What Happened: This new all-time high (ATH) surpasses the previous record set in March 2024, showcasing the intensity of profit-taking as Bitcoin edges closer to the $100,000 milestone.
The <a href="https://insights.glassnode.com/the-week-onchain-week-48-2024/">report</a> highlights that long-term holders (LTHs) have distributed over 507,000 BTC since September, leveraging recent price rallies to lock in gains.
"Long-Term Holders are currently realizing a massive $2.02B in realized profit per day," Glassnode states, adding that the robust demand side has been crucial in absorbing this increased sell-side pressure. 
However, this level of profit-taking raises questions about market sustainability as Bitcoin navigates its latest bull run.
Interestingly, the composition of coins being sold shows a dominance of relatively newer holdings. 
"Most LTH coins transacting are likely to have been acquired relatively recently, more likely to be 6 months old than 5 years old on average," Glassnode notes.
Coins aged between six months and one year accounted for 35.3% of the realized profits, amounting to $12.6 billion in total, indicating significant activity from mid-term investors who entered the market during the ETF launch rally.
The realized profit distribution also reflects varied strategies among investors. While those with smaller percentage gains locked in $10.1 billion (0%-20% profit range), high-return holders—those with profits exceeding 300%—contributed $10.7 billion.

This suggests a "chips-off-the-table" approach, where participants with lower cost bases sell smaller quantities of coins but achieve similar profit volumes in USD terms.
The current surge in realized profits also points to a more aggressive distribution phase compared to previous cycles. 
"The relative rate of LTH spending is larger than the March 2024 ATH, underscoring a more aggressive distribution campaign," Glassnode explains. 
Despite this, the total volume of coin destruction—an indicator of how long spent coins were held—is lower, suggesting that many of the coins being sold were acquired more recently.
As Bitcoin inches closer to the $100,000 mark, the market is showing signs of an overhang in supply, which may necessitate a period of re-accumulation. 
The rapid pace of the rally has also left a noticeable "air gap" below $88,000, a zone that could become critical if the market corrects before attempting <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/bitcoin-price-prediction">another move upward</a>.

Agenus Gets $22M Mortgage, Plans Strategic Realignment To Focus On Colorectal Cancer Drug Development

Interactive Strength Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TRNR#NASDAQ">TRNR</a>) shares are trading higher by 28.3% to $3.53 during Wednesday&#8217;s session after the company announced it received a letter from Nasdaq confirming its compliance with the listing rule and will successfully conclude hearings and the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/11/ac42210886/interactive-strength-inc-nasdaq-trnr-successfully-concludes-hearings-panel-appeal-and-confirms-de">panel appeal process</a>.
What Else: Wednesday&#8217;s news marks the conclusion of a Hearings Panel appeal process initiated in May. Interactive Strength also reported a stockholder equity of $5.8 million for the third quarter, surpassing the $2.5 million minimum requirement. 
&#8220;This milestone is critical for our continued growth,&#8221; said Trent Ward, Co-Founder and CEO of TRNR. He added that the resolution of compliance concerns enables the company to fully focus on executing its growth strategy and delivering shareholder value.

An inflation gauge that&#8217;s closely watched by the Federal Reserve rose as anticipated in October, while personal income and spending data continues to reveal a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/econ-s">resilient U.S. consumer. </a>
Earlier on Wednesday, the second estimate of the third-quarter economic growth was 2.8%, in line with the data initially reported. 
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Inflation Rises Again In October</h3>
The Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index rose 2.3% in October on a year-over-year basis, accelerating from September&#8217;s 2.1% reading but matching economist expectations of 2.3%, based on TradingEconomics projections. 
On a monthly basis, the PCE index increased by 0.2%, in line with both the prior reading and forecasts of 0.2%.
When excluding volatile food and energy costs, the core PCE price index — widely regarded as the Fed&#8217;s most reliable inflation measure — climbed to 2.8% year-over-year in October, up from September&#8217;s 2.7% and in line with economist forecasts.
On a monthly basis, core PCE inflation remained steady at 0.3%, mirroring September&#8217;s pace.
Personal income soared by 0.6% in October, higher than the 0.3% figure recorded in the prior month and exceeding market expectations. 
Personal spending, while showing signs of slowing from 0.5% in September to 0.4% in October, also came in above expectations of 0.3%.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Inflation Data Keeps December Rate Odds Steady</h3>
The economic data released on Wednesday underscores the resilience of the U.S. economy while signaling that inflationary pressures may require careful monitoring in the months ahead.
Market expectations for a Federal Reserve interest rate cut in December remained steady Wednesday. 
Prior to the release of the GDP and PCE reports, traders assigned a 66% probability to a 25-basis-point rate cut at the Federal Open Market Committee meeting Dec. 18. The latest data did not alter those odds, according to the CME FedWatch tool.
The U.S. dollar index (DXY) — as tracked by the Invesco DB USD Index Bullish Fund ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UUP#NYSE">UUP</a>) — was 0.6% lower on Wednesday.
Stocks traded mostly flat on Wednesday morning, with the SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) edging down 0.1% as of 10:05 a.m. EST in New York. The subdued activity reflects a light trading session ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
