The strike&#8217;s primary catalyst is the inability to reach a consensus on AI protections. <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Broad Impact Of The Video Game Strike</h3>
The seeds of this strike were sown last September when SAG-AFTRA members voted to authorize a strike, coinciding with the waning of Hollywood actors and writers strikes. 
A major sticking point has been the use of AI, with fears that the technology could be utilized to replace human workers. Despite the strike, SAG-AFTRA has made some headway in addressing AI concerns, having signed an agreement with AI voice company Replica Studios. 
This deal allows SAG-AFTRA members to work exclusively with Replica to create digital replications of their voices, with clear agreements on the length of use and compensation.

Last month, Aeroht <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/06/39162311/future-of-travel-xpeng-aeroht-teams-up-with-autoliv-for-flying-car-safety-tech">signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Autoliv China </a>to collaborate on initiatives to develop safety solutions for flying cars.
Why It Matters: Flying cars are intended for low-altitude urban mobility. 
XPeng Aeroht has independently <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/06/39354225/xpengs-flying-car-takes-off-in-china-aims-for-commercialization-by-end-of-the-year">developed five generations</a> of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft or eVTOLs. 
Its next-generation modular flying car, called <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/01/36574301/futuristic-marvel-xpeng-aeroht-wows-ces-with-flying-super-car-concept-and-modular-land-aircraft-carr">Land Aircraft Carrier</a>,&nbsp;is scheduled to start pre-sales at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. The new vehicle has two parts- a ground module and an air module, with the ground module housing the aerial component for ground transportation. The two parts can automatically separate and combine.

Spain's <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/quote/GRF:SM">Grifols SA</a> is set to report an unexpected accounting adjustment related to its stake in <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/quote/002252:CH">Shanghai RAAS</a>, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The company recorded €400 million ($433 million) more than it should have for the value of an asset owned by the Chinese firm, the person said, asking not to be named discussing private information. The adjustment, set to be announced as soon as Tuesday, will not affect Grifols' profit and loss statement, the person said.
