It&rsquo;s been a tale of two markets &ndash; the haves and the have-nots, if you will.</p>



<p>But here&rsquo;s the thing: Just because a stock has been stuck in the mud doesn&rsquo;t mean it&rsquo;s destined to stay there forever. In fact, some of the most multibagger opportunities are lurking among these beaten-down stocks.</p>



<p>Don&rsquo;t get me wrong, I&rsquo;m not knocking the mega-caps &ndash; those cash-gushing giants have earned their place in every portfolio. <h2>Undervalued Stocks: Six Flags Entertainment (SIX)</h2>

This theme park is tied to the ebb and flow of tourism trends. When the pandemic hit, Six Flags was forced to take on a boatload of debt. It is now at $2.54 billion. That&rsquo;s a hefty burden for a company with a current market cap of only $2.1 billion and a measly $60 million in cash reserves.</p>



<p>The stock has essentially been stuck in neutral for the past couple of years, but travel demand has already roared back to pre-pandemic levels. All that&rsquo;s really been holding Six Flags back is interest rates. With a net income of $86.5 million for 2023 on revenue of $1.56 billion, the company is clearly profitable. However, <a href="https://investors.sixflags.com/news-and-events/press-releases/2024/02-29-2024-110035197">interest expenses ate up $156.3 million</a>, so any improvement on that front would lead to much more in profits.</p>



<p>Analysts also see <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SIX/earnings/estimates">earnings per share growing from $1.8 in 2024 to $2.5 by 2026</a> as that debt burden eases. At just 14 times forward earnings, shares look like an absolute steal for a business poised to enjoy some serious margin expansion once rates stabilize. This could be a multibagger in the making if the stars align.</p>



<h2>OptimizeRx (OPRX)</h2>

<p>OptimizeRx is experiencing exponential topline growth, but the market has not reacted to their stellar guidance, presenting a potential opportunity for a valuation re-rate in 2024. Moreover, the acquisition of<strong> Medicx</strong> is expected to boost OptimizeRx&rsquo;s revenue growth and improve offerings to existing customers.</p>



<p>OPRX has also been able to capture a 90% share of top pharma manufacturers as clients, and 60% of its revenue is coming from these clients. Another important point is revenue retention, which stands at 93% and growing quarter-over-quarter. I see significant upside potential here.</p>



<p>With growth like that, you&rsquo;d think shares would be trading at a premium. But as it stands, OPRX is changing hands for less than 3 times forward sales &ndash; a bargain-basement valuation.</p>



<h2>Undervalued Stocks: Dollar General (DG)</h2>

When a retailer like DG gets caught up in the broader market&rsquo;s overreaction to economic conditions, that&rsquo;s an obvious buying opportunity. The company has a very resilient business model.</p>



<p>Moreover, Todd Vasos, who doubled the market capitalization of DG from June 2015 to November 2022, was <a href="https://www.reuters.com/business/retail-consumer/dollar-general-reappoints-former-ceo-vasos-second-stint-narrows-outlook-2023-10-12/">reappointed as CEO</a> in October 2023. I believe the new CEO can double it from here again.</p>



<p>Wall Street simply got way too bearish on these discount retailers last year. But as inflation pressures inevitably ease and consumer spending power returns, the likes of Dollar General will be first in line to benefit. This is a best-in-breed operator trading at a discount to historical norms &ndash; and that&rsquo;s before even considering the potential for significant margin expansion as cost pressures abate.</p>



<p>I wouldn&rsquo;t be surprised to see DG shares double from here over the next two to three years.</p>



<h2>Newell Brands (NWL)</h2>

This company has been through the wringer over the past few years, with its downward spiral starting well before the pandemic only to accelerate in 2020. But I&rsquo;m bullish on NWL &ndash; and here&rsquo;s why.</p>



<p>For starters, we&rsquo;ve seen clear signs of a turnaround brewing lately. The stock has been trading sideways since October 2023, and I believe it&rsquo;s currently sitting in a prime buying zone at levels not seen since the Great Recession lows. Keep in mind, that Newell is still profitable, so there&rsquo;s likely limited downside risk from these depressed prices. It&rsquo;s already trading at just 13 times forward earnings with significant margin expansion expected in the coming years.</p>



