Elon Musk seems to be stepping into the spotlight as the conservative answer to George Soros and he’s not shying away from that comparison. At a gathering at Mar-a-Lago on Nov. 14, Musk embraced the idea, saying, "I guess someone’s got to be the George Soros on the right. I mean, I’d call myself George Soros of the center, I think."

The tech billionaire addressed the enthusiastic crowd, outlining his vision for what he believes America needs moving forward. It all comes down to common sense, he said. "We obviously need to have just the basics. As President Donald Trump rightly said, what we need is the restoration of common sense," Musk declared, emphasizing priorities like safe cities, secure borders, responsible government spending, freedom of speech and respect for the Constitution. "If that’s George Soros of the right, that’s me," he said.
Musk's remarks were well-received, especially since he's become an influential figure in Republican circles lately, reportedly contributing over $118 million to America PAC, a pro-Trump super PAC. As the Washington Post reported, he's also looking to push back against what he views as the influence of progressive district attorneys funded by George Soros or "Soros DAs," saying he wants to see more accountability when it comes to crime and justice.

Musk spoke genuinely excitedly about the future, insisting that the American people had sent a clear message. "The public has given us a mandate that could not be more clear. It’s the clearest mandate," he said. He pointed to Republican victories across the House, the Senate and a majority of governorships and state legislatures as proof that Americans are hungry for change.
And Musk believes this change is coming, boldly suggesting that it could be "the most transformative presidency, perhaps, since the country’s founding." He praised President Donald Trump's Cabinet choices, describing them as "people who are actually going to make change" and promised that this time, it wouldn't be "business as usual."

"We're going to shake things up. It’s going to be a revolution and we're headed toward, I think, a fantastic future," Musk told the audience. His optimism was clear as he wrapped up his remarks, adding, "I'm super excited. I look forward to experiencing that with everyone."
With Musk aligning himself as a key player in the conservative movement and embracing comparisons to Soros, he intends to wield his influence in a big way – not just for Trump but for the broader Republican agenda. Whether or not this shift will bring the kind of transformation Musk envisions remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Elon Musk is ready to play a major role in the future of American politics.
