The highest price target out of all the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/PLTR/analyst-ratings">analysts</a> tracked by <a href="https://www.benzinga.com">Benzinga </a>is $80 issued by UBS with a &#8216;neutral&#8217; rating on Dec. 19. UBS is bullish on Palantir&#8217;s AI-driven growth potential but remains sidelined due to its extremely high valuation. UBS believes the current valuation is unjustified with 49 times revenue and 124 times free cash flow on 2025 estimates. Despite this, Palantir&#8217;s impressive growth and increasing institutional interest make it a stock to watch for potential future investment opportunities, says UBS.
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives, a strong Palantir bull with a $75 price target issued on Nov. 25 with an &#8216;outperform&#8217; rating. He believes AI spending will surge in 2025. He lauds Palantir as &#8220;the Messi of AI,&#8221; emphasizing its leading role in the AI revolution. Ives highlights the expanding use cases for Palantir&#8217;s products, a growing partner ecosystem, and rising demand for its enterprise AI solutions.
Mizuho raised its price target to $44 while maintaining an &#8216;underperform&#8217; rating. This increase reflects broader software sector multiple expansions. Mizuho identifies key trends driving software growth: digital transformation, AI, data analytics, cloud migrations, DevOps, and cybersecurity. While the risk/reward is more balanced, Mizuho sees continued attractiveness in the software sector.
The lowest target price of $7.5 per share, maintaining an &#8216;underperform&#8217; from Wolfe Research was adjusted on Aug. 8, 2023. The average price target of $64.67 between UBS, Mizuho, and Baird implies a 20.96% downside for PLTR.

Palantir Nearly 3X More Expensive Than Industry Average: PLTR Stock Zooms Over 395% Amid Overbought Conditions

The EV industry revenue for the first 11 months of 2024 rose by 3% to 9.5 trillion yuan ($1.3 trillion), Bloomberg cites PCA. Profits declined by 7.3% to 413.2 billion yuan.
Bloomberg cites&nbsp;Cui Dongshu, the PCA secretary general, as saying that the industry must slash costs and boost efficiency due to the dwindling margins.
China&#8217;s car market, especially its EV sector, has experienced intense rivalry for at least the last two years, prompting a price war.
BYD Co&#8217;s (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDF#OTC">BYDDF</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) consolidation wiped out the smaller players.
Reportedly, China is on <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42690974/whats-going-on-with-chinese-ev-stocks-nio-li-auto-xpeng-thursday" rel="noreferrer noopener">track to lead</a> global EV adoption by 2025, with electric vehicle sales projected to surpass traditional cars for the first time. The country will likely sell over 12 million EVs in 2025, doubling 2022 figures, while traditional car sales may drop below 11 million.
China&#8217;s EV industry progress stems from advancements in domestic technology, securing a global supply chain for lithium and cobalt, and leveraging its large-scale manufacturing to make EVs more affordable for consumers.

China's EV Price Wars Hit Auto Profits, Smaller Players Struggle as Margins Shrink

Analysts expect RPM International Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RPM#NYSE">RPM</a>) to report second-quarter earnings at $1.34 per share before the opening bell, on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025. That&#8217;s up from $1.22 per share in the year-ago period. 
The Medina, Ohio-based company projects quarterly revenue of $1.79 billion, compared to $1.79 billion a year earlier, according to data from <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga Pro</a>. On Oct. 2, RPM International reported first-quarter results. Sales declined 2.1% Y/Y to $1.97 billion, missing the consensus of $2.015 billion.
With the recent buzz around RPM International, some investors may be eyeing potential gains from its dividends. The company currently offers an annual dividend yield of 1.63%. That&#8217;s a quarterly dividend of 51 cents per share ($2.04 a year).
So, how can investors exploit its dividend yield to pocket a regular $500 monthly?
To earn $500 per month or $6,000 annually from dividends alone, you would need an investment of approximately $368,860 or around 2,941 shares. For a more modest $100 per month or $1,200 per year, you would need $73,747 or around 588 shares.
To calculate: Divide the desired annual income ($6,000 or $1,200) by the dividend ($2.04 in this case). So, $6,000 / $2.04 = 2,941 ($500 per month), and $1,200 / $2.04 = 588 shares ($100 per month).
Note that dividend yield can change on a rolling basis, as the dividend payment and the stock price both fluctuate over time.
How that works: The dividend yield is computed by dividing the annual dividend payment by the stock&#8217;s current price.
For example, if a stock pays an annual dividend of $2 and is currently priced at $50, the dividend yield would be 4% ($2/$50). However, if the stock price increases to $60, the dividend yield drops to 3.33% ($2/$60). Conversely, if the stock price falls to $40, the dividend yield rises to 5% ($2/$40).
Similarly, changes in the dividend payment can impact the yield. If a company increases its dividend, the yield will also increase, provided the stock price stays the same. Conversely, if the dividend payment decreases, so will the yield.
RPM Price Action: Shares of RPM fell 0.6% to close at $125.42 on Thursday.

Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban attempted to invest in popular video-sharing app TikTok in the early stages before it was ever called TikTok, but the company <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/startups/24/12/42618228/mark-cuban-admits-ive-gotten-beat-after-losing-20-million-on-shark-tank-startups">turned him away</a>.
What Happened: According to a CNBC <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2024/12/26/mark-cuban-tried-to-invest-in-musically-before-it-became-tiktok.html">report</a> citing a recent interview with social media personality Jules Terpak, Cuban once attempted to invest in Musical.ly, the video-sharing app that ultimately became TikTok, because he &#8220;loved&#8221; using the platform.
"I remember when it was Musical.ly and I tried to invest … Oh my god, I loved it because I could just turn it on and there would be 15,000 people live immediately that I could talk to,"&nbsp;Cuban reportedly told Terpak in the interview.
The report indicates that Cuban&#8217;s bid for an investment in Musical.ly was unsuccessful because the company didn&#8217;t need the money and wasn&#8217;t looking to take on any new investors. 
Musical.ly ended up being acquired by TikTok parent company Bytedance for around $800 million in 2017. The video-sharing app then merged into TikTok about a year after the acquisition.

Cuban prefers the older version of the app that focused on music and dancing. Nowadays, TikTok &#8220;feels more corporate&#8221; and business-focused, especially since the revenue-sharing program launch, Cuban said in the interview. 
"I liked it better when it was dances [and] music … Now it's a business,"&nbsp;he said.
It&#8217;s not clear how much Cuban would have invested in Musical.ly if he were given the opportunity. It&#8217;s also not clear exactly how much he would have made from the investment.
Assuming Cuban could have invested at a similar valuation to what Bytedance paid for Musical.ly in 2017 ($800 million), the investment would have appreciated enormously. According to an Economic Times<a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/technology/tiktok-parent-bytedances-valuation-hits-300-billion-sources-say/articleshow/115380343.cms?from=mdr"> report</a>, TikTok parent company Bytedance valued itself at around $300 billion in a recent buyback offer to investors.