<p>Analysts see EPS ramping up from <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NWL/earnings/estimates">57 cents in 2024 to $1.1 by 2028</a> as the company gets its groove back. That should provide plenty of fuel for a sustained recovery rally. And even if the turnaround takes longer than expected, you can collect NWL&rsquo;s 3.8% dividend yield while waiting for better days.</p>



<p>What really gets me excited here, though, is the company&rsquo;s recent earnings beat. Newell topped analyst estimates by 5% on the top line and a staggering 31.5% on EPS in Q4. To me, that&rsquo;s a telltale sign that Wall Street&rsquo;s pessimism has gone too far.</p>



<h2>Undervalued Stocks: United Natural Foods (UNFI)</h2>

It&rsquo;s also the main supplier for none other than <strong>Whole Foods Market</strong> &ndash; not too shabby!</p>



<p>UNFI&rsquo;s chart looks pretty ugly if you zoom out to its longer-term history. But that&rsquo;s precisely why I&rsquo;m intrigued. The stock has declined to bargain-basement valuation levels from which it has bounced back and delivered multibagger returns on numerous occasions before.</p>



<p>Sure, we&rsquo;re only looking at low single-digit top-line growth going forward. But the real excitement here is on the margin front. After posting slight losses in 2024, analysts expect United Foods to have a <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/UNFI/earnings/estimates">significant EPS recovery</a> in the years ahead. And that&rsquo;s likely not even factoring in the impact of interest rate cuts.</p>



<p>United Natural Foods is saddled with a whopping $3.7 billion debt load &ndash; a massive burden compared to its current $615 million market cap. As rates inevitably come down, this highly leveraged business should see its interest expenses plummet, providing an added tailwind for profits and cash flows.</p>



<p>Between the cyclical upswing, improving margins, and lower interest costs, I wouldn&rsquo;t be surprised to see UNFI serve up multibagger gains again over a multi-year period from today&rsquo;s rock-bottom prices. Sometimes the ugliest charts make for the most beautiful contrarian plays.</p>



<h2>JD.Com (JD)</h2>

The resulting deflationary spiral has left many of China&rsquo;s former high-flyers trading at fire-sale valuations.</p>



<p>But I believe snapping up some of these high-quality companies with real staying power is a smart move &ndash; even if they look downright boring today. <strong>JD.Com</strong> (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/jd-stock-quote/"><strong>JD</strong></a>) is a prime example of one of China&rsquo;s biggest e-commerce and logistics juggernauts.</p>



<p>JD&rsquo;s growth has slowed to a crawl for now amid the broader economic malaise. But with China finally starting to loosen its monetary policy and dole out subsidies to revive its stock market, that could change in a hurry. Even based on current projections, we&rsquo;re still looking at <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/JD/earnings/estimates">double-digit annual EPS growth and mid-single-digit revenue expansion</a> &ndash; not too shabby considering the macro backdrop.</p>



<p>If China&rsquo;s stimulus efforts gain serious traction, however, JD could easily start getting hot again.</p>



<h2>Betterware (BWMX)</h2>

The stock trades at just 8 times forward earnings. The 6.35% dividend yield also appears sustainable given the current growth trajectory and leading industry position.</p>



<p>With just 4% market penetration in Mexico so far, Betterware has a vast runway ahead for further domestic expansion. It is also still down 60% from its peak despite gaining 80% in the past year. Thus, I see it as as one of the best undervalued stocks you can buy.</p>

7 Top Undervalued Stocks Primed for a Multibagger Recovery

Six Flags And Cedar Fair: Synergies Provide Great Upside

<p>Mid-cap stocks present an especially enticing narrative at junctures such as this, when it&rsquo;s difficult to decipher the market&rsquo;s trajectory. Stated differently, sometimes it&rsquo;s best just to drive down the middle lane.</p>



<p>Yes, large-capitalization enterprises offer (generally speaking) the most stability. That could be useful for conservative investors. However, for those seeking growth, the predictable nature of the big caps stymies upside potential.</p>



