Former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick is hardly out of the news. He was just featured in a Dunkin' Donuts Super Bowl Ad alongside actors Ben and Casey Affleck and Jeremy Strong. The ad also featured 72-year-old Belichick's 24-year-old girlfriend Jordan Hudson. However, aside from the celeb shoulder-rubbing and eyebrow-raising dating, the veteran coach has amassed a solid property portfolio.
Luxury Massachusetts & Florida Homes
The legendary coach who led the Patriots to a record six Super Bowl wins and recently became the head football coach at the University of North Carolina owns multiple homes in his beloved Massachusetts. According to realtor.com, he purchased a house for $1.4 million in 2006 (it has appreciated over a million since he bought it). In the same year, he purchased a Nantucket home for $4.6 million which he lost in the divorce to his ex-wife Debbie Clarke.

After decades in the chilly Northeast, it's hardly surprising that Belichick also owns a bolt-hole in Jupiter, Florida. He purchased a four-bedroom, three-bathroom 4,085 square foot home that enjoys views of the Intracoastal Highway for $1.6 million in 2009. It is now estimated to be worth $3.7 million.
A New Job And A Bumper Payday
According to College Sports Network, Belichick's current net worth, based purely on his $10 million a year salary for his North Carolina head coach post, is $50 million. However, that doesn't include the generous bonus package, which could earn him an additional $3.5 million yearly based on wins. Neither does it factor in the money he made while at the New England Patriots.
In 2007, a year after his divorce from Clarke, Spotrac reported that his 2007 extension with the Patriots netted him $45 million. ESPN revealed that his salary in 2007 was $4.2 million, and he could have expected to earn between $6 million and $8 million for the extension over seven years. Belichick's real estate portfolio is a small change compared to these numbers, which puts his current net worth north of $70 million.

Amongst The Highest Paid NFL Coaches
While Belichick's salary history is impressive, it falls below the amount current top NFL coaches earn. According to Sportsnaut, the highest-paid coach in the NFL is Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs, with a salary of $20 million per year. Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Siriann, who just masterminded the demolition of the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, is on a comparatively lowly $7 million-a-year contract, according to ESPN/ABC, but given his success, will undoubtedly be up for a contract extension and a considerable pay rise.
Out Earned By Playing Protegées
Belichick's net worth is considerably outsized by some of his former players, most notably Tom Brady, on a 10-year deal as a Fox Sports analyst of $37.5 million per year. This is aside from the $512 million he reportedly made in the NFL as a player and through endorsements and doesn't factor in his post-retirement endorsements and investments.
