Tesla Inc TSLA directors Kimbal Musk and Robyn M Denholm as well as Chief Financial Officer Vaibhav Taneja sold shares of the company over the past week, according to recent filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
What Happened: According to a filing dated Feb. 3, Denholm, Director of Tesla and board chair, sold 112,390 shares of the company worth about $43.2 million.
Taneja on the same day sold 7,000 shares worth $2.8 million.
The filings noted that the transactions by both Taneja and Denholm are part of a trading plan adopted last year. Both acquired the shares they sold as part of a stock option plan.
Tesla board member and Elon Musk’s brother Kimbal Musk, meanwhile, sold 75,000 shares worth $27.6 million a few days later on Feb. 6. Unlike Denholm and Taneja, this is Musk’s first sale of securities in the past three months.
Price Action: Tesla stock closed down 1% on Thursday at $374.32. The stock is up by about 100% over the past year, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
