Faster Than Ever: Delivery Times For Tesla Model 3 Or Y In China Continue To Drop

Throughout the pandemic, Tesla Inc TSLA has had a hard time keeping up with demand as supply chain issues constrained the company while demand for electric vehicles also increased. But earlier this year, after upgrading the Shanghai factory, Tesla was able to begin delivering vehicles faster while lowering customer wait times. Now, the company indicates that those times are dropping even more.

As reported by Reuters, Tesla's China webiste has updated the wait times for its Model 3 and Y vehicles, with the fastest estimated delivery of as low as one week, and the longest wait period of as much as five weeks. 

Last month, Tesla cut the prices of these vehicles in China to boost sales. In addition, last week Tesla offered a special rebate for buyers that take delivery quickly and sign up for insurance with one of Tesla's partners. Reuters recently published a story claiming Tesla was considering exporting China made cars to the U.S., but CEO Elon Musk responded "False" on Twitter
