Winners From Amazon's 2017 Summer Toy List

Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN's push to become a seller of nearly everything is making a major push into toys. The online retailer released on Monday a curated list of more than 400 toys to ensure that customers' summer days will be "non-stop fun."

"Our team of toy experts are excited about all the new, top-selling and highly-rated toys for this summer season," said Eva Lorenz, category leader of toys & games for Amazon.com.

"Perhaps more than any other season, parents are looking to engage and entertain their children during the summer while they're out of school. Our goal is to make finding that perfect toy as easy and convenient as possible for customers, whether they're looking for a STEM toy that keeps them learning or a water toy for those extra hot days."

Some Winners From The List

Here is a brief list of ideas for consumers and a gauge for toy investors to see what items are popular.

• Movie-themed toys, including Walt Disney Co DIS's "Cars 3 puzzles, and Marvel's "The Avengers" figurines.
• Hasbro, Inc. HAS's Nerf toys remain a classic choice for kids. This year consumers can buy the newest products, including the Nerf Nitro DuelFury Demolition.
• Hasbro's 24-pack of colors Play-Doh is also featured as Amazon Exclusive.
• The active play category is a classic summer activity and Mattel, Inc. MAT's Fisher-Price unit is selling a Power Wheels Wild Thing for $249.99.