<p>Of course, one could always go with the small-cap plays to boost returns. However, due to their extreme unpredictability, the volatility risks are quite high.</p>



<p>On the other hand, the mid-sized enterprises present a balance between stability and growth prospects. With that, below are mid-cap stocks you should put on your radar.</p>



<h2>Valvoline (VVV)</h2>

You go there to get quick oil-change service. That doesn&rsquo;t necessarily scream viable off the top.</p>



<p>However, VVV could make a case for sleeper mid-cap stocks to buy. Even with <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/04/cpi-shocker-why-are-gas-prices-going-up-again/#:~:text=A%20combination%20of%20acute%20catalysts,the%20bulk%20of%20the%20story.">higher energy prices</a>, shares of publicly traded electric vehicle manufacturers simply didn&rsquo;t perform that well. That suggests that the consumer economy is not strong enough for people to make the transition to EVs. If that&rsquo;s the case, the addressable market for Valvoline could be bigger than anticipated.</p>



<p>Admittedly, the company&rsquo;s performance in the last fiscal year wasn&rsquo;t all that great. However, for the current fiscal year, experts are projecting significant growth in terms of earnings. As well, they see revenue of $1.63 billion, up 13.2% from last year&rsquo;s haul of $1.44 billion.</p>



<p>For me, the fundamentals of poor EV demand makes VVV very attractive. It&rsquo;s one of the mid-cap stocks to consider.</p>



<h2>Semtech (SMTC)</h2>

Specifically, it designs, develops, manufactures and markets analog and mixed-signal products and advanced algorithms. It offers significant relevancies for various infrastructural and industrial applications, including data centers, enterprise networks and passive optical networks.</p>



<p>In my opinion, Semtech could potentially piggyback off other innovations, such as artificial intelligence. With AI demand rising, so too will the data center ecosystem. Subsequently, the tailwind should help lift SMTC stock higher. Notably, analysts peg shares a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/smtc/forecast">unanimous strong buy</a> with a $38.31 average price target.</p>



<p>Last fiscal year, Semtech incurred a bum note in the fourth quarter, producing a loss per share of 6 cents against the expected target of 3 cents in the red. However, the average quarterly surprise came out to 147.6% last year, suggesting resiliency.</p>



<p>For the current fiscal year, analysts believe there will only be modest growth. However, the following fiscal year could see sales shoot to $1.03 billion, well above fiscal 2023&rsquo;s print of $868.76 million. Given the relevancies, it&rsquo;s one of the mid-cap stocks to consider.</p>



<h2>Arch Resources (ARCH)</h2>

Specifically, it engages in the production and sale of metallurgical products. It operates in two segments: Metallurgical and Thermal. While the sector faces political threats, the tightness in this year&rsquo;s election cycle probably means that no one candidate can take a draconian stance on any one industry.</p>



<p>After all, every occupation category features voters. What&rsquo;s more, amid explosive electricity demand due to factors such as data center acceleration, America may be <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2024/03/07/ai-data-centers-power/">running out of power</a>. So, while Arch Resources might seem an anachronistic idea, it could be one of the mid-cap stocks to buy.</p>



<p>For full disclosure, last fiscal year&rsquo;s performance was a mess. Overall, the average quarterly surprise came out to 9.3% below expectations. Indeed, the only hit occurred in Q3. And to be quite blunt, analysts are projecting slowed growth in both sales and earnings for fiscal 2024.</p>



<p>Yet they&rsquo;re also projecting a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/arch/forecast">strong buy</a> with a $182 price target. That may be because of the aforementioned power crisis and the tight political situation.</p>



<h2>Essential Utilities (WTRG)</h2>

Would-be competitors face a host of steep obstacles, not the least of which are regulatory hurdles. Effectively, then, companies like Essential are entrenched.</p>



<p>It&rsquo;s like a bully &ndash; if you can&rsquo;t beat &lsquo;em, join &lsquo;em. Not surprisingly, analysts are enthusiastic about WTRG stock. In fact, they rate shares a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/wtrg/forecast">unanimous strong buy</a> with a $41.50 average price target. And while its performance in fiscal 2023 wasn&rsquo;t really that exciting, the average earnings surprise came out to 0.7% above expectations.</p>



