Like the entire telecommunications industry, T-Mobile has been closely monitoring ongoing reports about a series of highly coordinated cyberattacks by bad actors known as "Salt Typhoon" that are reported to be linked to Chinese state-sponsored operations. Many reports claim these bad actors have gained access to some providers' customer information over an extended period of time – phone calls, text messages, and other sensitive information, particularly from government officials. This is not the case at T-Mobile. To clear up some misleading media reports, here is what we're currently seeing, much of which we believe is different from what is being seen by other providers.
<ul>
<li>Within the last few weeks, we detected attempts to infiltrate our systems by bad actors. This originated from a wireline provider's network that was connected to ours.</li>
<li>We see no instances of prior attempts like this.</li>
<li>Our defenses protected our sensitive customer information, prevented any disruption of our services, and stopped the attack from advancing. Bad actors had no access to sensitive customer data (including calls, voicemails or texts).</li>
<li>We quickly severed connectivity to the provider's network as we believe it was – and may still be – compromised.</li>
<li>We do not see these or other attackers in our systems at this time.</li>
<li>We cannot definitively identify the attacker's identity, whether Salt Typhoon or another similar group, but we have reported our findings to the government for assessment.</li>
</ul>
Simply put, our defenses worked as designed – from our layered network design to robust monitoring and partnerships with third-party cyber security experts and a prompt response – to prevent the attackers from advancing and, importantly, stopped them from accessing sensitive customer information. Other providers may be seeing different outcomes.
We have shared what we've learned with industry and government leaders as we collectively work to combat these large-scale, sophisticated national threats. Last week, I had the opportunity to join a meeting at the White House with other leaders to discuss how we're mitigating these threats. As we all have a mutual goal to protect American consumers, we felt it was important to communicate more about what we've seen with providers who may still be fighting these adversaries.

Current estimates are calling for full-year earnings of $13.88 per share. Net sales are now projected at $13.2 billion to $13.3 billion, compared to the prior range of $13.1 billion to $13.2 billion.

What's Going On With Dick's Sporting Goods Stock Wednesday?

One year after placing a record-shattering $52 billion order, Emirates Airlines voiced frustration with Boeing (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BA#NYSE">BA</a>) over delays in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/aviation">aircraft deliveries</a>.
"We're a frustrated entity because we need airplanes, and we need them now," Emirates President Sir Tim Clark <a href="https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/business/2024/11/27/emirates-frustrated-with-boeing-as-777x-delays-slow-growth/">told </a>BNN Bloomberg, extending his criticism to Airbus. He blamed both plane makers for being late and providing aircraft that didn't meet his specifications.
Boeing did not immediately respond to Benzinga&#8217;s request for comment.
Clark, who announced the deal at the 2023 Dubai Air Show, expressed uncertainty about when the first 205 Boeing 777X aircraft will finally enter service, as this flagship model is currently five years behind schedule.
Boeing's operational challenges have increased over the years, drawing significant attention after a door plug blew out on an Alaska Airlines 737 MAX flight in January.

Eventually, the company appointed Kelly Ortberg as CEO in August, following his tenure as the leader of Collins Aerospace. Since taking the helm, Ortberg has focused on resolving production bottlenecks, dedicating substantial time to Seattle's manufacturing facilities.
However, a seven-week strike involving 33,000 workers halted most jet production, reducing September deliveries to just 27 737 MAX aircraft, far below the 38 allowed by regulators.
Although management has reached a strike-ending deal, the union failed to reach one of its main goals—the reinstatement of a traditional pension plan that was frozen a year ago. Per HR Brew's <a href="https://www.hr-brew.com/stories/2024/11/01/boeing-and-union-leadership-reach-a-deal-to-end-the-strike-but-will-the-lack-of-a-traditional-pension-kill-it">report</a>, analysts estimated such a deal could cost Boeing over $1.6 billion annually—a sum that the company with negative shareholder equity and over $57 billion in debt cannot afford.
In fact, Boeing still needs to undergo a significant overhaul. To manage financial strain and improve operational efficiency, it will <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/global/24/11/42052735/boeing-to-lay-off-over-2500-workers-in-the-us-amid-global-workforce-reduction">cut its global workforce by 10%</a>, totaling 17,000 jobs, including 2,500 in the U.S.
Despite the setbacks, Clark remains cautiously optimistic about Boeing's turnaround under Ortberg&#8217;s leadership, though he stressed the need for visible improvement soon. The delays have forced Emirates to invest $4 billion to upgrade its current fleet of A380s and older 777 jets, bridging the gap until new aircraft arrive.

