Nvidia Falls 3% On Tegra 2 Chatter (NVDA, AAPL)

Nvidia NVDA shares have lost around 3% on Friday and are currently trading at $17.59, which compares to a 52-week high in February of $26.17. At the Consumer Electronics Show this year, the company showed off its new Tegra 2 chip, which sent the stock surging due to significantly increased revenue expectations at NVDA as a result of Tegra 2. The stock has cooled off, as has the hype surrounding Tegra 2. A couple of different articles are out today which suggest Tegra 2 may need to be improved and is inferior to Apple's AAPL A5 processor which the company built for the iPad 2. The Apple chip, however is substantially bigger than the Tegra chip. Nvidia's customers may not want a bigger chip, which means that the company may have to figure out a way to pack more powerful performance using the same chip size.