<p>For the current fiscal year, analysts are seeking earnings per share of $1.98 on revenue of $2.36 billion. That&rsquo;s a notable improvement over last year&rsquo;s print of earnings of $1.86 on sales of $2.05 billion. In my opinion, this is an easy case for mid-cap stocks to buy.</p>



<h2>Wix (WIX)</h2>

WIX Logo."><div>Source: MagioreStock / Shutterstock.com</div></div><p>Operating in the technology sphere, <strong>Wix</strong> (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/wix-stock-quote/"><strong>WIX</strong></a>) technically falls under the infrastructure software space. <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/WIX/profile">According to its public profile</a>, Wix operates as a cloud-based web development platform for registered users and creators worldwide. If you sift through the word salad, the company provides an intuitive canvas for building websites. It functions via a graphical user interface so it&rsquo;s super convenient.</p>



<p>Analysts really appreciate the idea too. Among 18 experts, 17 of them peg WIX as a buy. Further, the average price target stands at $157.29, implying decent growth. Fundamentally, Wix should benefit from the rise of the gig economy. Further, even with layoffs rising in certain sectors, many workers may decide to be independent contractors, which may increase the company&rsquo;s total addressable market.</p>



<p>The financial performance is encouraging. Last fiscal year, Wix&rsquo;s average positive earnings surprise clocked in at 188.15%. For the current fiscal year, analysts are projecting EPS of $4.84 on revenue of $1.75 billion. These stats represent a noticeable improvement over last year&rsquo;s EPS of $4.39 on sales of $1.56 billion. It&rsquo;s easily a name for mid-cap stocks to buy.</p>



<h2>Six Flags (SIX)</h2>

Typically, it&rsquo;s a solid investment although the post-pandemic cycle is a tricky one for SIX stock. As evidence, shares have lost nearly 52% of equity value over the past five years. Still, it could be one of the ideas to consider for mid-cap stocks for speculators.</p>



<p>That&rsquo;s because people are still interested in travel and &ldquo;experiential&rdquo; services. According to Deloitte, the phenomenon of revenge travel has waned. However, a <a href="https://www2.deloitte.com/content/dam/Deloitte/us/Documents/consumer-business/us-travel-hospitality-industry-outlook-2024.pdf">new era of prioritizing travel</a> may be emerging per its report. If so, SIX is worth putting on your radar. Analysts are doing exactly that, pegging shares a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/six/forecast">consensus strong buy</a> with a $29.63 average price target.</p>



<p>If Deloitte&rsquo;s research holds true, SIX could be a surprising idea for mid-cap stocks. Yes, it largely floundered last fiscal year. However, experts expect EPS this fiscal year to hit $1.79, a big improvement over last year&rsquo;s 46 cents. Also, revenue could land at $1.51 billion, up 5.6%.</p>



<h2>Marriott Vacations (VAC)</h2>

SLNA stock"><div>Source: icemanphotos / Shutterstock.com</div></div><p>Perhaps the riskiest idea on this list of mid-cap stocks, <strong>Marriott Vacations</strong> (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/vac-stock-quote/"><strong>VAC</strong></a>) also falls under the broad consumer cyclical space. <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/VAC/profile">According to its corporate profile</a>, Marriott develops, markets, sells and manages vacation ownership and related businesses, products and services in the U.S. and internationally. If people &ndash; particularly wealthier consumers &ndash; are prioritizing travel, VAC stock should be on your radar.</p>



<p>To be fair, Marriott Vacations has been hit or miss last fiscal year. Its best performance came in Q1 2023, when EPS of $2.54 beat out the consensus target by nearly 31%. However, its worst performance was in Q3 when EPS of $1.20 was down 44.4% against the consensus view. Subsequently, analysts rate shares a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/vac/forecast">moderate buy</a> with a $109.57 price target.</p>



