When asked at the 1995 shareholder meeting if Buffett would ever consider splitting Class-A shares, he said, &ldquo;We are almost certain we would get a shareholder base that would not have the level of sophistication and the synchronization of objectives with us that we have now. That is almost a cinch.&rdquo;
A year later, in 1996, an effort was made to make Berkshire&rsquo;s stock more inclusive, thus Class B shares were created.

Alphabet is the parent company to search engine behemoth, Google.

Alphabet announced a 20:1 stock split in April, which will take effect on July 15.

Booking Holdings is an American travel technology company that owns and operates several travel fare aggregators and travel fare metasearch engines.

The company completed one 2:1 stock split in May 1998.

The company announced on Tuesday that it would pay shareholders a quarterly dividend of $2.25 per share. On Thursday, Seaboard will go ex-dividend, meaning the stock will trade lower to reflect that payout.
