NBA Star Jim McMahon Promotes Revenant's THC Hemp Products At Vegas Golf Classic
Former NFL players Jim McMahon and Marv Fleming teamed up to promote the launch of Revenant, a company that produces hemp products made with premium indoor smokable THC hemp flower. The products are available for purchase in all 50 states. McMahon and Fleming, both former Super Bowl champions, urged the NFL to stop testing players for marijuana, stating that they have been misinformed about the benefits of the cannabis plant. "We want people to experience what we have, that can happen nationwide now with hemp," McMahon said. Last year, the NFL and its players' union announced they would fund two research grants to study the therapeutic benefits of CBD as a pain treatment alternative for players with concussions. In February 2022, the NFL awarded $1 million in a grant to two teams of medical researchers to study the effects of CBD on pain management and neuroprotection from concussion among elite football players.