<p>However, the most optimistic target calls for $159, which implies nearly 58% upside potential. How it could get there is a recovery in the vacation home space. Analysts are projecting revenue to land at $4.8 billion in the current fiscal year, up 51.7% from last year&rsquo;s haul of $3.17 billion.</p>

<p>The first official summer day is June 20, just two months from now. This has me thinking about summer stocks and companies that benefit from the warm weather between June and September.</p>



<p><strong>Walt Disney </strong>(NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/dis-stock-quote/"><strong>DIS</strong></a></span>) naturally comes to mind. If you bought last October at its 52-week low of $78.73, you&rsquo;re up 43% in six months. That&rsquo;s a marked improvement from the previous six months. </p>



<p>What makes a good summer stock?&nbsp;One that makes good money in the summer but isn&rsquo;t overly reliant on this brief window of opportunity, like <strong>Cedar Fair </strong>(NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/fun-stock-quote/"><strong>FUN</strong></a></span>) or <strong>Six Flags Entertainment </strong>(NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/six-stock-quote/"><strong>SIX</strong></a></span>) are.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The best long-term winners are those companies that make money in all four seasons. They don&rsquo;t have to be obvious choices. For example, <strong>Nike </strong>(NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/nke-stock-quote/"><strong>NKE</strong></a></span>) and <strong>Lululemon </strong>(NASDAQ:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/lulu-stock-quote/"><strong>LULU</strong></a></span>) would be good summer stocks. These two sell apparel for 12 months of the year. Based on that logic, here are my top three choices for summer stocks.</p>



<h2>Royal Caribbean Group (RCL)</h2>

The cruise industry suffered greatly during the pandemic, but when health scares don&rsquo;t dampen travelers&rsquo; enthusiasm, it&rsquo;s one of the most consistent businesses on the planet for revenue and profit generation.&nbsp;</p>



<p>RCL stock is off to an average start in 2024, up 6.5%, neck and neck with the <strong>S&amp;P 500</strong>, but up 98% over the past year, almost five times the index. Since its March 2020 low of around $24, it&rsquo;s up 433% despite a <a href="https://time.com/6263225/cruise-covid-19-protocols/">15-month shutdown</a> due to Covid. This strong bounce back is a great example of the company&rsquo;s resiliency. </p>



<p>In mid-March, Macquarie analyst Paul Golding increased his RCL target price by $15 to <a href="https://www.barrons.com/articles/royal-caribbean-stock-outlook-d5b957c8">$160</a> while reaffirming his &ldquo;outperform&rdquo; rating.&nbsp;&ldquo;&lsquo;We see RCL as best-in-class,&rsquo; Golding wrote in a research note. &lsquo;&hellip;RCL continues setting new company records thanks to strength in product and demand, allowing RCL to capitalize on growth across supply type (new ship formats) and the value proposition it represents, while paying down high-rate debt,&rsquo;&rdquo; <em>Barron&rsquo;s </em><a href="https://www.barrons.com/articles/royal-caribbean-stock-outlook-d5b957c8">reported</a>.&nbsp;</p>



<p>In June 202o, I <a href="https://investorplace.com/2022/06/rcl-stock-royal-caribbean-latest-move-is-a-winner/">recommended</a> Royal Caribbean stock. It was trading at around $55. Now it&rsquo;s at $128, and I still like it whether it&rsquo;s spring, summer, winter or fall.&nbsp;</p>



<h2>Camping World Holdings (CWH)&nbsp;&nbsp;</h2>

CWH stock."><div>Source: Casimiro PT / Shutterstock</div></div><p>Higher interest rates have not been good for stocks like <strong>Camping World Holdings </strong>(NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/cwh-stock-quote/"><strong>CWH</strong></a></span>), the country&rsquo;s largest retailer of recreational vehicles (RVs). The company has <a href="https://investor.campingworld.com/press-releases/press-release-details/2024/Camping-World-Holdings-Inc.-Reports-Fourth-Quarter-2023-Results-Returns-to-Positive-New-Vehicle-Unit-Volume-Growth-Continues-Acquisition-Pace-Committed-to-Delivering-Unit-Volume-Market-Share-and-Strong-Earnings-Growth-in-2024/default.aspx">198 RV dealerships</a> and another four RV service and retail centers as of Dec. 31, 2023.&nbsp;</p>



