The property where disgraced family vlogger Ruby Franke did the unthinkable to her own children is about to have new owners. Located in Ivins, Utah, the single-family home is pending sale, according to its listings on Realtor.com and Zillow. It's listed for nearly $5 million, but it's unclear how much the sale is actually for.
According to the listings, the home has been on the market for over a year. It features four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and an in-ground pool with spa. The 10,000-square-foot property sits on a cul-de-sac and has stunning mountain views. However, the events that took place there were horrifying.

Ruby had a popular family YouTube channel, "8 Passengers," when she started posting her husband and six kids in 2015. The family were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2020, Ruby came under criticism due to her strict parenting style that many viewers considered abusive. One such punishment involved forcing her oldest son, Chad, to sleep on a beanbag in the basement for months.
Ruby and her husband, Kevin Franke, hired Jodi Hildebrandt, a therapist and the founder of ConneXions, to work with Chad and his behavior. The couple even joined ConneXions classes to save their marriage. Hildebrandt eventually moved in with the Franke family and forced Kevin to move out and cut off all contact with his wife and children. While the two oldest children, Shari and Chad, were out of the house, the four youngest, Abby, Julie, Franke and Eve, stayed with Ruby and Hildebrandt. In 2023, they all moved into Hildebrandt's Ivins home, which was 300 miles away from their own.

In the Ivins home that is now pending sale, the two youngest children, 12-year-old Russell and 9-year-old Eve, were tortured. The harrowing events and what led up to them were documented on Hulu's "Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke," which was released on Feb. 27. The abuse was documented in Ruby's journal, where she described her kids as "evil," "manipulative" and "possessed" with demons. Along with Hildebrandt, Ruby deprived her kids of food and water, forced them to sleep outside and dressed their wounds with a mixture of cayenne pepper and honey. She also shaved her daughter's head and poked her son with a "cactus poker." In 2023, Russell escaped and went to a neighbor's house asking for help. He had duct tape around his wrists and ankles. Ruby and Hildebrandt were arrested and charged with six counts of aggravated child abuse. They pleaded guilty to four charges, and both were sentenced to four one- to 15-year terms. Due to a Utah law about consecutive terms, however, they won't serve more than 30 years.
The week of March 31, 2024, the Ivins property earned Realtor.com's top spot for most views of the week.
