Tesla Strikes Solar Roof Installation Partnerships

Tesla Inc TSLA has been installing the company's solar roof product for over a year now, and ramping up installation speed and production during that time.

Now it looks like Tesla will be relying on other companies to reach more homes.

Tesla is training multiple companies to install solar roofs across the U.S., according to Electrek.

Tesla ramped up solar roof production in March, and at the time was making more than it was able to install. 

Benzinga's Take: Training other companies is a great idea, as local codes could be difficult for Tesla to keep up with. The faster Tesla can install solar roofs, the faster they achieve the company's goal of transitioning the world to sustainable energy.
