The economy ranked as the top issue for voters in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and ranked second in Arizona. Immigration ranked as the top issue in Arizona and ranked second in Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Swing states remain a key battle in the 2024 election and could be the deciding factor for the winner. The five swing states listed above represent 71 electoral votes. 
All five of the states listed above voted for Trump in the 2016 presidential election and flipped to Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

Apple Vision Pro Launches New Lake-Setting Environment For Digital Crown VR

Every four years, a Summer Olympics competition is held with viewers around the world tuning in to cheer on their country's athletes in the hope to top the medal count and celebrate the pride <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/olympics">of their country.</a>
While the Olympics are important to media companies, sports fans and others, here's a look at their impact on the stock market.
Stock Markets During Summer Olympics: The stock market doesn't close for the Summer Olympics, but could see volatility for several companies that could be impacted by the games including <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/24/07/39733479/nba-fans-rejoice-new-76b-deal-from-espn-amazon-nbc-will-bring-games-seven-days-a-week">U.S. media rights holder</a> Comcast Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CMCSA#NASDAQ">CMCSA</a>).
Other than stocks with direct ties to the Olympic games, the stock market sees little correlation between the games and price action. The country that wins the most countries often doesn't see a material impact from taking the top honors.
One market that is more heavily impacted is the stock market of the host country, which often sees a spike when the country is selected as the host and shortly before the games before cooling off during the games and directly after.
The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>), which tracks the S&amp;P 500 Index was up 1.0% and 1.1%, respectively, during the duration of the 2016 Summer Olympics (Aug. 5, 2016-Aug. 21, 2016) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the 2020 Summer Olympics (July 23, 2021-Aug. 8, 2021) in Tokyo. Japan.
While the past two Summer Olympics produced minimal returns for the S&amp;P 500, the SPY was up 2.9% and 2.4% respectively during the duration of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England, and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.
For comparison, a look at the country-specific ETFs of the Olympics host nation turned in lower returns than the S&amp;P 500.
In 2020, the iShares MSCI Japan Fund (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EWJ#NYSE">EWJ</a>) was flat during the Summer Olympics, going from $67.78 to $67.82, or a total gain of 4 cents.
The iShares MSCI Brazil ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EWZ#NYSE">EWZ</a>) was up 1.0% during the 2016 Summer Olympics.
The 2008 Summer Olympics may stand out as an example of volatility with the games. While the U.S. won the most medals overall (112 to China's 100), China took home the most gold medals (48 to USA's 36). This is the last time the U.S. didn't finish first in the gold medal race.
The iShares China Large-Cap ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FXI#NYSE">FXI</a>) was actually down 2.1% during the 2008 Summer Olympics, compared to the 2.4% gain for the SPY mentioned above.
A Bespoke Investment study <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/stock-market-performance-during-the-olympics-2016-8">shared </a>by Business Insider in 2016 found that the S&amp;P 500 averaged a +1.75% gain during the duration of each Summer Olympics from 1928 to 2012. The study also found that the benchmark indices of host countries had a similar gain of +1.74% during each Summer Olympics.
One result also stands out in the study with the S&amp;P 500 up 9.41% during the 1984 Summer Olympics, hosted in Los Angeles, California.
The Summer Olympics return to Los Angeles in 2028, the first time the U.S. has hosted since the 1996 games in Atlanta, Georgia.

U.S. Medal Dominance: The U.S. has dominated the medal counts in the Summer Olympics, ranking with more than 1,000 medals ahead of the next closest country.
The U.S. has 2,975 total Olympic medals according to the Olympic Foundation and a CBS News <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/2024-paris-games-most-olympic-medals-ever/">report</a>. Ranking behind the U.S. are the Soviet Union with 1,204 medals and Germany with 1,058 medals.
For gold medals, the U.S. ranks first with 1,179, followed by the Soviet Union with 473 and Germany with 342.
In the <a href="https://olympics.com/en/olympic-games/rio-2016/medals">2016 </a>Summer Olympics, the U.S. had 121 total medals, ranking ahead of China (70) and Great Britain (67). The U.S. had 46 gold medals in 2016 topping Great Britain (27) and China (26).
At the <a href="https://olympics.com/en/olympic-games/tokyo-2020/medals">2020 </a>Summer Olympics, the U.S. had 113 total medals, topping China (89) and the Russian Olympic Committee (71). USA led the way with 39 gold medals in 2020 topping China (38) and Japan (27).
The U.S. is once again favored to win the most medals and gold medals. Odds from DraftKings Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DKNG#NASDAQ">DKNG</a>) give U.S. odds of -2500 to win the most medals, followed by China at +900 and Japan and Great Britain tied with odds of +5,000.
The odds for most gold medals are slightly closer with U.S. favored at -750, ranking ahead of China (+350) and France (+6,500).
The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are July 26 through August 11.

