Kristin is an internet celebrity in California and has tens of thousands of followers as a streamer on MICO, a social app launched by Newborn Town. Cyberbullying is a common occurrence for her and her friends, according to Kristin. On certain internet platforms, there're even streamers who have committed suicide due to rampant cyber violence.

Last month, Kristin and two of her friends joined MICO's live stream campaign - "I Say No To Cyber Bullying" -as a way to call on the internet community to fight against such violence. The event attracted numbers of netizens, contributing to an increase by 15% in terms of the average online user number at her livehouse that day.

"I Say No To Cyber Bullying" is a live stream campaign held by MICO in the US. A group of six streamers who are concerned about online violence were selected officially by MICO to establish the "Justice League", and they conducted live streaming on the topic of anti-cyber bullying successively within a week. In addition to raising the public's awareness of cyber bullying, the social environment on MICO has become more diverse and positive as well.

As mentioned in her broadcast, the progress of modern internet technology has made it easier for information to spread, but characteristics such as anonymity, lowered access threshold and instantaneity also lead to cyber bullying, including verbal attacks, rumors and slander, as well as invasion of personal privacy, to a certain extent. Online violence is almost inevitable on all internet platforms, whether it is YouTube, Facebook or Instagram.

Public data indicates that 59% of American teenagers have suffered from at least one type of online violence, such as malicious comments and email harassment, 41% of American adults have personally experienced internet harassment, and 11% of American internet users have been depressed or even suicidal due to cyber bullying. Cyber bullying affects people of all ages, and is destructive to its victims, so adequate attention must be paid to this problem.

Through MICO's "I Say No To Cyber Bullying" campaign, streamers represented by Kristin can not only call attention to issues of cyber violence, but also inspire those who are suffering to say "NO". Meanwhile, MICO also played a role in positively guiding the atmosphere within the association of streamers on the platform, so as to build its ecology of high-quality contents in the form of "live streaming + positivity".

Newborn Town has long devoted to public welfare, which, asides from the "I Say No To Cyber Bullying" campaign, includes donating to help the victims of a volcano eruption in Indonesia, donating to love schools in Egypt, and raising money for stray animals, etc. Based on localization, the company is actively taking its social responsibilities and has built a respected corporate image worldwide.

Exclusively focused on the global market, Newborn Town has launched diversified video and audio social networking products, such as MICO and YoHo, which enjoy great popularity in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia. Now Newborn Town is vigorously expanding into developed markets, and has accomplished preliminary success in markets of Europe and North America. Relying on localized product design and operation, it will produce high-quality social networking experiences to more overseas users, with its financial growth worth the wait.