<p>One way you can tell the business slowed down in 2023 was its 5.8% decline in active customers. An active customer is any customer who has completed a transaction of any kind with the company in the previous two years. Unfortunately, last year that number slipped just below 5 million.&nbsp;</p>



<p>However, late in 2023, business started to improve.&nbsp;&ldquo;Beginning in December, our new vehicle same store unit growth turned positive, with January and February to date trending up from mid-single to low-double digits,&rdquo; stated CEO Marcus Lemonis in the company&rsquo;s Q4 2023 press release.</p>



<p>Chief Financial Officer Matt Wagner added, &ldquo;Positive demand trends, inventory discipline, strength in our Good Sam segment and the service and parts portion of our business, acquisitions, and cost reductions, give us confidence in delivering unit volume and strong earnings growth in 2024 while continuing our march to 320 locations by 2028.&rdquo;</p>



<p>Despite the stock being down 18% in 2024, analysts like it, with <a href="https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/cwh/analystestimates">nine out of 12</a> rating it a &ldquo;buy,&rdquo; with a $30 target price.&nbsp;Come summer, sales should start to sizzle.&nbsp;</p>



<h2>Delta Air Lines (DAL)</h2>

It&rsquo;s also poised to be one of the great summer stocks this year given it&rsquo;s had an excellent start to 2024 already. It&rsquo;s up 18% which is triple the S&amp;P 500 and 2.5 times the <strong>U.S. Global Jets ETF </strong>(NYSEARCA:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/jets-stock-quote/"><strong>JETS</strong></a></span>). The downside is that it&rsquo;s still down 16.2% over the past five years, well below the index&rsquo;s 70% return.</p>



<p>It&rsquo;s a tricky business. Just ask Warren Buffett.&nbsp;&ldquo;The worst sort of business is one that grows rapidly, requires significant capital to engender the growth, and then earns little or no money. Think airlines,&rdquo; Buffett <a href="https://www.berkshirehathaway.com/letters/2007ltr.pdf">wrote</a> in the 2007 <strong>Berkshire Hathaway</strong> (NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/brk-a-stock-quote/"><strong>BRK-A</strong></a></span>, NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/brk-b-stock-quote/"><strong>BRK-B</strong></a></span>) shareholder letter.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Undoubtedly, the airline business is a harsh industry to make money consistently. However, people will continue flying, so the opportunity to generate revenue will always remain, unlike the horse and buggy.&nbsp;</p>



<p>On April 10, Delta reported Q1 2024 results that included a <a href="https://s2.q4cdn.com/181345880/files/doc_earnings/2024/q1/earnings-result/Delta-Air-Lines-Announces-April-Quarter-2024.pdf">77% increase</a> in its adjusted earnings per share to 45 cents, <a href="https://ca.investing.com/news/stock-market-news/delta-air-lines-earnings-beat-by-011-revenue-topped-estimates-3343174">11 cents</a> higher than the analyst estimate. On the top line, its revenues were 6% higher at $12.56 billion, $100 million higher than Wall Street&rsquo;s estimate.&nbsp;</p>



<p>For 2024, it expects to generate $3.5 billion in free cash flow at the midpoint of its guidance. Based on an enterprise value of <a href="https://www.morningstar.com/stocks/xnys/dal/valuation">$51.9 billion</a>, that&rsquo;s a free cash flow yield of 6.7%. Anything between 4% and 8% is a reasonable price. Above 8% is value territory.</p>

Six Flags prices $850M senior secured notes

<p>If you believe in the <a href="https://corporatefinanceinstitute.com/resources/career-map/sell-side/capital-markets/what-is-the-random-walk-theory/">random walk theory</a>, then the idea of stocks to buy on the dip might not make much sense. That&rsquo;s because this belief system states that the market prices in all publicly available information about a particular security.</p>



<p>Still, a counterargument is that the modern market features thousands upon thousands of securities. It&rsquo;s practically impossible for investors to adequately provide covering to each one. So, it may be inevitable that a few ideas simply fall by the wayside.</p>



