At a recent Tesla shareholder meeting, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, shared that two homicidal maniacs threatened to kill him and others in the past seven months.

During the meeting, a shareholder asked Musk what he was doing to stay healthy and safe. Musk admitted he might need to start working out to avoid being "assassinated," adding, "It’s getting a little crazy these days" and "I’m on the list, you know."

Don't Miss:

He pointed out that the more well-known and exposed you are, the higher the chance that a homicidal maniac will target you. "We actually did have two homicidal maniacs in the last roughly seven months come to aspirationally try to kill me and a bunch of other people, so it’s not just me, and then there wasn't like an actual issue that they articulated. They were just in the homicidal maniac career, so I do need to be kind of careful," Musk said.

Because of all of this, Musk says he has to be "a bit more standoffish" and stop signing things for fans before comparing himself to John Lennon, who was tragically killed in 1980 by a fan, Mark David Chapman, after Lennon signed a Beatless album for him.

"Think of like John Lennon who was like singing about like hey can’t we all just be nice to each other and then he got shot, you know, by one of his fans like, OK this we’ll try to avoid that um so anyway I appreciate the kind sentiments I will endeavor to uh stay alive," said Musk.

Trending: Warren Buffett once said, "If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die." These high-yield real estate notes that pay 7.5% – 9% make earning passive income easier than ever.

But this incident isn’t the only one for Elon Musk. In 2022, he reported incidents involving stalkers, one of whom followed a car carrying his son, leading Musk to publicize the incident on social media to raise awareness about the dangers he faces from obsessed individuals.

Musk intensified his security measures in response to various threats and incidents. He employs a 24/7 security detail, which includes bodyguards, private security guards, and armed escorts. This security is exceptionally tight, with at least two bodyguards accompanying him at all times, even within his office and to the restroom at Twitter headquarters, according to a Twitter engineer and reported by Business Insider.