Bob Moriarty of 321gold.com explains why he believes Sanu Gold Corp. could benefit from current sentiments around gold and silver.

As of my writing, the Daily Sentiment Index (DSI) for gold stands at 78, while silver&#39;s DSI is 80. These numbers do not indicate an overwhelming bullish sentiment that would hinder further rallies. In fact, based on my observations of investor sentiment on Stockwatch, it appears that market participants are skeptical about the current rally. The shares I own or follow are experiencing low trading volumes, with only a few thousand shares changing hands daily. This is not indicative of a market top.

When an asset class is at its lowest point, it is typically characterized by a lack of investor interest. Conversely, when an investment becomes the flavor of the day, and everyone is eager to pour money into it, that often signifies a market high. We are currently not in such a situation.

Gold is on the verge of reaching a new all-time high, and silver is just a few pennies away from its highest level in thirteen years. Despite these impressive milestones, investor enthusiasm remains muted.

In my search for undervalued investment opportunities that have yet to capture the attention of the broader market, I examined the shares I own or follow. My goal was to identify an asset that is exceptionally cheap and poised to appreciate once investors recognize its potential. However, it remains uncertain whether investors will eventually wake up to these overlooked opportunities.

After conducting thorough research to identify the most promising undervalued company, I discovered Sanu Gold Corp. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SNGCF#OTC">SNGCF</a>). This company operates in the world&#39;s most prolific gold district and boasts three projects of district-scale potential. To gauge investor interest, I visited the CEO.CA website a few days after Technical Analyst Clive Maund published a comprehensive and insightful article about the company.

CEO.CA provides a real-time display of the number of individuals currently active on a specific company&#39;s discussion board. To my surprise, the counter indicated that only two people were present on Sanu Gold&#39;s board. Considering that I was one of those two people, it became apparent that investor interest in this potentially lucrative opportunity was incredibly low, with myself accounting for half of the total engagement.

Sanu Gold is on the verge of concluding a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at their Bantabaye project, having drilled approximately 1,500 meters. The collected samples have been sent to the assay laboratory, and the company expects to receive the results in the near future. The previous drilling campaign in 2023 yielded impressive gold intercepts, including a notable interval of 15 meters grading 11.4 grams per tonne of gold (g/t Au). These encouraging findings from the earlier program have raised expectations for the upcoming assay results from the current drilling effort.

Sanu Gold has an impressive land package, controlling 28,000 square kilometers in Guinea, which is considered one of the world&#39;s most prospective gold regions. The company finds itself in the midst of major players such as Newmont Mining, AngloGold Ashanti, and Nordgold, all of which have delineated multi-million-ounce gold deposits in the area. The relative obscurity of Guinea among small investors can be attributed to the tendency of these large companies to maintain a low profile regarding their mines and recent discoveries.

Looking ahead, Sanu Gold has secured funding for its 2024 drill program, which will include up to 8,000 meters of RC drilling. As results trickle in over the coming months, the company&#39;s ability to raise additional capital and continue drilling will depend on the outcome of these initial assays. However, even the preliminary results suggest a strong likelihood of discovering between 2 and 5 million ounces of gold. Moreover, Sanu Gold has two additional projects with similar potential.

It&#39;s worth noting that major companies operating in the basin have employed certain tactics to discover multiple million-ounce deposits over the years. One such approach involves paying attention to the activities of garimpeiros, or artisanal miners, who have honed their skills in locating economically viable gold deposits over centuries using only hand tools. Another interesting phenomenon is the role of termites, which dig down to the water table and bring material to the surface. While the gold grade in these mounds can vary considerably, the presence of any gold indicates the possibility of more at depth, making it a promising location for drilling.

Despite demonstrating excellent results, Sanu Gold&#39;s share price has declined by 80% over the past two years. However, when the market eventually recognizes the company&#39;s potential, Sanu Gold is likely to be among the first to benefit. As an early investor, I have owned shares since the company went public and have continued to average down my position.

Technical Analyst Clive Maund shares why he believes Sanu Gold Corp. is an Immediate Strong Buy.

