Science Confirms Safe, Effective Daily Dose Of CBD For Dogs - Long-Term And No Risks
A recent study published in Frontiers in Veterinary Science reveals that healthy dogs can safely consume cannabinoids like CBD, CBDA, and CBG daily with minimal risk over the long term. The study, which involved 32 healthy beagle dogs, showed that these cannabinoids were well-tolerated when given at a dose of 5 mg/kg body weight/day for 90 consecutive days. The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) highlighted these findings, stating that different cannabidiols are safe for long-term use in healthy dogs. This research contributes to a growing body of evidence on the positive effects of cannabis on animals. Previous studies have shown that CBD can reduce pain and improve mobility in arthritic dogs, as well as relieve stress in dogs during car travel or when left alone.