<p>In turn, this dynamic sets up the case for underappreciated opportunities. On that note, it&rsquo;s time to consider these contrarian stocks to buy on the dip.</p>



<h2>Stride (LRN)</h2>

Fundamentally, Stride may enjoy upside demand due to the need for American students to <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/news/american-students-lag-behind-comparable-developed-countries-in-math-after-pandemic/">play catch-up with the rest of the world</a>.</p>



<p>To be sure, LRN has enjoyed a strong performance in the charts. In the past 52 weeks, it gained more than 52% of equity value. However, it&rsquo;s down 4% on a year-to-date basis. What&rsquo;s more, in the trailing month, it slipped over 9%. Still, the volatility makes LRN a solid candidate for stocks to buy on the dip.</p>



<p>Financially, Stride is a very strong performer. Last fiscal year, the average positive earnings surprise clocked in at 46.65%. For the current fiscal year, experts are looking for earnings per share of $4.42 on revenue of $2.02 billion. That&rsquo;s substantially higher than last year&rsquo;s result of $2.97 EPS on sales of $1.84 billion.</p>



<p>Not surprisingly, analysts rate LRN a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/lrn/forecast">strong buy</a> with a $71.75 price target, projecting over 23% upside.</p>



<h2>Six Flags (SIX)</h2>

Fundamentally, SIX could be intriguing because of consumers&rsquo; potential prioritization of travel and related experiences.</p>



<p>Of course, it&rsquo;s a risky narrative which is why SIX stock hasn&rsquo;t really performed well this year. Since the beginning of January, it&rsquo;s down 2.5%. In the past 30 days, SIX lost 6% (funnily enough). Nevertheless, the red ink could make shares a candidate for stocks to buy on the dip.</p>



<p>It must be said that the past performance of Six Flags isn&rsquo;t exactly flattering. For fiscal 2023, the average quarterly surprise came out to 69.08% below parity (that is, below analysts&rsquo; bottom-line targets). However, fiscal 2024 could be the recovery year, with EPS forecasted to reach $1.79 on revenue of $1.51 billion.</p>



<p>Last year, Six Flags posted EPS of 46 cents on sales of $1.43 billion. Should people continue to value their vacations, SIX would be a name to watch.</p>



<h2>Arlo (ARLO)</h2>

Further, its security system provides an all-in-one multi-sensor platform, enabling monitoring and effective responses to emergencies.</p>



<p>Fundamentally, the rise of various security threats has boosted demand for ARLO stock. Over the past 52 weeks, it gained almost 63% of equity value. However, it&rsquo;s still one of the stocks to buy on the dip because of its recent underperformance. In the trailing month, shares fell more than 15%. Despite the red ink, though, Arlo should recover relatively quickly.</p>



<p>Financially, it&rsquo;s a powerhouse, plain and simple. Last fiscal year, its average positive earnings surprise clocked in at just over 59%. That&rsquo;s a wildly impressive figure. For the current fiscal year, experts forecast EPS to hit 41 cents on revenue of $530.52 million. That&rsquo;s a decent step up from last year&rsquo;s result of 28-cent EPS on sales of $491.18 million.</p>



<p>Unsurprisingly, analysts rate shares a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/arlo/forecast">unanimous strong buy</a>.</p>

Buy the Dip: 3 Suppressed Stocks With the Potential to Rip Higher

<p>Wall Street&nbsp;is eagerly awaiting&nbsp;the long-anticipated pivot from the Federal Reserve&rsquo;s quantitative tightening cycle. While no one can pinpoint the exact timing of such a shift, the Fed has <a href="https://www.reuters.com/markets/us/feds-daly-says-3-rate-cuts-this-year-reasonable-2024-04-02/">signaled three rate cuts this year</a>. However, recent inflation data have cast doubt on whether we&rsquo;ll see any easing&nbsp;at all&nbsp;in 2024. Personally, I believe at least one rate cut is likely, given the political pressures of an election year. Regardless, nearly everyone agrees that inflation will eventually subside. That should pave the way for significantly lower interest rates over the next two years.</p>