Even without the benefit of a sector bull market, Sanu Gold Corp. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SNGCF#OTC">SNGCF</a>) is looking like a most attractive gold stock investment here, but as it happens, a major gold and gold stock bull market is just getting started that promises to be of unprecedented magnitude and will be of enormous benefit to a well-positioned company like Sanu Gold.

A big reason that Sanu Gold is looking so attractive at this point is that it is not some junior that is looking for gold in a forlorn windswept northern moose pasture &mdash; it is looking for gold in the number one gold mining district in the world where it is surrounded by significant discoveries, in addition to which it has made some significant discoveries of its own.

We will now proceed to overview the company, looking at a selection of slides from its latest investor deck, which is new out this month, and then continue on to an analysis of its latest stock charts to see what they say about its prospects, and as we will discover, they are very bright indeed.

First of all, where does Sanu Gold operate, and at what stage of development are its properties?

The company has three significant properties in the prolific Siguiri basin in northeastern Guinea, which is in West Africa, and the exact position of Guinea in Africa and within Guinea, the position of the Siguiri basin is shown on the first slide.

The second slide shows the position of the company&#39;s three properties within the Seguiri basin, and also the numerous significant discoveries in the area, with some big mining companies such as AngloGold and Endeavour active in the district and also on this slide, there is information about high-grade discoveries at Sanu&#39;s Bantabaye and Daina properties from the first drill program illustrating that work at these properties is well beyond the initial exploration phase.

Now, we come to a very important slide for investors, which demonstrates that there is a lot of belief in and confidence in this company.

Of the 138.5 million shares in issue, insiders, founders, and close associates own 30%, high net worth Individuals own another 30%, and institutions own 25%, which only leaves about 15% for retail investors, or about 19 million shares, so clearly any serious influx of demand for the stock can be expected to drive the price substantially higher.

Now, we will turn our attention to an analysis of the stock charts for Sanu Gold.

The charts for Sanu Gold Corp look very positive indeed. On its 2-year arithmetic chart below, we can see that, following a severe bear market from the fall of 2022 when it peaked at CA$0.45, a giant slightly downsloping Cup (or Pan) and Handle base has formed. Despite the price bottoming as recently as late February of this year, the giant base pattern actually started to form as far back as June of last year, as this chart makes plain.

The duration of this base pattern has allowed time for the 200-day moving average to drop down close to the price and swing into much better alignment, for downside momentum (MACD) to drop out, and also time for a substantial quantity of stock to rotate from weaker to stronger hands, thus laying the foundation for a new bull market to develop.

One of the &quot;hallmarks&quot; of a genuine Cup and Handle base (or Pan and Handle if it is relatively flat) is the appearance of heavy volume on the rally to form the right side of the Cup, and that we have definitely seen in the case of Sanu Gold. The reason for this is that a group of Smart Money investors suddenly realize that the prospects for the company are getting a lot brighter, and they pile in.

The Handle of the pattern then forms due to the fact that it takes time for the fundamentals of the company to catch up with these heightened expectations. Observe also on the chart how the strong recent upside volume has caused the Accumulation line to surge, which is also a very bullish indication. An important point for buyers or would-be buyers of the stock here to note is that the boundaries of the Handle drawn on the chart are provisional and may require adjusting, depending on how long the Handle continues to build out. The central point to keep in mind though is that &quot;the writing is on the wall&quot; as far as this stock is concerned &mdash; it&#39;s going higher and is expected to do so against the background of a broad sector advance as gold and silver&#39;s still young major bull market continues to unfold.

The shorter-term 6-month chart enables us to review recent action in much more detail, and on it, we can see that price / volume action following the sharp high-volume rally in March to complete the right side of the Cup of the Cup and Handle base has been very bullish, with the dieback in volume suggesting that the pattern of recent weeks may be a bull Flag and if this is what it is the price may not bother to hang around in this price area making a longer Handle before it gets on with it and breaks higher again soon.

It is clear, though, that whether or not it tarries in this area to mark out a longer Handle, we are at a favorable point here, with it having reacted back to the support shown not far above its rising 200-day moving average.

The conclusion is that the outlook for Sanu Gold is very positive, and with it now at a good entry point, it is rated an Immediate Strong Buy for all timeframes. Given that it has already made significant discoveries and that the prospects are good that it will make further important discoveries, there is a strong possibility that it will be taken over.
