Such An Illusion' As Far As Planet Earth Is Concerned, But There's One Exception

The SUV's entry-level variant starts at about $35,000, lower than Tesla's Model Y SUV or Ford's Mustang Mach-E.
Other best-selling EVs in the quarter include the Cadillac Lyriq and the Blazer EV. The company also sold 670 units of its luxury 7-seater electric SUV called Escalade IQ EV with a starting price of around $130,000.
Bolt EV sales in the quarter, however, dropped by 99.6% in the quarter after the company&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/08/40646381/gm-to-move-brightdrop-electric-vans-under-the-chevrolet-brand" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">discontinued its production in late 2023.</a>
