Tesla Inc TSLA often turns the car buying experience on its head by offering options that traditional automaker don't have.
They include no-haggle pricing listed directly online; improvemnts to the car after purchase; and, until recently, a seven-day return policy.
When buying a Tesla, customers used to be able to return the car for a full refund — no questions asked — within seven days or 1,000 miles, whichever came first.
Now that option has disappeared from the Tesla website, and Tesla China confirmed the return policy has ended, according to the Global Times.
Benzinga's Take: There isn't much explanation as to why Tesla has done this. Perhaps the company was receiving too many returns and did not want to offer the option anymore. Or perhaps demand for the cars is enough that the company doesn't feel the need to offer this incentive.