Smart Money Is Betting Big In NOW Options

As December approaches, Sony Group Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SONY#NYSE">SONY</a>) has revealed the exciting lineup of games coming to its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/playstation-plus">PS Plus subscription service</a>.
PlayStation is also celebrating its 30th anniversary with a series of special events for players, as detailed in a<a href="https://blog.playstation.com/2024/11/27/playstation-plus-monthly-games-for-december-it-takes-two-aliens-dark-descent-temtem/?sf275598532=1"> blog post.</a>
The December offerings will be available from Dec. 3 to Jan. 6, and they include a mix of genre-defining titles, beloved classics, and fresh experiences for both new and long-time fans of the PlayStation ecosystem.

PS Plus subscribers across all tiers—Essential, Extra, and Premium—can expect three standout titles to download in December:

<li>It Takes Two (PS4, PS5): This award-winning cooperative adventure from Hazelight Studios has captivated players with its heartfelt story and innovative gameplay mechanics. Players will be tasked with navigating the emotional journey of two dolls brought to life, as they work together to overcome obstacles and save their relationship.</li>
<li>Aliens: Dark Descent (PS4, PS5): Set in the iconic Alien universe, this real-time tactical action game invites players to control a squad of Colonial Marines battling to survive the deadly xenomorphs. Furthermore, PlayStation will host an esports tournament during the same weekend, featuring popular titles like EA Sports FC 25, NBA 2K25, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Madden NFL 25, College Football 25, UFC 5, MLB The Show 24, and Guilty Gear Strive.

In addition to the game releases, Sony is celebrating PlayStation's 30th anniversary with several special promotions:

PS Plus December Lineup: New Games, Exclusive Trials And 30th Anniversary Surprises

U.S. stocks traded lower toward the end of trading, with the Nasdaq Composite falling more than 100 points on Wednesday.
The Dow traded down 0.28% to 44,734.33 while the NASDAQ fell 0.66% to 19,048.75. The S&amp;P 500 also fell, dropping, 0.37% to 5,999.25.

<li>Unusual Machines, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UMAC#NYSE">UMAC</a>) shares were also up, gaining 74% to $9.30 after the company announced that Donald Trump Jr. has joined its advisory board.</li>

<ul>
<li>Symbotic Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SYM#NASDAQ">SYM</a>) shares dropped 38% to $23.02 after the company cut its first-quarter revenue forecast.</li>
<li>Shares of Outlook Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/OTLK#NASDAQ">OTLK</a>) were down 63% to $1.7999 after the company announced it plans to resubmit the biologics license application for ONS-5010 after reporting preliminary topline results of its Norse eight clinical trial.</li>
<li>HP Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HPQ#NYSE">HPQ</a>) was down, falling 13% to $34.21 after the company reported fourth-quarter financial results and issued first-quarter adjusted EPS guidance below estimates.</li>
</ul>
Commodities In commodity news, oil traded down 0.7% to $68.28 while gold traded up 0.7% at $2,638.70.
Silver traded down 0.9% to $30.120 on Wednesday, while copper rose 0.7% to $4.1460.
Euro zone
European shares closed mostly lower today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 slipped 0.19%, Germany's DAX fell 0.18% and France's CAC 40 dipped 0.72%. Spain's IBEX 35 Index fell 0.33%, while London's FTSE 100 rose 0.20%.
The GfK Consumer Climate Indicator for Germany declined to a reading of -23.3 points heading into December, recording the lowest level since May.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed mostly higher on Wednesday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 falling 0.80%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gaining 2.32%, China's Shanghai Composite Index climbing 1.53% and India's BSE Sensex gaining 0.29%.
Economics
<ul>
<li>The U.S. economy grew by an annualized rate of 2.8% in the third quarter, the same as in the flash reading, versus 3% in the previous quarter.</li>
<li>U.S. initial jobless claims came in unchanged at 213,000 for the week ending Nov. 23, compared to market estimates of 216,000.</li>
<li>The U.S. goods trade deficit shrank to $99.1 billion in October versus a revised gap of $108.7 billion in the previous month.</li>
<li>U.S. wholesale inventories increased by 0.2% month-over-month to $905 billion in October, compared to a 0.2% decline in the prior month.</li>
<li>The Chicago PMI fell to 40.2 in November compared to 41.6 in September.</li>
<li>U.S. crude oil inventories declined by 1.844 million barrels in the week ended Nov. 22, compared to market estimates of a 1.1 million fall.</li>
<li>U.S. personal income increased by 0.6% month-over-month to $24.96 trillion in October, while personal spending rose by 0.4% to an annualized rate of $20.1 trillion.</li>
<li>The US core PCE price index increased by 0.3% month-over-month in October, the same pace as in the previous month, in-line with market estimates.</li>
<li>U.S. pending home sales rose 2% month-over-month in October compared to a revised 7.5% gain in September.</li>
<li>The total number of active U.S. oil rigs fell by two to 477 rigs this week, Baker Hughes Inc reported.</li>