<p>Certain stocks stand to benefit disproportionately from the renewed liquidity and economic tailwinds that lower rates would provide. As lending costs decline, consumer demand and business investment could rebound sharply. Pinpointing these potential winners now is a good idea. With that in mind, let&rsquo;s look at the three stocks that could surge once rate cuts kick in.</p>



<h2>American Airlines (AAL)</h2>

While the travel boom has provided some relief, AAL stock has&nbsp;largely&nbsp;traded sideways around the $10-$15 range in recent months. However, I believe the market is undervaluing this stock&rsquo;s potential at its current depressed valuation.</p>



<p>Trading at just 11.5-times trailing earnings, American Airlines appears excessively cheap, especially considering its earnings power could&nbsp;be obscured&nbsp;by the high interest rate environment.&nbsp;The company <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AAL/income-statement">paid&nbsp;a whopping&nbsp;$1.6 billion in net interest expenses</a> last year. Yet, American has&nbsp;managed to stay&nbsp;solidly profitable while <a href="https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/AAL/american-airlines-group/total-liabilities">deleveraging its balance sheet by around $12 billion</a> since mid-2021.</p>



<p>Once interest rates inevitably come down,&nbsp;this immense interest burden will be alleviated, potentially unlocking significant upside. The market seems to be underappreciating the impact of future rate cuts, which I&rsquo;m confident will materialize within the next two years or sooner. As this tailwind kicks in, AAL stock could take flight from its current bargain-basement levels.</p>



<h2>PayPal (PYPL)</h2>

While the fintech giant&rsquo;s slowing user growth has spooked Wall Street, causing shares to plummet 47% from pre-pandemic highs, I believe this stock price move overlooks PayPal&rsquo;s underlying strength.</p>



<p>Despite user churn, PayPal continues growing steadily. The company reported year-over-year revenue growth of nearly 9% and net income near record levels in its recent quarter.&nbsp;This&nbsp;suggests those departing PayPal aren&rsquo;t necessarily the company&rsquo;s most profitable customers. PayPal has a sticky core user base that it has&nbsp;been successfully monetizing&nbsp;at increasing rates.</p>



<p>Looking ahead, analysts forecast&nbsp;PayPal will <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/PYPL/earnings/estimates">sustain 8%+ annual sales growth</a> and low double-digit earnings growth in the coming years. For a company boasting cash flow prowess and merchant acceptance rivaling <strong>Visa</strong> (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/v-stock-quote/"><strong>V</strong></a>) and <strong>Mastercard</strong> (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/ma-stock-quote/"><strong>MA</strong></a>), paying less than 17-times earnings is an absolute steal,&nbsp;in&nbsp;my view.</p>



<p>With billions allocated to share buybacks and the potential for dividend initiation akin to <strong>Meta&rsquo;s</strong> (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/meta-stock-quote/"><strong>META</strong></a>) recent move, PayPal could unlock immense value as an economic revival spurred by lower rates reignites user growth. I see tremendous upside ahead for this under-appreciated fintech titan.</p>



<h2>Six Flags Entertainment (SIX)</h2>

The company was racking up debt well before the pandemic (much&nbsp;of it&nbsp;floating-rate), resulting in a painful <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SIX/income-statement">$158 million net interest expense</a> burden last year.&nbsp;For context, Six Flags&rsquo; entire market cap hovers around just $2 billion&nbsp;currently.</p>



<p>Despite this near-term strain, the stock has traded rangebound between $20-$25 since July 2022 as the market seemingly awaits a catalyst.&nbsp;I believe falling interest rates could provide that spark, given Six Flags&rsquo; well-established business model and robust margins.&nbsp;You&rsquo;re paying a mere 13-times forward earnings for a company that analysts see delivering <a href="http://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SIX/earnings/estimates">36.3% earnings per share growth</a> in 2024, and 22.3% the following year.</p>



<p>A sustained&nbsp;decline in rates&nbsp;could potentially boost those rosy projections even further. This overlooked theme park play may not be making headlines today, but its fortunes could shift rapidly in a lower rate regime that benefits discretionary consumer spending.</p>
